  1. Past hour
  2. Just noticed that the game is live on Skysports Arena? Didn't think 3pm kick off's were allowed to be broadcast?
  3. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/08/150-years-of-blackburn-rovers--built-by-skill--driven-by-spirit/ "As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we’re not just looking back,we're building for the future." So proud of our History and Success,THE most successful Town Club in England but also so sad at what Venkys have done to us.How they have the nerve to come out with the above is truly galling.
  4. ' He came in when Jerome Anderson was half pushed out.' Is the other half still here ?
  5. Mooted, you don’t want the plane you’re on to be muted😁
  6. I think the suhail/venkys out fund may be needed at some point. Planes mooted, full scale campaigns, think we may need to club together , as funds becoming a slight concern and it cant keep coming out of the pockets of those pushing everything. How we do it, and who'd manage that element I don't know. Just know my wife wont sanction thousands out our bank again
  7. With Cantwell out Gueye may start with Ohashi taking Cantwell's position. We really need to sign a striker and improve the squad overall. Don't think Henriksson will start since he just arrived. Really hope Henriksson can avoid injuries because his injury record is definitely concerning. Think he will be a good signing if he can.
  8. Lots of publicity videos appearing. We got a new Film Studies grad in?
  9. Quite a few players who need loans / should be nowhere near a Championship squad (Batty, M-M) have got squad numbers. Duru seems to have really fallen out of favour. Pretty much gone from "next man up" to us playing a CM over him and buying two new RBs.
  10. On the same day the supporters group have once again called for the Rao family to hand ownership of the club to another party. Couldn't make it up.
  11. Surely on his way out on loan? Which is best for his development rather than him sat on the bench/i the U21s
  12. Think there are plenty of us who could write the next chapter but frankly, an ending and new book might be better...
  13. Under normal owners that would be lovely. Under this lot it's taking the piss.
  14. To mark the start of our 150th season, we’ve created a special film, voiced by Alan Shearer that captures who we are and what we stand for. It’s a celebration of our town, our heritage, and our future....We’re proud to have you with us. Let’s write the next chapter together.
  15. JDT is a clever bloke and he quickly worked out the unorthodox and bonkers way this club actually works behind the scenes is a far cry from the 'normality' that you might expect when arriving or looking at it from the outside. From the outside looking in - billionaire owners delegating responsibility to a board of directors, '£20 million a year' going in, huge losses over the last 15 years, talk a good game about wanting success. This is pretty much all that many fans, media and third parties see. It's only those with experience of it or us fans who spend our time looking into things in more detail who see the reality of it. It quickly becomes apparent that the club is just a total joke, Initially JDT was happy to put the pressure on Broughton as he probably misunderstood the situation and thought that the Director of Football was actually in control of the football side of the club. After a while he realised that Broughton was the latest in a long line of people led up the garden path and so he first turned the focus onto Waggott, which you would as he was the highest ranking individual at the Club, and then eventually the spotlight was turned onto the Venky stooge. He was gone within days of doing that.
  16. 3 o'clock special is a ST ad.. This lot are funny
  17. Great statement, well done to everyone involved. Unity is key.
  18. Must have twisted his hairband. Good to see he's carrying on from where he left off last season. Or maybe just maybe Vi's seen enough? I certainly wouldn't blame him.
  19. The club might think that. But I am giving my opinion on what I think we need. Obviously I will have no choice but to accept whatever happens. Leonard hasnt been in the first team pre season squad so if we dont sign a striker, I dont think its down to any faith in him. Nor do I think its Tyjon related as he has been used in a different position. I think if we dont sign a striker, its most likely a case of us having to work within a budget and not deeming another striker as important as other positions. I dont suspect that everything that happens this summer is exactly what Ismael has asked for, I imagine that most managers end a transfer window wishing that they had one or two more than they actually get. Obviously not suggesting him as we couldnt afford him. But someone of the style of Adam Armstrong would be ideal. Quick, naturally a central player but can also be used wide.
  20. Rejected bids close to 5mill - way out of our budget
  21. If we had any budget at all for a striker, I'd of liked Richard Kone, plenty in for him though and it seems not to be a priority position at present. RW is vital.
  22. Regardless of people’s opinions and preferences it certainly seems going by all interviews that the right wing position will be the last in the attacking sense - and it’s criminal it hasn’t been addressed before tomorrow cantwell already missing game one
  23. In honesty, if I was offered a striker who was better than both Ohashi and Gueye, on a permenant deal then I’d absolutely snap your hand off. But there’s been absolute no suggestion that is is in any agenda.
  24. Yes, and as reasonable as your rationale sounds in your head, it’s important to accept that VI / the club may see it differently. Based on what you’re saying and what the club are saying, I sit somewhere in the middle in that I would probably go with what we have in terms of strikers, but I would definitely get a couple of young forwards who could play across that attacking midfield 3. Thinking Harvey Elliot-esq!
