  1. Past hour
  2. So is this newly linked Japanese lad Ryõya decent, or is it just Mor(e) shita that we've been linked to?
  3. Month end, they need to shift some money about
  4. Derby have Vickers and Zettesrom, don’t think they need a keeper
  5. This seems to be the consensus about Leonard but I really don’t understand it. Yes, he has been injury prone but always highly thought of and talked up as a real goal scorer, why would they be looking to force such an academy product out, before his potential and future value is really known ? Buckley is no surprise, on good money and just doesn’t look interested when he gets on the pitch and is pale imitation of the player that he was expected to be.
  6. I've quite a few United mates, I'm on about the real fans who travel up and down the country. Not the 'fans' who buy a United top and sit in the local with it on. I don't mind United at all. Obviously we had some minor rivalry midd to late 90's but that's long gone. Liverpool however, christ I can't think of anything remotely likeable about them, self pittying gobshites.
  7. I thought selling players wouldn't help our transfer fund. What changed?
  8. But we rarely get it. Dolan deserved more than he got.
  9. My interpretation of that statement was that there's a set budget and plans for x incomings and x outgoings. Any 'surprise' additional exits on top of that will need to be replaced, so that's like for like (or less), and that's a seperate budget generated by the mentioned sales. I doubt we will sell Hyam unless we have someone lined up. Same for Tronstad and Hedges but their market value are lower (because of their age) and will cost us less to keep until next summer.
  10. Hiring Selles was a baffling decision.
  11. Brittain money wasn’t spent either. I wonder if (despite the inclination to the contrary) that they have decided that some of the money bought in can be spent. I know it was previously said that this wasn’t the case but it doesn’t really make sense.
  12. We were always supposed to be getting a right winger anyway. Anything beyond that is just speculation at this stage. But sales of Brittain, Travis and Buckley will cover the purchases. As much as they claim it makes no difference.
  13. Nothing. The transfer window is still open and the playing squad won't be finalised until it's closed.
  14. To be fair, I dont think anyone expected him to do well in La Liga. Its more that some were trying to suggest that he had ideas beyond his station and should have accepted our poor offer, especially as he didnt accept something straight away.
  15. I've seen enough of Dolan to know that in the long run it won't work out for him in La Liga. I don't even need to monitor it. He got a free transfer move to a nearly relegated La Liga side. They look absolutely desperate and have put together a side of almost entirely free transfers and loans again this year. After spending nothing the year before. I'm thankful we don't have to watch him running down blind alleys, hitting tame "shots", weak crosses and taking on no one in the Championship anymore..... Amar'i Bell and Cauley Woodrow made Premier League appearances. Move on. We needed better. Him leaving should absolutely benefit our attack if we spend a bit of money.
  16. He will play well on his first start, his problem will be doing it on a regular basis, same as it was here.
  17. I get that he is a bit of a cock. But did Martin do something or say something about/ahead of a game against us? Seems to have a very specific dislike on here!
  18. Travis fee, Buckley fee, Leonard maybe 200k or something? Plus wages. Their replacements will be on wages sub 10k a week...
  19. I thought he was just ok at Rovers so no confirmation bias. I always thought he’d get a better move than being here by letting his contract run out, but surprised he ended up at somewhere like Espanyol. But in two appearances he has looked good for them. Just look on twitter. These are just a handful of examples.
  20. More of our players are linked away too, @ruggles1995 so it's a double-edged sword. Hope we can get an announcement tomorrow for the Japanese lad.
  21. What's changed in Rovers transfer dealings? Suddenly have a bit of budget? I don't understand
  22. Good win Saturday with a good performance. I like the fact we are now linked with more than 1 player. We’re about 2/3 players of quality short to have a potential playoff sniffing squad I think. Can’t say I know anything about the players we are lined with. But the good sign is hopefully they want more than 1 more signing. Need the depth
  23. Today
  24. I think most of the frustration from Rovers fans were down to us believing that there was a player in there - he just never seemed to grow out of the unnecessary stepovers and pivots. Had he stuck to the basics and worked harder on things like crossing and finishing, he'd be much higher rated. However, hopefully a fresh start for him will help him kick on.
  25. Agree wholeheartedly on this. We will sign a couple of loans you would imagine, could see one being a keeper.
  26. Buckley has coasted through his time here and will continue coasting wherever he ends up once he's got the ink dry on a new contract. Looks like another of those just happy to play football for money and not bothered about anything else.
  27. The fact he's even at a club like that starting games in La Lige kind of suggests he was never as crap as his constant knockers on here like to make out. Frustrating yes, crap ..no.
