  1. Past hour
  2. I know they seemingly have lots of money but it's taken them 18 months to pass the EFL test, it's also unclear as to where any of their wealth comes from. Again, lots of dissolved companies and live companies with no obvious earnings. I can make guesses as to where the money comes from or their reasons for wanting to buy a business that you could argue was easy to hide/introduce money into, but neither of those guesses would I be willing to share on a public forum though if you catch my drift. The phrase frying pan and fire springs to mind
  3. WOW! Payment went through first time after the dozen+attempts to subscribe for the Spanish double.
  4. Looks like Boro have accepted a bid for Hackney - might mean they push for Brittain.
  5. End of the day the proof of the pudding will be ST sales (and attendances in general) across the division. My gut feel is the clubs have got away with it.
  6. To me I think it is, know of many (across EFL Clubs) who haven’t bothered this season because of many being moved on weekends, I don’t mind 12:30 Saturdays myself but quite a few do. Obviously everyone knows their situation before any fixtures are set in relation to midweek matches so you can’t use that as an argument but say a few had been Friday nights or Sunday noons instead of Saturdays then I would have been ruled out of attending - makes buying a season ticket even more of a risk, now at least till Jan I know what I can make (one benefit of the new tv deal). Clubs struggling to shift them should try and capitalise on this - not asking for pro rata price for 8 matches by the way (meaning £299 or even £439 split by 23 x 8 for Riverside for example) but try and encourage those who can only make Saturday matches. It’s easy to get out the habit of going, especially when you dislike the owners and have to travel a decent distance.
  7. No surprise to be honest if it's happens. Her role is what was CEO Job description was.
  8. Is it clear that it is kick off times that are actually putting folk off? By the time they go off sale in September we’ll be around last figures total. The main reason we will be down at all (couple of hundred probably) is more the debacle around March time as they went on sale (as roverblue alludes to), plus whacking them up 50 quid. We’ll see across the Championship this season if ST and match day ticket sales are actually down. Maybe they will be a bit, maybe they won’t at all. If not, the clubs have got away with their greed as the fans have just taken it and opened their collective wallets regardless.
  9. Today
  10. We agree that he's not a rare beast, that's why I don't agree that waiting until January is a good option because we definitely need someone in here and now. And the protest part was because you suggested this: "To see if this mystery injury holds up, that's if it actually exists...." I haven't seen Yverdon Sport comment on the injury but I feel fairly confident that they would make a statement if Rovers claims of a hairline fracture indeed were unsubstantiated.
  11. As seen by how events unfolded it required someone to buy them out of their contracts. Is there a club/country willing to pay money for VI? Hard to see Rudy or Pasha sanctioning a few experienced pros to keep the manager “happy” either way…
  12. When you are struggling for paying customers you should try anything. Especially right now with how clear it is kick off times are putting people off. Don’t think you are understanding my point at all, covers August, September, October, November and December - fair enough if you regard that as a “few weeks”.
  13. I’m amazed we sold this many given the clown show at Ewood. They are extremely fortunate Ismael picked up some results towards the end of the season as that roped a lot back in including myself.
  14. Package ticket deals never seem to work here in fact nothing does except proven initiatives like cheaper ST's ( not discount 20 quid for a few weeks) And selected cheaper odd match deals like Watford a few years ago. There's no point in even debating these things the only proof needed is look at the past, look a few miles up the road to Preston and Bolton. Did they ponce about like these lot or did they actually do something and pull back in thousands more regulars despite a slight hit to the income initially ? Why couldn't they do that at Rovers when they've guaranteed 40 million of sales recently !
  15. I’d be amazed if the Venky’s even know names of any players or any result week to week. They have shown no interest in Rovers for years now and their motivation remains a mystery.
  16. Even if we did hire a female CEO, that wouldn't detract from what they've done to the women's team in the slightest. In fact it would be even more embarrassing for her to defend it. "As a woman what do you think of the decision to....." etc etc
  17. Chuck Berry - Roll Over Beethoven
  18. Bill Haley and his Comets - Shake, Rattle and Roll
  19. With 8 home matches now confirmed for Saturday up to Xmas be interesting to see how many would buy a package for those for say £160 for all 8 (Riverside). I’d be tempted, can’t do evening or Sunday lunch kickoffs because of trains so never even consider a season ticket now.
  20. A Wednesday situation of not paying wages etc will never happen here. When push comes to shove they will always put the minimum amount in to keep things ticking over.
  21. Somewhere between the two… That says almost 18,000, I took the figure from the accounts which said (if I’d read properly!) exceeded 17,500. Both figures are of course far higher than the current regime could ever dream of (not that they care.)
  22. It's not just lack of cover thats the problem, the first choice options dont have many if any goals in them based on last season's performance.
  23. Not sure what was the original story was , but there are a few https://www.sportsboom.com/football/transfer-news-rumours/exclusive-manchester-citys-hot-prospect-max-alleyne-wanted-on-loan-by-sheffield-united-and-blackburn-rovers/ https://the72.co.uk/2025/07/29/blackburn-rovers-loan-deal-manchester-city-max-alleyne/ https://esteemedkompany.com/2025/07/29/two-manchester-city-defenders-appear-set-to-leave-the-club-this-summer/ TBH, makes sense to get a loan in for centre back, already have 4 (Hyam, Carter, Wharton, McLoughlin). Gives time to see how Atcheson, Litherland, O'Riordan do on a seasons loan, and reassess in the summer. And I am probably hoping for too much here, but means limited funds can be directed higher up the pitch
  24. You'd not have thought so if you'd seen it. His missus was with him with free hands.
  25. Right when attendances were booming as well. Still, don't want to let the fans have any say in how their clubs are run or make these decisions. Better off leaving that to billionaires who think of them as nothing but insignificant ants just waiting to be crushed at will.
