I think if you are being criticised for your performance then youve got more of a justification to give a bit back. If you were criticised for a lack of effort and desire then you havent really got a leg to stand on.

Whatever we did or didn't spend how about we ask ourselves why, after spending 'so much', have we deteriorated so much? Eustace and JDT both had us competing in and around the play offs without spending much. Now after a 'big spend' as you seem to consider it we've dropped into a side that looks nailed on for best case a long struggle against relegation. Why? Maybe reported transfer fees is only a very small component of this particularly when selling proven quality for more and slashing wages into League One levels.

Kargbo looked like he was about to cry when he came off the pitch at the end. Also zero celebration when he scored. I know he took some stick for his howler in the week but it seemed a strange reaction.

Me neither. I just see him as complicit in the goings on with Gestede and Pasha and what is said behind closed doors and in public are the total opposite.

Nobody is ‘mixing up’ what you said. You used the words that it was our most ‘expensive’ window in years… it wasn’t. We bought in more than we spent which makes it the fucking opposite of expensive!! If I go for a night out and win £100 on a fruit machine in the first pub I go to and then spend £70, I’ve not had an ‘expensive’ night have I.

Another problem is how many will turn up for a 9 or 10 kick off friendly game. They should have payed a bit extra for top European team and get a big crowd some neutral fans on. But it's lets do everything on the cheap and loose more money.

I have felt since the off this will be an engineered relegation. Can't get rid of the feeling Venkies WANT that. At times we have played quite decent giving me hope, even prompted me to take the humble pie out the freezer only for Charlton and Swansea to.kick me in the nuts and back to doom and gloom. A little more luck, a ref or two that can actully see and things wiuld look a lot different. Thing is that is how luck goes for those going down.

I felt Duff didn't stick around long enough really leaving at 24, but going back and looking through the stats despite injuries managed 180 odd appearances which is more than Shearer. Quality wise he is obviously good enough to be up there. So yes - I could get behind that.

The only midweeks free this side of Christmas are w/c 27th October, w/c 1st December & w/c 15th December. Imagine the October one is too soon now so probably one of the latter.

It was odd considering he'd just scored a few at International level but lets be honest here we should have invested in a proper centre forward. It's fools errand again all this development bollocks because how much combined has Gueye, this lad and one or two others cost and combined their wages ? Probably the same or more than the initial fees on Szmodics or Armstrong or Dack for example. The best way to actually develop other players is having quality in the side who can carry it and provide a platform for others to develop under less pressure. A Rhodes, a Graham, a Sammy means the team keeps picking up points even if it's floundering in other areas. They don't seem to want that though they'd rather have 4 cheapies and keep rotating hoping something clicks and someone becomes worth more money. Which proven players with a bit of pedigree and investment do anyway !

Was just an observation his WC displays. Like said, Duff at times especially in 02-03 was genuinely world class. Not against Jansen being on there at all and his important goals shouldn't be overlooked, Damien Duff was just a level above Jansen for me but thats not criticising him at all.
