  2. Maybe you know this or maybe it's one for Glen ... is the transfer budget gross or net ie gross = you can spend Β£5M full stop, or net = your spend versus your sale proceeds cannot exceed -Β£5M. I'm having a dim confused day as one makes sense to me and the other doesn't.
  3. @4000Holes and @Herbie6590 πŸ‘€πŸ€£
  4. The manager accepting that, has me honestly thinking, I have no sympathy for him, despite his statement on Saturday that he is human and has feelings. What other manager and what other club, would accept players leaving and the money they bring, not being even partially used to replace them?
  5. I think we had spent the majority of the budget by then, but what do I know... Mafoumbi was presented a bit different than a U21 signing normally is, see below. So that they had aspirations for him to kick on is a pretty safe assessment, I would say. I agree with you though, and I'm positive Gestede and whoever else deals with this have learnt their lesson.
  6. Mercer had said the day before that he wasnt playing. So must have been a figment of your imagination.
  7. It's appears to have gone so quiet on the RW position it's untrue. Indeed the only real link we've had all summer was an out of date one to the Japanese lad. Even for this lot, not having any form of contingency plan for Dolan leaving seems negligent beyond belief. We must have known he was going for months and months.
  8. i was his debut V Ipswich in the full members cup Semi final. I think Β£30k is correct.
  9. I was sat in the riverside against Birmingham, hyam was one of our better players.
  10. How come Hyam got 8/10 in the LT ratings.
  11. Might deed poll my name to Fuckoff Venkys and see how far I get.
  12. Always thought Cirino looked a prospect
  13. No but I bet they’re itching to lower the wage bill and get rid of more experience and not invest the fee received!
  14. Fixed that for you. Matters not whether he leaves for money nor fair words. His leaving is a Travisty (pardon the pun).
  15. Do you think they are back peddling and negotiating another year?
  16. I might buy it, then sell it, then replace it with the hungry caterpillar and say I tried to buy a better one.
  17. That last bit is a total guess. Point being, for a club that had intentions of looking abroad, you surely save the slots purely for immediate first teamers.
  18. It's football. Easy to say this in hindsight but they probably thought he had more promise than what proved to be the case, and that he would be in and around the first team by the new year.
  19. It doesn't matter if they pay Β£50 million - it doesn't affect the money available for replacements.. VENKYS OUT!
  20. Today
  21. I quite like memorabilia like this but aside from a few words on the announcement there is no indication as to the content or contributors. Having anything to do with owners will go down like a lead balloon.
  22. We needed the right winger prior to the Travis situation so these two things should be independent of each other. That being said, I’m sure you’re right.
  23. 3 games gone, less than 2 weeks to go in the window and we still havent done anything to improve our attack that desperately needed improvements long ago. Guessing the Travis situation is a bottleneck before we can scramble in some nobody of a right winger and thatll be that, 4 or 5 senior bodies down. Exciting indeed.
  24. I think Colin first time round cost about 30 grand. Or it might have been 45, bit difficult remembering now.
