  1. Past hour
  2. Spot on regarding the timing. But without a name hardly qualifies as a big scoop.
  3. I hope for the best but fear the worst ! If the worst happens, I hope Ismael is finding his own way home !
  4. I’m sceptical with a lot of the rumours and ‘itk’s but he was pretty spot on with this one Previous track record does enable scepticism but sometimes ya call it as ya see it and he got this one right
  5. I’m interested as to why folk keep putting British players in their line-ups. I appreciate even the OP put a Welsh player in there, but I took the migrant bit quite seriously!
  6. Hopefully we will not have anymore last minute issues with this transfer window. I read that Rovers have ditched the fax machine and have invested in AI on their computers. Unfortunately, a human error meant they ordered the wrong Al
  7. Be playing against us in 3 weeks time so they'll certainly be out of it after that.
  8. But surely the players name/identity is quite important in getting a story/scoop. Not just me being pedantic.
  9. Today
  10. Tough when Shearer is a thing.
  11. Lightened up a bit now. I think it is best I remain in the pub until I am sure it has passed mind 🥳 Noticed that the Jack Swan fanzine is free and they had piles left at the railway station when I arrived. A nice surprise!
  12. I had forgotten the transfer window is still open. I guess it is like an open window for throwing ourselves out of...
  13. Interesting that nobody has put Wharton in theirs, so far.
  14. Obviously, I just go into every game now with zero confidence. Not out of the realms of possibility that Charlton (vs Derby) and Oxford (vs QPR) get homes wins tonight and Norwich are away to WBA. Could be a very dark day indeed for Rovers.
  15. Guilty, Your Honour!
  16. In bet their arses went 🙂 On a serious note just like the outside world in general this United Nations approach is fraught with all sorts of issues on and off the pitch. Relocating a few at a time and integrating them into the club/country/area and getting them used to the football etc fair enough, especially when you have that British philosophy to ease them into. Throwing together half a dozen or more at once and trying to blend them in with raw kids and your British core has gone, asking for trouble and here we are.
  17. You're being pedantic now. He said he didnt have a name but "a forward" was coming in and he did. Whilst Jackson and other sources were talking about that other lad from Toulouse which turned out to be complete nonsense.
  18. Technical Director suggests he's the one who implements the football style throughout the club and focuses maybe on working with DJ and the coaching staff on improving individual players via their data. Might be wrong of course but what else would he be doing and Gestede saying AO 'assesses everybody including VI doesn't mean a great deal at Rovers because he'll report to Gestede and Suhail. So Rudy is slyly passing the buck there the Tech director won't be able to hire or fire or sign or sell anybody he just gives his reports and opinions to those above him.
  19. Its not sniping, I literally asked for some detail as to who he was referring to. He didnt get Jorgensen before anyone else. He never once specfied his name.
  20. The Berg/Pedersen Vs Emerton/Neil seems to be the prevailing dilemma
  21. He's related to my partner. Second cousin I think. Comes from up Carlisle way.
  22. Trouble is football is now an industry worth billions so everyone is looking to get that extra few % out of the teams. Maybe hiring a specialist defensive coach seems like a pointless non-job waste of time but it could be one of those fine margins that make a real difference. The cost relative to the potential reward is decent. There are clubs were these modern structures work and work well. Then you get clubs trying to copy it...badly. Like us. People employed in roles with fancy titles but all the power is concentrated in one person.
  23. Just had a look who the ref is for tonight. Scheduled to be Anthony Backhouse. Refereed us twice before this season. 3-0 loss to Charlton & 2-1 loss to Bradford. Third time lucky?
  24. Yet despite that we have only spent 3 match days in the bottom 3 all season, and haven't been in there for the past 3 months. We have also only lost 4 of our last 12. Lets see what happens. Apart from Sheffield Wednesday, absolutely nothing is cut and dry in this league, and it would be pretty foolish to suggest otherwise. 2 years ago this whole board was convinced we would go down as the season went on, yet we ever entered the bottom 3 once. Should we end up in the bottom 3 by tomorrow night, then I might be ready to concede that its a more probable chance that we do as when/if we do drop in I just don't know if we have the players to scrap themselves out of it.
