  1. Past hour
  2. player manager maybe Although I think that's another exaggerated one, he had Rovers in a football manager save once, hardly his fave football manager team. He has also managed Arsenal & Newcastle apparently
  3. They're all bookmarked as developed assets to sell - that was the entire point of the summer transfer window.
  4. To me the much more interesting football manager trivia is that we are Antoine Griezmann's favourite football manager team. Wonder if he fancies a loan in Jan!
  5. Supporters will be able to drink alcohol in their seats for the Legends match. Has anyone seen this announced by the club yet? https://www.lancs.live/news/lancashire-news/blackburn-rovers-ewood-park-alcohol-32730810
  6. yes, that is the story, but that story is a little exaggerated The below is a closer to reality, from his wiki Still has stated that playing the Football Manager and Championship Manager video game series helped him to decide to switch focus from playing at the age of 17, and move to England to start studying to become a coach at Myerscough College in Preston
  7. I think he joined a french team (Reims maybe) as assistant then caretaker without having the qualifications. They didn't lose for about 10 on the bounce so they kept paying the fine. He's joked about playing football manager growing up but unsure if he is that 'data-y' - he might just be ginger without being a nerd
  8. Is Will Still the lad that got his break from being good at data and championship manager or something like that?
  9. Agree on O'Riordan. Feels strange that he's hardly had a look in at Rovers, but unless we're planning to splash some cash in January (doubtful) then recalling him in January is essential. Even then I'd be tempted to bring in a CB on loan as well if Ismael wants to persist with 3 CB's. Seen the script with Toth before. They likely won't give him what he wants. Tronstad is certainly not performing as he was last season. I suspect its due to a multitude of reasons...some of which may be personal to him and his family. We forget footballers are human beings sometimes. His performances last season give him enough credit in the bank for me, but its sad knowing that he's likely leaving at the end of the season and he probably already knows it. You can appear fine on the outside celebrating a win like he was yesterday, but who knows what's going through his head. De Neve and Hedges are players that will never pull up any trees, but they're hard workers for sure. You do need players like that around the squad, but Rovers problem is they're reliant on them and there isn't enough technical quality to balance things out. Pleased to see De Neve has improved a touch though.
  10. It would not be a surprise at all if Manning and Still both lost their jobs this week. I suspect a Championship job came too soon for Still. Certainly Southampton as well given their record for the last 12 months, it's very hard to turn a ship like that around. As for Ismael...well regardless of yesterday's win I still think he is out of his depth.
  11. I would be recalling O'Riordan in January. If not we need another centre back signing. Toth deserved a new contract and wage rise. Get on with it Gestede Or maybe given that he has played 3 games in a week he is just tired. He is deffo interested and if you watched him post game his reaction to Gudjohnsen its shows he is interested Its a great point but thought Hedges did very well yesterday there. Both playing well
  12. I wouldn't put it far away TBH.
  13. A lot of managers who you'd think will likely already be very concerned, despite it being quite early in the season. Marti Cifuentes is seeing things go from average to outright poor at Leicester. They have us next so will likely get some reprieve, but it's been a rough start for a team expected to go straight back up. Javi Gracia has lost two of his first three matches, so he'll soon be given the chop at Watford, one imagines. I only partially kid. Birmingham's owners may have expected a better start, considering the money spent there. Really inconsistent form for them so far. It remains to be seen how much time Brady and co are willing to give before deciding to change things. It's possible they'll have learned from their first season the dangers of being trigger-happy. Wrexham kind of similar to Brum, but I get the feeling they'll have patience with Parkinson for now. I don't think there's quite the same level of expectation there, owing to Wrexham's smaller overall stature. I assume consolidation would be enough for them, this season at least. Will Still has had an awful start at Southampton, and without much history in his CV to point to, he might be vulnerable to a swift sacking. If a team had finished 7th the season before and was now struggling at the wrong end of the table you'd assume their manager would have concerns over his job. Not at Rovers though, so not even going to bother including Ismael. Wilder will obviously be given time at Sheff Utd but it hasn't exactly been the start he'd have wanted. Probably the most concerning thing there is that they still can't at least save a point, even if they're unable to win. It's three points or nothing. Liam Manning - surely must be under pressure? That Norwich team should not be 23rd. I read recently that the players are still "very happy" with Manning and "really enjoying" things. I am not sure that's what I would want to hear as a Norwich fan right now.
  14. My son watched it yesterday too, said it was very good, emotional at times. We are going midweek.
  15. Today
  16. I've had dead legs and at the time it doesn't really affect you. The day after was when soreness and stiffness appeared.
  17. Bit late to the meating with those puns
  18. I’m not a lawyer but if they’re sold at cost I reckon it falls within parody.
  19. Sometimes ypu need player to stick at their jobs because you know where they'll be all the time
  20. Miller and Carter sounds like an interesting partnership. I fear it will be rare when we see it. Miller looks like he's got a missteak in him.
  21. I know I can't believe we hadn't thought of it earlier. Stupid fans fault.
  22. Perhaps the injury was put down as a dead leg, which would match the symptoms, and they usually clear themselves with time and stretching. If it doesn't clear up, a scan is carried out to try and diagnose the problem. This is all hypothetical, and just a scenario of what might have happened.
  23. Alebiosu is very promising. Hes not perfect, technically he will do the odd loose touch, and sometimes you are just thinking run at your man a bit more and really believe, but hes become the most important attacking player in our team from right back and has been consistently very good. De Neve, I dont share similar encouragement yet. I dont recall these excellent crosses.
  24. He works hard, seems to have a bit of pace and whilst he needs to work on the crossing, yesterday he presented decent chances for Yuki with 2 or 3 excellent balls put in. Think there may be more to come from him and to my mind, both the wing backs look promising.
  25. If someone can come up with a graphic in high enough resolution….🤔
