  3. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25570182.ismael-explains-absence-hot-blackburn-rovers-prospect/ Valerien Ismael believes Igor Tyjon 'isn't ready' for Blackburn Rovers' first team and needs longer to adapt to senior football. The 17-year-old was earmarked as a player who could make the step up from the Academy and contribute this season. However, his game time has been limited with his only start coming in the Carabao Cup. Championship minutes have not been forthcoming and the England youth international has only been on the bench twice, last in August against Hull City. With Ismael last week doubting the impact of Makhtar Gueye, supporters have naturally questioned whether Tyjon should be given an opportunity. However, the head coach feels the teenager isn't ready to make an impact in the first team. "He's a player who is still young, 17 years old," Ismael told BBC Radio Lancashire before the Southampton game. "He has a long way to go. He is not ready for what we expect which is normal. He needs more time and that's it. "He is focused on the national team with the World Cup which is very important for him. He is not ready for us right now, we have assessed him a lot. "The statistics show he needs more time. That's why he has a lot of games with the 21s which helps him to develop, he is only 17 years old." Tyjon remains under contract at Rovers until the end of the season after signing a two-year scholarship. He has been eligible for his first senior contract since March and whilst it's understood the club have offered one, it has yet to be signed. Ismael was also pressed further on his comments about Gueye, who was then an unused substitute against the Saints. The Rovers boss was not as damning in his assessment when quizzed on his view. "I think it's important that everyone who comes in, whether it's five minutes, 10 minutes, they are doing the same effort in the right direction," he explained. "He works hard and tries to do the things well. Some situations were unlucky for him but he keeps working and that is the main thing."

  5. Today
  6. I'd be ecstatic with a draw. Yes, we need the three, Can Gudjohnsen score again? One of two very difficult games this week.
  7. Thanks, I missed that one, amended my post from the weekend
  8. Yesterday
  9. Super caley thistle celtic are atrocious
  10. I'm hoping for John Barnes to return. His ineptitude inspired the best headline ever.
  11. Looks about 200 on the ticket site but you never know if some of those shaded out are all sold or not on sale. Hopefully it'll pick up later in the week. 5/600 is respectable enough for us but 3/400 ish is pathetic.
  12. Yes it does it's precisely the time the team needs support like many other sets of fans do. We are talking about the hardcore here and if they've give up we've nowt left.
  13. Thought Mori was quite poor against Southampton and missed a very presentable chance. If Cantwell is fit to play, he starts.
  14. Big shout dropping Tronstad. But it’s hard to argue with it on current form. I’d still start with him and bring Montgomery on if it doesn’t start well.
  15. Not quite! I certainly remember 1946-1950 and in fact have a cousin born in 1924, with a mind as clear as a bell, who could recall snippets of part 2
  16. Fans are as disengaged as ever after having the piss out of us by the owners and board, struggling, dinner time kick off on sky. Our fanbase doesnt deserve stick for a potentially lower than usual turn out away at Leicesrer.
  17. George Pratt was a 42nd minute substitute for Chorley after they were reduced to ten men.
  18. It's no wonder we get stick, if we were in 8th position there'd be a thousand plus there despite the time/price. We used to be good at supporting the team when we were shit but Gestede and co seem to have managed to ruin that now.
  19. Bizarrely, I'm not sure it's even his job to find the loans for the players. More just to look after them, whilst they are away.
  20. Literally just had a look myself looks a bit grim and was considering it and Bristol
  21. Well, I can’t find a single word to disagree with here.
  22. Our Loan Manager is really earning his coin, some cracking loans there(!)
