  1. Past hour
  2. Although, the way Pratt & Litherland have stepped up so far, will probably embolden them to try again to offload one of Pears or Toth whilst promoting Michalski instead of replacing them
  3. Pears has been exactly what he is, a capable enough stand in for a better keeper. We need to remember if it was up to the penny pinching powers that be he wouldn't be here now and we'd have had a raw kid in making the mistakes they all do when learning the trade.
  4. Little wonder that Gudjohnsen has picked up a muscle injury. We have run him into the ground. I think I would rather go with 10 than play Gueye. I certainly wouldnt play Henriksson up front, I would rather add an extra midfielder and play Miroshita higher up.
  5. Thank you and Seasons Greetings to all organisers and contributors on the site.
  6. I would start Toth as soon as possible. Pears lack of communication is a problem for me and we witness it a couple of times on Saturday
  7. I would rather play Henriksson over Gueye. He put himself, created Miller chance, press from the front.. Looking at Ismael's comments about some players didnt play cos of training performances. Would if that's why Gueye didnt play
  8. Maybe we saw the plan (if Gudjohnsen is unavailable) on Saturday. Henriksson replaced him, and I thought did well & made himself a nuisance, at the very least, he enabled us to carry on pressing from the front, and him being further forwards meant his lack of positional awareness was not exposed
  9. With a game Friday and Monday do you risk Gudjohnsen and potentially make the issue worse ? Judging by VI:s comments about attitude in training and who was absent from the squad on Saturday it's pretty obvious who he was talking about. Do you bring Gueye back in if Gudjohnsen's not fit or risk a youngster again ?

  11. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25714396.blackburn-rovers-boss-reveals-training-attitude-issue/ Rovers will need to check on Andri Gudjohnsen before the trip to Middlesbrough after he was taken off with a precautionary hamstring injury. The striker scored his seventh goal of the season in the first half but was substituted after an hour. After a heavy workload, Ismael revealed Gudjohnsen felt his hamstring and will be assessed. "We need to look after them," Ismael said. "Andri was not good with his feelings in his hamstring. We will see but we think it was just a precaution with that situation. "We will make an assessment and we hope it's just a precautionary situation." Rovers will travel with a similar group to the Riverside Stadium. Balazs Toth is back in training and could be part of a matchday squad over the Christmas period.
  12. We'd all be betting £100 that he would miss - just like Cantwell said on the Sky Sports show.
  13. All in all, I think Pears has done well since Toth got injured. We all feared that would be a major issue, but his performances, aside from a few decisions in the Portsmouth game, have meant we have coped a lot better in goal than we expected to. The question now is: have those performances given Val something to think about, or will Toth walk straight back into the team? I know what most fans think: as soon as Toth is fit, he starts. But what do you think Val will do?

  16. So much for free speech! Not allowed at Ewood. I suppose someone with money could challenge that but most haven't.
  17. They'd have sold it for housing if they could!
  18. He had a bag of ice in his hand at the final whistle on the Sky footage so there was definitely something up with him.
  19. deffo correct. You can't beat bringing through your own players from your academy who are Rovers fans
  20. Well what a shock Price is out of championship 3 nil Littler should be 1 down instead don't take your chances now he is instead 1 up
  21. Billy Joel - The Longest Time
  22. Two more Japanese fans near us holding their Ohashi shirts up yesterday, adding to the one against Wednesday. Nice to see Yuki obliged with a goal on both occasions.
  23. Claude Makelele arguably the best DM ever, not sure he was great at defending corners. Wharton shouldn’t be marking DCL, strange decision if it was pre-agreed
  24. City let him and Palmer slip through their fingers apparently.
  25. He’d have stopped the ball, got down on his knees, and headed the ball in.
