  1. Past hour
  2. Maybe not after last nights display 😉 But it would make sense, Preece spoke after Pratt was recalled of a growing relationship between Chorley & Rovers, and Barr has obvious connections
  3. Reading snippets on line apparently this is a record quarterly loss in the firms history. The Indian financial press are unconvinced about their management ability to turn things round citing reduced profitability and increasing costs. They highlight the next quarter results as a clear indicator of the firms direction. There is definitely trouble at t mill. Judging by how our club has been run it would be no surprise to see losses continue.
  4. Pickering on 15k a week would surprise me. Signed from Crewe on a relative low wage I'm guessing and only had one new contract since.
  5. They clearly don't want the scrutiny over why they are sending the money over to the UK, you can only imagine its because in the past its not all actually come to Rovers.
  6. Interestingly Billy Barr was at last night's game along with the Chorley manager Andy Preece. Expect some loan deals going though soon.
  7. There were clear parallels in that respect but the first half past night was probably the worst I have ever seen the under 21's play.
  8. There's women down at the church hall that can knock out about 100 brews in polystyrene cups in around 15 minutes lol and it's stirred!
  9. Former U23 coach Billy Barr is now the manager at Workington Reds, & has brought in former Rovers U21 Tyler Magloire to join him in the 7th tier. Without checking, I think they would know each other from their time at Rovers, and wonder if we may see a reunion of some other former U21/U23 players at Workington?
  10. You'd think so wouldn't you? Not at Ewood though!
  11. Sounds familiar to a couple of days prior.
  12. Today
  13. After two excellent wins the young Rovers team came back to earth with a thundering crash. 3-0 down after ten minutes with Khan having an absolute Joe Cocker. He was responsible for all three although the defending didn't help. Derby got a fourth and at half time nobody could argue with the scoreline. We were comprehensively outplayed in every area of the pitch. We didn't get near to the intensity and pace of Derby and Vignal must have been worried that his first game would end in a humiliating defeat. Rovers were much better in the second half but I believe it was also a case of Derby taking it easier. Our goal was scored by Lewis Bell who I believe was making his under 21 debut. I don't think anyone came out with any credit last night. The first half must have been an eye opener for Vignal who surprisingly didn't make any changes at half time. I know I'm repeating myself here but last night would have been perfect for Carter to get an hours fitness work in. The pace and intensity with which Derby played would have been really good for his rehab. Instead he will probably play in a sedate BCD match.
  14. Surely tea or coffee is probably the quickest out of all liquid refreshments lol tea bag, cup hot water, bang pass it on
  15. I also feel as though they've reverted to that model, just a division below. Will no doubt have the same outcome as before. Crowbarred out the previous first team management to replace them with cheap nobodies who will just do as they're told. Offload all the previous squad to replace them with cheap nobodies from overseas. Any players on a half decent wage still remaining are frozen out.
  16. Gene Vincent & His Blue Caps - Blue Jean Baby
  17. Yesterday
  18. Ordinarily this would be a very valid response, as we sure are a shambles, but we have already demonstrated what our approach to these players is. It would be weird even for us if we were to do that with all the others, then just with Pickering for some reason we choose to devalue the product instead. I'm pretty sure he is out of favour with the manager, whether it's for his playing style/ability or something sort of falling out.
  19. Anyone remember when we used to have that machine behind the bar that did about a dozen pints at a time? Think big! But yeah, totally agree, someone's job should be just to pour pints. Also, why does it take so long for a tea or coffee? Bring back the good old fashioned tea urn!
  20. No doubt that's one of the biggest obstacles in them being able to do whatever the fuck it is they've been doing for the last 15 years.
  21. Kilgallon would walk into this defence which kind of says a lot and how we haven't moved on a jot since he was here.
  22. Ehh, I guess we'll see in January, but going back to the weird contradictions in the original loan press releases, I've long assumed Duru's already a permanent outgoing. San Diego's was top of MLS this season and battling in the playoffs now, so always thought it was a bit of an odd team for Duru to try to break into mid-season. So, they may have seen it as a future signing themselves. Saw a couple reddit posts assuming they'll make Duru a permanent signing, but no real indication otherwise... For those interested in that sorta thing, MLS recently updated their published salaries (https://mlsplayers.org/resources/salary-guide) and Duru has a base salary of $80,622 and $98,234 guaranteed. Presuming San Diego's covering all his salary, that translates to about £1.2k/wk base or £1.4k/wk guaranteed.
  23. Reading that there was non-flushing toilets in the BBE upper comes as no surprise. My daughter reckons that it was the same in one of the ladies toilets in the JWU for the majority of last season. The place is going to wrack and ruin, but they simply don't care.
  24. Not a lot of positives to getting older, but the fact I can remember a time with players of a slightly higher pedigree than Matt Kilgallon and Gordon Greer is one of them.
  25. "My client asks me to tell you..." In plain sight! Get them OUT...
  26. You’d have thought that but this is the Venkys we’re talking about.
  27. I always thought Kilgalon was a sound enough defender but legend he ain't and there was definitely a hint of Gestede turning out his mates in that game. For balance though i suppose they wanted a few in from more recent times for the younger audience who can't remember past the last decade.
