  1. Past hour
  2. He didn't start a game after Mid-March and made fleeting substitute appearances. He'd gone off the boil and been dropped long before the season ended.
  3. If you've got ambition as a player then surely Coventry more attractive than Derby. Stronger financial position, a few years ahead on development, play-offs last year and managed by 'Super Frank' Lampard which will probably appeal to players.
  4. Rovers will budge eventually, but probably in a couple of weeks once they realise Derby aren't paying the figure we want. Derby know we are in a financial crisis and know that all parties want the move and we need the money. We are in a very weak position of our own making.
  5. There are thousands feeling like you Bohinen. Most of them just walked away and won’t come back. Even for me it doesn’t feel like the club I supported for over fifty years. I went from watching Ronnie Clayton running out with the ball under his arm, to the Stewards invading the fans in the Darwen end to tackle the anti Kean protestors. If there was a turning point that was it. I just felt everything had changed. It wasn’t the club I’d grown up with.
  6. I think this will be the case Derby have other needs and won’t spend the 3mill itl take for venkys to budge on Travis 1.5 plus bonuses was their second offer which is insulting in itself Coventry could well step in - however Travis said he wants to go to Derby whether that’s because they are the only official team in for him or if it’s because of Eustace
  7. All this is secondary to the question "is the replacement cheap?" No luck, it's the plan and has been for a while. Only for the fans, nobody else gives a hoot.
  8. Looks like Coventry's Rudoni is going to Southampton, wonder if they will target Travis.
  9. Agree, I said we should of played full strength then filter the youngsters in . But what do I know
  10. He doesn't seem to have picked up where he left off. Winds me up flapping his arms around at a poor pass but doesn't chase it down its like he runs abit to force place but gives up chasing. I think lastnight changed when cantwell and kargbo came on. They were playing to the right most of the game but felt we were more dangerous from the left when we started running at them.
  11. Elliot Jackson: Lewis Travis state of play: #Rovers are not budging from their valuation and Derby have yet to up their offer. Understand they’ve bid twice with latest around Β£1.5M plus bonuses. It’s an impasse that needs resolving quickly. Hard to see how he features on Sat right now. Can see this turning rotten. Dont think Derby will pay what we want.
  12. Nothing has changed. This is the problem. Look forward to welcoming you all to Ewood Park Saturday
  13. Another new member of Sgt Eustace Lonely Rovers Club Band. Let's see if he can play his Tuba as well there. He certainly got caught out at Ipswich.
  14. Rovers have just shared an advert for the new Panini stickers coming to the EFL this season and the comments are all quite good "can't wait to stick all our players in the Derby section" etc The advert mentions collecting your favourite players but another comment says "all my favourite players have just left" Great times isn't it πŸ˜„
  15. This whole transfer window is being completely side tracked by players leaving. Brittain refused to play, then went on a lads holiday and then went. Travis too, Dolan where would he end up. No matter how good or important we think they might be, if they're going the club needs to name their price. If they don't meet our valuation tough shit. None of the names mentioned are irreplaceable or worth keeping around if unhappy. Enough so that they tell the club they want to go. Ship them out and move on. I like how open and honest the manager is but at the same time it's detrimental to the group, who are staying and the fans who just see it as our captain wants to leave. If a bid comes in and the club deem it good value and the players are actively trying to push for the move. Do it, we can't go back to losing players on a free. Who down tools in January and have one eye on leaving.
  16. Unlucky fellas, those questions were really tough & as said above, the lads from Bolton were superb. Done as all proud there. But...... Luca Toni? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜„. I did have a bit of a chuckle at that with the amount of times he gets a mention on here.
  17. Well done guys. Brilliant effort throughout.
  18. That's an insult to Kuqi. He would mop up in the Championship at the moment.
  19. Gueye is the new Shefki Kuqi. It's going to end in tears if we don't sign another striker. Too much pressure will be put on Ohashi as lone scorer and his confidence will crash. Reliant then on goals from midfield but we don't have anyone who can do that. No goal scorers, a defence always likely to give away a goal ... we are really scewed. We need the cavalry to come charging over the hill.
  20. Not to mention very popular around the dressing room. It's easy for us as fans to only worry about what happens on the pitch, but in him and Brittain in particular, we've lost both leaders and popular figures.
  21. Exactly, I agree that Brittain is the only top end player we've lost but it's the cumulative effect of losing so much championship experience in one go. It's a recipe for disaster. You need championship know how to win games in this league. Venky's will be very pleased with this window so far. Wage bill reduced, on course to make a profit in transfer fees, and the average age of the squad lowered so potential future assets to sell. There literally is no other ambition at the club apart from those things. Does the club even try and pretend anymore that the ambition is to get back to the Premier League.
  22. Can't be arsed going in to the nitty gritty of every performer, but on the new lads and new first teamers; Tavares - Stood out and was our best player (not difficult). Mobile, strong, always wants the ball and keeps it moving well. Worth remembering that almost a year to the day John Buckley absolutely waltzed around Stockport, who funnily enough had just been promoted to L1. It's a long old season, and Tavares hasn't played many minutes through his career - already had one injury, so whilst promising, those more or less implying we don't need Travis anymore are getting ahead of themselves. De Neve - looks a really basic footballer to me. Missed a hell of a chance 5 mins before a well taken goal. Every pass is safe, ran down blind alleys on a number of occasions, and didn't stand out at all. Don't know what he brings apart from effort and some pace. Miller - Should be okay. I liked his profile when we signed him, obviously very committed and we scored from his long throw. Be a couple of months before we truly see whether his level is Championship, but looks okay. Axel - Crikey, thought he had his boot laces tied together for the first 15mins. It looks to me like when he has time to think, he makes a mess of it. His best attribute from what I could see was nice little first time passes round the corner. Not even close to the finished article, and could take a good while to get anywhere close to champ standard. Alebiosu - Bit of an enigma, no grace whatsoever and don't think he has much quality or guile. Pace will probably get him out of a lot of holes. Not sure on this one. Kargbo - Weird player. Pace, power and does scare defenders. But his decision making and execution of basic skills is a bit alarming. Montgomery - Dreadful. Not a right back in a million years. Got caught dawdling on the ball 3 or 4 times, sloppy passes, terrible first touches. He looked totally overwhelmed by the end of it. Knew he'd had a nightmare. If he's championship quality I can't see it yet. Michalski - I think we probably need an experienced number 2. Tyjon - I actually think he struggled a bit. Showed some glimpses, and Bradford got stuck in to him. Can't think of any chance(s) that he had, and he looks very slow indeed to me.
  23. Nothing was really going well. Just on the surface it looked that way. Eustace walked because he'd had enough. There was no building on our good start in the January window. Ismeal came in, underwhelming appointment to say the least. He undid all Eustace's good work but then we went on a good run when it was probably too late. We haven't invested adequately this summer. We have poisonous people higher up always trying to undo the good work managers do
  24. Again, a player's legend grows as soon as he's destined to leave. I don't want to lose Travis, because your captain walking out on you tells you that the club is fucked behind the scenes, but he's nothing special. PL clubs have never been interested. Ipswich wanted him as a bench player. JDT didn't rate him - it's only really Eustace that has got a consistent tune out of him.
  25. I'm convinced that Pasha's luck will finally run out this season. We've had a couple of decent managerial appointments combined with some wizardry by various iterations of our recruitment department that's meant we've over achieved in 2 of the last 3 seasons. The silly cunt thinks this means you can run a Championship club on peanuts and be successful. The only hope is that when we are eventually relegated the wretches sell, not holding my breath though.
  26. I agree it's a blow to lose him but it's really not a surprise. His leadership and championship know how will be missed more than anything. Tavares is very highly rated and far superior in terms of technical ability than Trav. Baradji too is very highly rated and has been watched by much bigger clubs. Both have high ceilings whereas Trav is and always will be a championship battler.
