  1. Past hour
  2. I watched a good game last night. Bayern beat Boca Juniors 2-1. It was end to end stuff with Bayern wining it late thanks to a nice Olise finish. Kane scored first for Bayern. Boca's equaliser was a really good goal. The game was a full house in Miami. Boca fans never stopped signing and chanting.
  3. Definitely cousins let's hope he plays as well as Nani
  4. No I think you're right, speaks better Englandish than me
  5. And Wharton shouldn’t be any more than a squad player either.
  6. Both players look over the moon to join, hopefully that's not in disbelief
  7. If anyone who’s a Rovers fan has a season ticket at Stanley, they can still get in the bin for me.
  8. 4 wickets in this session, should have been 5 with a drop by the wicket keeper. Very good session of cricket, Pant celebration for his 100 was superb. England will be delighted if they keep India under 500, but with the clouds rolling in, it’s going to be tough chasing anything against this Indian bowling attack.
  9. Today
  10. Might be wrong but he's pretty much grown in entirely in England
  11. These aquaintances of yours who you say 'support' both Rovers and Stanley. What would they do if say Rovers played Stanley in a cup tie? 'Support' both teams? Wear half-and-half scarves? Hope for a draw?
  12. A little overlooked factor on Tavares is that he should settle in comfortably hopefully courtesy of Ribiero (both portuguese) and create a bit of a bond going forward
  13. Who’s going to post the traditional β€œI’ve heard our opening day fixture is…..” on Wednesday?mNone of those rumours have ever been right in 25 years of internet messageboards.
  14. Aye OK 🀣🀣🀣
  15. Absolutely not the same thing. They are two separate statements. In my opinion one is true and one is potentially false.
  16. Van Halen - Why Can’t This Be Love
  17. Made this point several weeks ago that we only had 2 fit centre backs. So probably need 2 centre backs in not one if Batth doesn't re-sign here Most teams scout from Video using Wyscout to find players nowhere days cos you don't need at the game, travel arrangements and other costs involved now watch videos at home or at Brockhall. https://www.hudl.com/en_gb/products/wyscout Exactly. Gestede said we wanted a box to box player and he says he is I watched JRC come through from under 21 to the first team and he was attacking wide player. In the right team I would play him from the right side of the attack with an overlapping player
  18. Somebody needed to. There were times last season when we had 7 ( six outfield players plus the keeper ) that never got into the last third of the pitch. That leaves 4 players to make and score goals. A big ask, especially with the level of players we have.
  19. You're talking numbers there--I'm worried about quality. Doesn't matter how any players we sign if they aren't as good as the ones we are selling/giving away.
  20. What are you basing your opinion on I’d ask? YouTube highlights? and do you think those players listed we lose them all before Xmas - highly unlikely
  21. It feels comparatively proactive to have 2 signings in at this point but considering Ismael wanted most business done by pre season, we are still well off. At right back, we need to sort 2 things out. At least one signing, and a conclusion to the Brittain deal, in which case potentially a replacement. At centre back, we still need 2. In central midfield, we need to sort out 2 contracts or replace. We need an attacking midfielder and a right winger, and we need another forward. So 6 signings, or maybe up to 9 if players leave. Goalkeeper, left back and left wing are the positions we have sorted and even then there are questions. Also a bit of trimming with Buckley and JRC becoming surplus to requirements. The inability to even offer contracts never mind sort them either way before this summer is a real issue.
  22. Nice attempted deflection but we are talking about two EFL clubs.
  23. Batty getting 1st team football is what he should be doing at his age.
  24. No he isn't but he won't be playing CM or in any attacking roles. So RB is the only place left for him.
  25. Same thing just nic picking from yourself Plenty of people do whether its one English and one overseas team
  26. Except in his interview when asked what kind of midfield player he was, he described himself as a box to box player. So who do we believe ? Tough one that
  27. I think its fair to have question marks over both, based on what we can ascertain. Tavares has very little senior experience and struggled to maintain a place in a mid table Portugese league team. He made 15 league starts, completed only 2 full games and theyve sold him a year after joining. We need attacking players who can help us to score more goals, on the face of it, De Neve doesnt have a track record that suggests he can help to rectify that. A versatile left sided player who was often played at full back, and has minimal goals or assists. Belgian journalists seem a bit surprised that a Championship side has come in for him. He has more senior experience than Tavares but doesnt seem to have pulled up any trees. Equally, to say they "are not good enough" seems totally unfounded and unfair. They are both quite young, and it may depend on what role they are expected to play. Seems a huge step up based on what they have done before to expect them to be regular starters on paper. We need to either keep hold of our key core of players or directly replace any departures.
