  1. Past hour
  2. doubt we will see anyone coming in for a few weeks yet cant see them wanting to pay somebody just to be training.
  3. Not anymore as you don’t need anywhere near 40 points due to the promoted three increasingly being a mile off PL quality.
  4. Oh dear... The club should be doing promotional leaflets around Blackburn and local areas - delivered by the Royal Mail promoting them. (Include sponsors in the mailing and that will cover the costs). I have seen a few clubs really push the season tickets like this with good returns. (I have fed this idea into the club a few times).
  5. Yes - one of best signings - good times!
  6. Yes - 22 league defeats, which in every other season of the PL would have seen them relegated.
  7. Not saying that, just basing the 11 of the players we currently have in the squad, plus Batth who they said they want to keep (not that I think we will at this stage)
  8. Did he promise to have the lowest points per game ratio of any of the last 5 Spurs managers, despite being the 3rd highest net spenders in the league for the last 2 seasons? Or that they'd be a defensive shambles, conceding the 2nd highest amount of goals for any team outside the bottom 3? Ultimately, Spurs have been dismal in the league all season, his excuse of giving up on the league doesn't wash because they were poor from the off. It's just a weak excuse to cover his failings in the League. Most of the season Spurs fans have been calling for his head. If all he wants is to win trophies in tournament football, he'd probably be better suited to International management. He's a poor Premier League manager, obviously the Spurs board/chairman are looking at the bigger picture and not just focusing on the trophy win as a reason to keep him on again. Their Premier League campaign was embarrassing. Like Ten Hag at Utd, the Trophy win just papers over the cracks.
  9. We have been a team lacking pace and physicality since we got relegated from the premier league. I think bigger stronger and fitter teams are far better to watch.
  10. We sold 9,100 last summer, this time we were ‘over 8,000’ at the end of phase 1 and I doubt we’ve sold many since. I imagine we’ll probably have limped to 8 thousand and something by KO… another sterling effort all round, bonuses well earned 👏
  11. Whatever it looks like just send Brittain and Travis (presuming they are still here) to pose in front of John Lewis’ grave, job done.
  12. Christ, Matty- that involves some effort, they won't go for that!
  13. Anyone know how the season tickets are going compared to last year?
  14. Beck will be the toughest of acts to follow. This guys on a hiding to nothing if he signs on as a LB. He has no reputation as a defensive back and if it's left sided pace Gestedes after then what's the point when you have Kargbo in front of him. If it's a signing for cover then maybe given Picks injury record but then that's what Hedges is for isn't it, I can't say I'm anything like excited by this [rumoured, potential, possible, definite maybe] signing (assuming we get the registration papers submitted in time of course).
  15. Putting Barry Ferguson in his greatest Rovers side is certainly a choice!
  16. To be fair, it is a good way of helping the smaller local clubs - £2k (or whatever fee is agreed) soon adds up and helps their budget.
  17. Otis Redding - Open The Door
  18. Today
  19. But nobody dared to tell him!
  20. Not worth the football authorities having a look though! My favourite dream ends when they order Venkys to sell the Club. Then I wake up!
  21. This is the most damning article out there in my opinion, as it goes into quite a bit of detail, about where the funds went, what they were supposed to be used for and seems to imply that throwing money at loss making entities abroad, may well breach some rules. https://legal.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/litigation/ed-seizes-fresh-rs-24cr-assets-of-venkateshwara-hatcheries-in-fema-probe/104293586
  22. Maybe his club play we at the back 3 last season hence the wing back role? Surely we have 2 players competing for the same position especially in wide areas. Ismael spoke about Pace in profiling players he want in his team next season. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25113324.blackburn-boss-lays-transfer-priority-summer-window/ We not in pace in wide areas since Olsson and Hoilett days then Duff before that. Can't beat a good quality wide player which the last was Conway who was great crosser of a ball. 100k bargain signing under Bowyer.
  23. So many clubs are doing throw back shirts now, especially away ones incorporating old badges etc. So for something as momentous as the 150th anniversary of founder members of both the Football and Premier Leagues, surely, surely the forthcoming shirts will be commemorative, and I don’t mean just ‘1875’ on the collar or whatever.
  24. Before last season it looks like he played the majority of his games as a left sided midfielder. I imagine it will still be 4231 with this lad down the left and Kargbo on the right. Also gives the option of changing it up to a 343 with Dion as left wing back and Kargbo as a left sided forward maybe.
  25. I believe Macron are the ones responsible for the 150th anniversary shirt for Reading FC and that one was very popular with their fans. Macron definitely have it in them to do a good job of this, it just depends on what the club allows them to do.
