  1. Past hour
  2. Sums up our depressing situation. Gestede (and VI) would massively struggle to find their next roles when they do leave. Perhaps a (very) desperate low-level European club might take a punt on VI, but Gestede has no chance.
  3. There would be nothing really to stop the individual from just saying it. I understand there are trepidations about action. I don’t know the details of what was said to trigger it but it would have to be serious for me to be worried It is a bully boy attitude. He probably wouldn’t like it being put back on him - best way to do that is to out him
  4. I feel like we would have had another point or two if we hadn't dropped him unceremoniously. But just a hunch.
  5. What if they never put the club up for sale and just do what they’ve done previously and cut more and more costs on the basis of low turnover? I guess I like that idea from the podcast because the club, like most things, is already for sale “at a price”. Mark described a more of a public plan / organised sort of protest which would be more than a slightly more busy Ewood on EFL highlights @StHelensRover There is no rationale argument against the idea that low turnover can turn off potential investors and vice versa. It’s also inherently far more positive of a protest. Would make it feel less like I’m crossing a picket line on Saturday as I have a season ticket.
  6. If it is the case that Rudy has threatened legal action then it tells you all you need to know about the person. A scared individual with an inferiority complex. He won’t work in football again that’s for sure
  7. Pathetic "statement". They have NO idea how to run a successful football club!
  8. The words in the statement are insignificant. The fact they felt the need to even make a statement is telling.
  9. Player of the month, and then unceremoniously dropped
  10. Assume there will be a response to the club’s (pathetic) statement. It raises serious questions about the continued silence on key issues. The ongoing lack of respect for the fans, combined with the club’s arrogance and contempt, is simply not acceptable.
  11. "The club remains committed to work constructively with supporters and values their passion". That is absolute horse shit and should have been called out by Radio Lancs. They have been sent an open letter by multiple supporters groups and have ignored it, that is a fact. So they are clearly not committed to working with supporters at all, and Radio Lancs are a vessel peddling questionable statements.
  12. Quite...but it is a standard, defensive tactic to pick off individuals out of a protest group.
  13. Selles is in employment so highly unlikely I'd say. Who was the last manager we paid compensation for? Appleton? And even that was peanuts.
  14. How many more fans will it take to make up for the players Ismael says we can’t compete without?? 🤔
  15. Can't imagine the person in question would have any sort of case to defend. Why would RG be picking on this one particular individual? He certainly wouldn't be spoilt for choice!
  16. I guess the ticket sales for the Watford game are in the toilet. They're clearly rattled but at the same time trying to sow division in the fanbase. We lose and it's "Well, the boys didn't get the backing from the fans" Win and it's "The real fans were excellent and backed the lads through thick and thin" For most people, these words are totally meaningless but it will get the happy clappers chirping again.
  17. Kim Weston - It Should Have Been Me
  18. It's remarkable how Hughes seems to have lost so much of his 'touch'. In reality, done nothing remarkable since leaving Rovers (how he must rue the day) and some would say he has 'bombed' in a number of his jobs. Would take him over Ismael but feel he's very much yesterday's man.
  19. Today
  20. Very stressful for him...I assume he hasn't done anything criminal etc. Also, I think we could probably get together to raise funds to help him defend his case? We should expect them to target individuals like previous times. Anyway, I think the Gaslight Gobshite has got off very lightly.
  21. You reap what you sow and this has been coming for 15 years it isn't a knee jerk to a run of bad results. The size of the crowd will make no difference whatsoever to the result and the clowns in charge want as many as possible in there so they can spin it to their bosses as a storm in a tea cup...again.
  22. Not really a genuine statement though is it? Generic AI inspired waffle which roughly translates as: "We know there's a boycott planned for Saturday and we really couldn't give a **** but we have to pay lip service to it and say something" Bit naughty to hint there might be trouble or a nasty atmosphere. Ironically that might persuade a few more to stay away.
  23. Awful. I think we should find a way to get this out there without mentioning the poster's name. Actually, I have wondered about this, myself, as I have really been going for him on line.
