U18’s had a huge win over Coventry; give a few of the lads a start. The result would be the same, but it would be exciting to watch. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
MarkBRFC replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Out of interest, say the boycott happens this weekend, Rovers completely ignore it which they will, and there is a crowd on Ewood similar to the Oxford/Milwall games which were both really low but nothing out of the ordinary in recent times. Do we all (ST Holders) just trudge over to Ewood as normal next Saturday against Hull? -
Has been discussed and is something I suggested in September. My idea was boycott, pressure into owners saying club for sale, then reverse boycott to show new owners our potential. Only works if boycott successful and they say club for sale. Those in self imposed exile would only return for a match if the above was expressed publicly.

Rise together like the good old(ish) days -
I think me and my friends will end up going to the Darwen game this weekend instead. I live in between both so doesn't really bother me. My young lad is just getting into football and I got him a season ticket for rovers last year. It'd be a shame for him to miss out and for us to lose that Saturday afternoon together. If there is a viable alternative, like this Saturday at Darwen then I'll choose it. He's been to a charity game there before and it was far more entertaining than anything he has had to suffer at ewood this season.

🏴 Blackburn have an absolute gem in Valentin Joseph. 19 goal contributions in 18 games for the 17-year-old attacker this season. He’s quick, strong and sublimely technical. The way he holds up the ball as a striker with his back to goal is impressive. He uses his body really well and regularly turns his opponents with clever movement. One vs one when he’s facing the opponent’s goal he has really quick feet. He can bamboozle defenders easily with nice turns and deft touches. He’s a good finisher. Regularly gets into goal-scoring positions. Averages 3.77 shots per 90 for Blackburn at youth level and gets 54% of his shots on target. There’s still room for him to improve in this area. I think he could be even more prolific when he does. He is eligible to represent England and Germany at international level. He actually used to be at Liverpool’s academy before he joined Blackburn. His brother is Vincent Joseph, who still plays for Liverpool. One to watch 👀 -
Presume Joseph hasn't signed a professional deal and will off at the end of the season for minimal compo?

Boycott Or Not?

Every person counts. If is a tough decision but if nothing else you will be able to look yourself in the mirror and know you tried. We have to start somewhere. You are not letting anyone down, the Owners and Pasha have let you down and taken your loyalty for granted. -
Given our track record on rejecting keepers I am fully expecting Pears to surprise us all and get premier league games like Steele, Walton, Raya.

Who on earth based at Ewood is going to push for VI to be sacked? - Nobody. -

At a normal club there’d at least be rumours that the board were considering his position. At our club, not a peep… -
That replay is a nailed on 0-0 draw.

I think even those days are gone now. Only game I can see us winning for the foreseeable is that Sheffield Wednesday game in a couple of weeks.
-
I've been to every home game this season, I'm a season ticket holder, but I'm very tempted to join the boycott this Saturday. Its depressing what's happened to Blackburn Rovers this Season, a useless manager in the dugout, our team gone to rack and ruin, and owners who don't give a toss, about Blackburn Rovers.

I think everyone knows how this goes. A 2-0 Rovers win and the deluded half use the 'get behind the lads til the end of the season' rhetoric. We ALWAYS seem to pull it out the bag when there's a fan demo planned it seems. -
With Raya though, similar to Wharton you could see he had the mould of a top top professional player. At the moment in our squad nobody stands out like that, hence they aren't worth any money. Not discrediting any of our players as i'm sure under certain conditions they can perform. But how many can perform at the Ewood circus? Evidently not many. I got pelters for saying Ohashi is guff. Just because he presses does not mean he is a good player.

The January 2026 Transfer Window
Mercer replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Think virtually anyone would be an upgrade on Ismael. As for Mowbray and his mate Venus, personally wouldn't touch them with a sh1tty stick. How much did these two know about Waggot's plan to flog part of Brockhall and downsize our wonderful facility there? IMO, Mowbray is selfish and in it for what he can get and he is not the affable 'uncle' type character he likes to portray. Failed to save us from relegation, got us back up on by far and away League 1's biggest budget and then trod water for 4 years, allegedly turning down an offer from City to take Liam Delap on loan in a Jan. window when we had a great chance of play-offs. No thanks. -
Looking at the goals after 90th minute league table again: 22 West Brom 28 0 24 4 0:4 -4 24 23 Sheff Wed 27 0 23 4 0:4 -4 23 24 Blackburn 27 0 21 6 0:6 -6 21 3 teams there that have conceded 14 goals in total in that small period, and not scored a single one. Feels like bad luck when it happens, then I look at the 10 game form table: 22 West Brom 11 3 0 8 14:23 -9 9 23 Blackburn 10 1 5 4 8:14 -6 8 24 Sheff Wed 10 0 3 7 6:21 -15 3 Oh look, same 3 teams dropping like stones, hurtling towards the trap door. Not bad luck is it. It's just being rank bad at all facets of the game- ball retention, game management, set pieces, general defending etc.

Plenty deserve the siggy treatment that really shouldn’t be an issue The issue will be we all know who shouldn’t make the cut but because Rudy and his team have signed them they won’t get cut as itl be a blow to their egos hedges should miss out along with any of tavaraes de neve henriksson and one of/maybe both Pickering/ribiero -
A nice little earner, would be my guess.
-
To be fair, Raya used to get pelters on here as well

I feel very similar. I’ll be boycotting because I want to give my support when someone (the coalition) is trying to do something to express the despair of the fans at this regime. Do I think it will work? Probably not, but I will have made a stand..at least in my head..my season ticket means my money is already theirs and I doubt my empty seat will be much noticed but I will know I contributed. This has to be the start of something, not the end of something whatever the outcome of the boycott. Do I want to boycott long term? No. Like many, going to the Rovers means too much to me in ways other than watching football..living away from Blackburn it’s when I see friends I’ve had for years, I won’t abandon those friendships. So I hope the coalition will come up with other perhaps less contentious ways of protesting. Late entry, turning backs to the pitch, protests outside the ground, more banners. An orchestrated deluge of emails or letters to the club/Suhail/Venkys. Even a mass turn up..fill the ground, show what we could be as a fan base. Maybe it’s better to go for persistent, inventive protest that as many as possible of the even slightly disaffected feel able to join in with and builds momentum rather than persisting with the nuclear option that divides the fan base.

Tbf to Aynsely like 90% of footballers they thrive off confidence. I'd imagine all of us here wouldn't do good at our jobs if we constantly see negative things about us and our manager/employer talks behind your back etc. I'm not saying he is a world beater but he is a championship standard keeper. it won't help he constantly plays with a different defensive pairing as well. Would Friedel do as well as he did if he had a different defensive line most matches and had negative messages etc? Same for Raya.
