The January 2026 Transfer Window
RevidgeBlue replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Lol. Go on I'll bite. It's widely reported that Brighton are picking up most if not all his wages in return for guaranteed game time. Were he not to get that game time it's reasonable to assume we'd have to pay more towards his wages. Whether you term it as a "penalty clause" or a gentleman's agreement. -

Jay from the Inbetweeners would be a better option as I’m pretty sure he’s completed the Championship, football has moved on a lot since Warnock was a decent manger -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

The removal of VI doesn't solve all problems, far from it, but his coaching is poor. The missing players, and quality of them relative to our squad, would impact any side. That is unquestionable. However when you are struggling to win, simple logic is make yourselves hard to beat. There's been no sign of that at all under him. Mind you it didn't help selling your most consistent and best centre back and replacing him with a midfielder or right wing back who you want to convert to a cb. -

Yes but absolutely pointless. They would never pay his price and in any case Neil Warnock would not come to a club run by fools. -

1 point. Norwich has won at Wrexham. We're not in a good place, and it's infuriating that people can't see that we're in the canal without a paddle -

I would do but I’ll be putting my ST aside and making a bigger point by staying away for one game. It isn’t a lot to ask, no guarantee of it doing anything but I need to feel like I have done something rather than just sitting there for another 90 minutes in the Ewood morgue, while Pasha fiddles and Blackburn Rovers burns ! -

I can’t believe that people think the removal of Ismael is the answer.. there will be no answer until this regime is gone. If some still cannot see the need for the boycott now…they never will. This is how the club will “ function “ from now on in…without soul , hope ,care , dignity or respect . -

Own goal aside I don’t think Cashin had a dreadful game he won some fair decent tackles attack again was absolutely woeful, Cantwell looked way off it today, Henriksson, as always dreadful, Ohashi runs a lot, great might as well have Mo Farah up front end of tactics just are not working! Manger change needed -

Ismael is absolutely shite at his job. Problem is, so are the people choosing his successor. This is a really bold statement and not one I ever wanted to have to make about the club I love, but: I have absolutely no confidence in the competence of anyone in a senior role for Blackburn Rovers Football Club and Athletic PLC. Could probably extend that to people in positions below those senior ones too. Not a shred of competence knocking about. -

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Eddie replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
He's part of one of our problems. Our biggest problem is the owners and the incompetence of our senior leadership. Until that problem is solved, we have no chance of being a properly run football club. However, we now have a second problem, which is a lack of quality in our manager and our playing squad. Both of those have been caused by problem number one, but we saw under Eustace and JDT that a good manager can reduce the impact of the bad ownership and senior management. Any good manager will eventually leave, but we don't have to be totally resigned to the fact that we will have awful managers until our owners change. Ismael is an awful manager. The tactics he sets us up with never work. Our players don't seem to be on the same page. He also never makes substitutions or changes during a match that positively impact the outcome. In fact, most matches he just stands on the touchline and watches matches drift by. He shouldn't get a pass just because our owners and various 'heads of' are sinking the ship. He is watching the ship go down, and, instead of throwing lifevests into the water, he is standing at the helm steering us directly towards an iceberg. -

Listening to his interview he has basically just written off this month due to injuries and doesn’t seem assed about results or performances till players come back.
