  1. Past hour
  2. You are naming clubs who briefly had owners unwilling to cover costs who were then replaced by ones that did. And even then, thats a minority of teams. Venkys havent shown their "financial clout." Covering the losses they have isnt as a result of them constantly pumping loads in, its the bare minimum.
  3. I think you can blame ref for not giving a clear push on Ohashi, or a clear elbow in Cantwells face. That isnt to take blame off Ismail.
  4. Give over. Without Toth it could have been 5. Ifvwe had even got the penalty we may have missed it (see Hull) and then wouldn’t have had another shot on target. We were never getting anything from that after 15 mins.
  5. It’s great having Billionaire Owners - but when they’re hampered by court cases of their own negligent makings & refuse to use their money when we have leeway on FFP to take progressive strides forward what is the point? Our squad is tinpot our pitch is tinpot our ground is grubby our manager is tinpot our board are tinpot where have these billionaires added value above the absolute minimum required?
  6. Would we have got a result?? Despite the extremely poor ref we didn’t muster a shot on target. Can’t blame the ref for that. Fact is Ismail needs to go, no clue, tactics are utter w**k and he can’t keep blaming the refs
  7. Fair enough, but if you think they are "dreadful operators", what's your objection to a call for a boycott for ONE GAME?
  8. A match thrown away - we were poor, but without yet more inept refereeing we may have got a result. It shows how poor the Championship is, that Ipswich could get automatic promotion - as they were no great shakes.
  9. I think Tony has had enough. Just posting on here, as I think he still goes to the games, probably somewhat reluctantly.
  10. Many clubs in this league have owners with less financial clout but do ok. Billionaire owners are the necessity in this division they are cracked up to be, it only makes a difference if money is used correctly by the right people. Less can be more.
  11. 90 minutes of misery.
  12. People with way too much influence and their own priorities.
  13. An unused sub but they got the third place at least. Imagine he’s loved the experience but we’ve definitely missed him a lot for him to play in just one game.
  14. It's going to be one spectacular own goal when our relegation is confirmed. Most fans called it from day 1 that selling our Championship experience and replacing them with dross from relegated second division Belgium clubs was always going to end in tears. The cherry on the cake when they shuffled Hyam out the back door in the last minute. That was confirmation for most that we'd be down at the bottom all season. Throw in a proven failure as a manager and the writing was on the wall. They've sleep walked straight into this with excuses after excuses, letting games pass by with all the talk about unavailable players, or how "the data shows" we're better than the results suggest. Dismissing the fans concerns and straight up insulting us by suggesting the squad is better now. They'll be many a Rovers fan saying "We told you so", when the curtain on our stay in the Championship is drawn to a close.
  15. The post Christmas slump started early this year. Is that one win in eleven now? There is no built up points buffer to save us this year.
  16. Many clubs have fallen by the wayside because their owners simply stop their financial obligations. Bolton. Wigan. Sheff Wed. Oldham. I'm sure there are other examples. If the Venky's left, I think the fan base would be united again, but it really depends on who the new owners are. If it happens, it happens, and we all go for the ride. But I would wager the next owners will have nowhere near the financial clout that the current owners have. 🤷‍♂️
  17. another long away trip to a ground where we generally don`t get anything will it be another 90 minutes of misery or will val inspire his troops to triumph in wales
  18. The thing is, the above is my opinion. I'm expecting a barrage of backlash, or some total nonsense from @RevidgeBlue that I'm not courteous. I don't get him at all. Or how he concludes that I'm happy. And it just reasserts my give-uppance that there are a number who turn a non-extreme view of the club, one way or the other, into something that it's not. And that's why it's pointless discussing it because my opinion ends up with some twisted reputation into something that it's not. Ah well. C'est la vie dans le internet!
  19. Why do basically every other set of owners who take over teams plug the financial gaps that owning a football club in this country cause?
  20. I turned it off at 2 nil. I never used to do that but it was all so fucking obvious, again. I keep going into games thinking it can't be as shit as last week, unfortunately it keeps on being as shit as last week. The boycott will certainly have gained traction today I would have thought. We aint got a cat in hells chance at Swansea on Tuesday either. It not just losing games that's making me mad, it's failing to do the fucking basics! Absolutely blows my mind how for the first goal there was no awareness from Cashin and presumably no shout from his keeper or team mates, or did he just ignore them? The second goal was horrific too, McLoughlin wasn't even watching the ball at all. No idea on the 3rd because as I say it went off at 2, I washed the cars instead, it was literally more enjoyable. The only potential solution to this mess (short term anyway) is to pot VI. He's clueless, the players appear to dislike him. Yes he has been dealt a shit hand but it's inexcusable the way we're playing. I hate to say it but this is Kean territory of shitness. Get him fucking gone.
  21. I asked you to point out exactly what you believe I'm happy with. Where have I said I'm happy with what is going on? My stance is that the Venky's are dreadful operators, but they are plugging the financial gaps (of their own making), and you would be hard-pressed to find other owners who would do more, let alone the same. Just my opinion. And you get into a... what was the phrase... hissy fit? Calm yourself down. It's just opinions.
  22. I also did this and im much happier for it
  23. Deck chair arranger on the Titanic was a job for life
  24. Swansea beating Birmingham now too which moves them 7 points clear of us and takes another relegation 'candidate' out of the immediate equation.
