  2. Cash flow, how else they going to pay the leccy bill for June?
  3. Got a few theories as to how this kit release is going to go. Quite a lot of people are grateful for the early release, but I think this was part of the plan as they decided to pull their finger out to help get more sales. Get the home kit released early, gives more time to separate between that one and the away kit and the third kit. I am expecting the third one to be more of alt home shirt with a retro design. Could possibly wear it for the home match closest to the 5th November but if they get the home shirt sales in first, then released the retro shirt, they can get two or even three shirts sold for some fans. Thoughts anyone?

  5. I'm really not that hung up on having a different badge, for 34 years of my 40 we've had the current badge and the 6 years prior to that we had a Tudor Rose. Our quartered shirts are our badge in essence, some sort of heraldry or scroll would have been nice. As I've said, nice shirt in its own right I just think it's stuck being neither modern nor retro, design is a nod to the 60's but with no other retro elements
  6. Not bothered by his admission. Let's not think the club for one minute didn't want to cash in on him either and wouldn't want him injured... it's like the 'not available due to injury' line before a player sold. Always gave it on the pitch. That is what counts.
  7. And the one who goes shopping…that’s Rudy isn’t it? ”Did you get the new centre back, midfielder & striker that we desperately need dear..?” ”Even better than that…I got a candlabra, a new cordless drill & a meat pie…”
  8. Gestede will be dictating where the scouts are looking, and the majority of the links are foreign players, we need to be looking at domestic players aswell and I don't just mean loaning kids from prem academy's
  9. I was in the attic the other day and found an original copy of the bible. Which was nice🤣
  10. Posters wishing injury on a player - whatever that player is deemed to have done - is not acceptable in my view. As Szmodics refused to play then he should expect dog's abuse from some sections of the crowd - as their money was paying his wages then they have a right to feel cheated by him. But that should be as far as it goes.
  11. The area being deliberately and maliciously deprived for the last 40 odd years plays a part in those big games not selling too well also. Those games are massively overpriced. There's a lot of factors at play here, not just location and what division we're in. Our attendance at the league cup final was great and showed what great support the club has.
  12. Yesterday
  13. Totally agree that support is good relative to size of town and the large number of surrounding clubs (a fact supporters of the likes of Norwich and Leicester tend to ignore when criticising our support). However that does mean in absolute terms our support will always be limited compared to many other clubs. I remember the 92 play-off final and the Old Trafford FA cup semi-final as two occasions when we couldn't sell our allocation.
  14. I'm reminded of the character in the waistcoat in The Fast Show who always had impossibly fortunate stuff happening unexpectedly to him and ended up by saying : "Which was nice!"
  15. That's all Southgate managed at the last World Cup.
  16. The shirt itself would look nice enough if it was a normal year but it's an absolute disgrace that this is basically just a normal shirt and the anniversary hasnt been been noted on the front of the shirt somehow with the badge. How can they get something so simple so badly wrong? Par for the course with this regime unfortunately. I'm assuming that if an actual anniversary shirt is released at some point, the thinking is that they will try and rinse anyone who is daft enough to pay £50 or £60 for a top twice.
  17. By extension then, none of us are an expert on anything. Close the forum, there's nowt to discuss as we must trust whatever happens is true and fair.
  18. 'Willing' just like it was said Derby were 'willing' to go to 2 years. Yes it is all in the wording isn't it i'm glad you've finally grasped it.
  19. he`ll keep you in the division with 10/12 goals a season, proper honest championship centre forward, works his arris off as well
  20. Would he risk it with his playing style? If he stays then that's more down to the club than him imo, but you never know. Since we're seemingly a bit more desperate for cash these days, my guess is he leaves for an undisclosed fee (£2.5m).
  21. didn't realise you were such an expert on recruitment and whether someone is suitable for that role or not, good to know hope you taken a stand against buying a ST given your viewpoint on ST policies being piss poor and he talked a load of shit trying to justify it
  22. Are you fucking serious? Pathetic chaddy, even for you.
  23. As far as I am concerned the club and Nixon are just laying the groundwork for their excuses. I'm not interested in semantics of "have offered" "are willing to offer" "open to discussing" etc. Either they are signed or they are not, end of. Until club signs them I don't care what comes out in the press.
  24. Is Gestede doing the scouting or is people like Michael Cairney and Piotr Sadowski doing the actually scouting of players?
  25. Willing and having actually offered a deal, thats a big difference. The fact that we didnt offer him a new deal a year ago, never mind now is unacceptable. Same with the others.
