  1. Past hour
  2. To paraphrase a tv show about a nuclear melt down; not good, not terrible. Defensively looked fine - Atcheson, O'Riordan, Pratt all look decent against a Hull side doing well in the league. Cashin looked ok too, effectively a clean sheet over 120. Toth the best keeper at the club and it's not even close. Play without strikers, can't score a goal shocker. Henriksson isn't a forward, but a Henriksson Baradji midfield pairing looks more than serviceable. Can't help but feel that Baradji knows he won't be here next season one way or the other. Ohashi, for all his work rate, has really gone off the boil since we've lost Gudjonson - I'm not sure how well we can carry a striker who needs to play in a partnership when we are insistent on playing one up front. Our formation in general has become a problem for me. We switched to this three at the back because for whatever reason the formation we used last season wasn't working early doors, and it stuck because Alebiosu is very good and Hedges hit a run of form and that made it work well enough for a while. With Hedges out and particularly if Alebiosu gets sold we simply have to re-evaluate the formation, because not one of our other fullbacks suits it in the slightest, but Miller and Ribeiro are (relatively) fine further back. We narrowly missed the playoffs last year with a four at the back so I'm not sure why we are so allergic to it now, other than perhaps the lack of wingers. Poor game in general. Green shoots but not enough of them.
  3. I'm guessing they bought it in a fit of enthusiasm, chiefly by one of their number, have been regretting it for years and just hang on for the sake of pride.
  4. Let’s not fucking do that again
  5. Still no closer to knowing what our style of play or identity is. 12 months in and for large parts of most games we look as clueless as his first game against Norwich, where we contrived to make Shane Duffy look like beckenbaur.
  6. I had the great misfortune of attending today. Easily the worst match I've ever seen. Huge positives were the young defenders who looked top class up against experienced pros like Millar and McBurnie. Cashin was decent and Toth looked his usual calm self but didn't really have a great deal to do. Doherty did well and looks to have a bit of pace. Offensively we were clueless really. Could have played until midnight and not scored. Complete lack of any talent on the pitch was stark. Really depressing to see how far we have fallen. Baradji was a slight improvement when he came on but we still created nothing. Henriksson was really poor but did actually improve a little as the game went on. I thought the effort generally was really good but that almost makes it worse as I cannot see how they could do much more. They're just not good enough and we won't pay the wages needed to recruit the players we need.
  7. He's got himself a three year deal. The job's his for that time unless he decides he wants out. All he needs to do is reference Suhail and the owners by name in a press conference and it will all be over for him. The question is, will he take us down two divosions or just one?
  8. Looking forward to letting them know what I think of their transfer business on the 24th at home to Watford. I think the message will be clear.
  9. Sorry but VI has to go for me. He’s been dealt a dreadful hand with players available, but despite that you simply have to be getting shots on target in games as an absolute minimum! Hull were dreadful too despite being pretty much full strength. Defensively looked ok, Cashin looks decent. After that it’s hard to pick positives. What the actual fuck are they doing in training? Also what’s this set piece coach doing? After Preston away it was almost as it we had a new Arsenal like cheat code, today we had De Neve hitting corners for throw ins to hull. If you didn’t laugh you’d cry. How the hell is De Neve earning more than most people on here? Make it make fucking sense! I genuinely think I’d do a better job at 44.
  10. It's not hard to prove the point. The problem is that these people are thick. They are in denial about reality and no time or effort should be wasted on them. It may seem harsh but I'm not sure how else to describe someone who can't see what's happening right in front of their face for 15 years.
  11. We aren’t spending 2-3million on Bowie
  12. I'm far from Mowbray's biggest fan and have slated him on numerous occasions over the years, but I'm still struggling to comprehend why he would turn down / refuse to spend a transfer budget in January with the club sat second in the table, with his contract expiring in the summer. It makes no sense. No manager in world football would have done that in the position we were in at the time, especially when the likelihood is that it was going to be his last 'make or break' season with us. I'm well aware of what Waggott was telling people, which conveniently diverted blame and attention for transfer inertia and falling away from promotion away from him and the owners and onto Mowbray who they knew was probably leaving in the summer anyway. Nope, I'm not having it. Mowbray got 2-3 years of relative luxury under these owners (although I still am convinced that even then the 'big' buys of Gallagher, Diaz and Armstrong were all investment signings for the purposes of recovering their money with interest later rather than with a footballing target in mind) but then after that he was left out on a limb like the rest of them.
  13. Just watching Spanish Cup final between Real Madrid and Barcelona. They are playing a game with which I am not familiar. 🔥🔥
  14. Seen a poster mention that if Hibs do want Cadamarteri, we should go in for Kieron Bowie. Can't be on mega wages at Hibs
  15. Adults on the outside, toddlers on the inside.
  16. His goal stats are underwhelming and significantly worse than Leonard in both the Championship and L1
  17. Anybody who expects anything other than this is a complete moron.
  18. Less than Leonard and about 6 weeks too late.
  19. Today
  20. If his hands are being tied , he should walk like the 2 previous managers . We will see in early February!
  21. This is like a sickening flashback to the Kean days when he'd brag about the average age of the squad.... because we'd forced out all of the experienced pros.
  22. Ironically I don’t think we could sign Harry Leonard within our current budget.
