  1. Past hour
  2. Can you imagine if mafoumbi comes on for 5 mins and turns out to be a star. Wilsdenrover could have just changed a boys life.
  3. I doubt the Rovers even knew of the options, I hope someone informs them. You never know they might act.
  4. Should be a rule for all efl clubs to really encourage full turn outs and support clubs they should use the prize money to pay for stuff like this
  5. Under-21s don't need to be registered, so he can play in any league match at any point.
  6. Head Coach does piece in local paper confirming another Coach is leaving. COO and everyone else present from the Club at the Forum seemingly unaware of it Standard. Maybe VI has found out like everyone else before him that Lowe is the immovable object.
  7. Valerien Ismael on the future of Blackburn Rovers coach | Lancashire Telegraph
  8. Up vote/like Darwin Rover 007 comment above for a laughing reaction to be added Can we also have a sarcasm emoji?
  9. Today
  10. I went to the ticket office today with aching feet in the sunshine for tomorrow's game, CLOSED. Try again tomorrow.
  11. Just checked. Still seems to show him on the Internet as a Coach at Blackburn Rovers. How odd. Was it just a Nicko rumour that Jackson jumped on?
  12. Not sure where to post this but we definitely need a laughing emoji when we click on the like
  13. Here's the predicted lineup for Blackburn Rovers against Bradford City in the EFL Cup match ¹: - *Goalkeeper:* Toth - *Defenders:* - Right-back: Alebiosu - Centre-back: Hyam - Centre-back: McLoughlin - Left-back: Ribeiro - *Midfielders:* - Defensive midfielder: Travis - Central midfielder: Tronstad - Attacking midfielder: Henriksson - Winger: Kargbo - *Forwards:* - Striker: Ohashi - Striker: Hedges Surely a mix up, I got this probable line up for tomorrow's match online, it's got Hedges upfront.
  14. If Carlsberg did contract renewals........ It sure as hell wouldn't be that one! As things stand - we can't even get Ryan Hedges to sign a new deal. Chew on that!
  15. To be fair he is saying that they won't go unless we get a decent price for them etc. I think that's the only thing you can say the owners get right. Generally (Adam Wharton apart) we dont let players go on the cheap. RF 99 would probably say it's another failing.
  16. This is what I hate the most about the transfer window. We've dropped one point already because we've gone into the season with an incomplete squad and seem in no rush. Anyone arriving now will take weeks to get up to speed (see Henriksson), if they're even match fit. We'll rue these dropped points at the end of the season - as we always do.
  17. Yeah, it is staggering the lack of fight, determination or anything from those interviews. In the past we've expected decent players to leave -if- a very good offer has come in but we've had managers talking about the importance of those players, being keen to keep them, building around them etc. Not now, the white flag is flying over Brockhall. Come and get them. Here it is just shrug shoulders, we've made an offer, they aren't taking it so they either get sold now or leave for free. Worryingly he almost seems keen on the sale option under the impression that it will allow for reinvestment. Must have been the shortest ever contract negotiations with these players. As of March / April all 3 of Travis, Tronstad and Brittain were very clear that there had been zero discussions about it, with the club saying that it would only happen at the end of the season once budgets and league status were known, and now by the start of August negotiations have failed. So at best perhaps 12 weeks of a period during which the players were away on holiday. Impressive speed there. Or perhaps the negotiations have been all of a phone call to tell them we aren't offering them improved terms and probably not even what they are on at present, therefore not even worthy of being called an offer.

  20. Charlie Olson has moved on loan to League 2 Oldham Is there any way to pin the first post in the topic so that we can keep a list of current loans?
  21. If Ryan Hedges ends up being the first "significant" contract renewal in +2.5yrs...
  22. I agree and after all said and done, he only needs to reply ask Pasha and his number will be up, if he does decide to leave with a nice fat pay cheque an NDA his arm. He might want to go back to France, as he is missing the the Frogs legs and Escargot.
  23. Dear Mr Balaji Rao, Just a quick heartfelt note, to wish you and your family, all the best in these turbulent times. It isn't easy running a chicken business, but rest assured that all of us Rovers fans, are eating as much chicken as we can, not to mention eggs and other related products. We will continue to monitor your share price and your sector daily, but we can guarantee we are all 100% behind you and will ensure our baby is still alive and kicking as the years tick buy. Yours Mr A R Bot.
  24. And then have the sheer nerve to reinvest some of that in new players. Anybody would think there is a model to follow there. Unfortunately our illustrious owners seem to only understand the first part.
  25. They run Rovers via the VH group profits though that is clearly how it's done and must provide some handy accounting benefits back in India. It's 15 years now since they bought Rovers so allowing for inflation, expansion, borrowings and the cost base explosion of raw materials needed to run that business profits are bound to be hit. It doesn't matter what it or they are worth they don't use their personal wealth unfortunately it is imo all about the profit from the core company and this isn't defending them it's just the reality of how things are done. Would be interesting seeing if there is any real correlation between share price/profit of VH group and the money they've chucked into Rovers. I'm sure i recall share prices at historical highs when they were allowing the Armstrong's and Gallagher's to be bought but i may be wrong. They have seemed to like funding a mass loss making overseas entity for some reason until recently though.
