  1. Past hour
  2. I hope Dolan does go to the dingles.
  3. dolan will do better in spain than diaz, thats a certainty, thats not hard to achieve because diaz has done the square root of **** all since his purple patch with us
  4. Can anyone confirm the kick off time - Spanish time? Rovers website useless - Fixtures page says 8pm but the buy a match pass page says 7pm (or 6 uk)πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
  5. Some sketchy sources linking us to Bali Mumba and Marc Leonard this afternoon. On that RoversXtra twitter page for anyone interested.
  6. Yeah it could be a backdoor into Burnley although more likely next summer when they've dropped again and are selling players left right and centre to pay their hedge fund investors.
  7. Today
  8. After O'Brien signing Wrexham have approached Christian Eriksen - they're targeting different class of players now.
  9. I didn't know they had the same agent. Certainly explains the somewhat random move to La Liga. Although I don't think it will map out the same for Dolan, BBD did manage to bag a premier league move after just 6 months at Villarreal with a loan to Sheff Utd (unless he already has a loan to the dingles lined up in January)
  10. It must be getting to the point were the fans forum should publish their minutes. Who is the authority that makes the rules about these meetings. They should be informed of the clubs doings.
  11. Probably been mentioned but Dolan and BBD now share the same agent so you're probably right.
  12. He's quietly building a good team there but it also feels like they're taking a gamble with some big money signings. He's added two quality defenders, championship experience all over the pitch, solid additions up top, and a wild card from the US. They've had a far, far better window than we've had by a long way and will finish in and around the top 6 next season with Eustace in charge. Top manager whether we like it or not.
  13. Β£270,000 for Dolan. We could get Waggott back on a six-month deal.
  14. Absolutely! He's a limited player who would have struggled in the Premier League but I think he could do OK over in Spain, particularly against the lesser teams. I don't blame anyone for wanting to leave Rovers tbh. If we're brutally honest, it's been turned into an average, poorly run championship club with no ambition other than to develop young players. The wages are on the lower side too for a team in this division.
  15. A complete failure of planning by the club AGAIN. Good luck Ty! I hope he smashes it and becomes a Β£20million + player. Would be amazing for him but it would also rub the Venkys/Pasha nose in it and serve as further proof of their incompetence. As a previous poster stated, even in the event of him failing in Spain and never playing a minute for the first team, he will still be worth several million and will be purchased by a championship club. I don’t see a top player there, but he deserves his chance to prove his doubters wrong. His work rate and commitment were always excellent despite his impact on the pitch being hit and miss. His contract should have been sorted years ago. He should have been offered a deal commensurate with his importance in the squad and this would have retained his value. Instead we chose to pay him like a junior player to save a few thousand quid for a couple of years. He was absolutely right to reject this and move elsewhere. Myopic in the extreme.
  16. Fair play to Dolan, its a very good move for him. Playing at a top level, experiencing a new culture, living in Barcelona, no doubt a pay rise too. Shows up those who claimed that his agent had been feeding him shite and swelling his ego were well off the mark, a very understandable move. Yes he may come up short at that level and it wouldnt surprise me. Other players that stood out more for us fell short at the top level. But you cant just stay at a middling ambtionless Championship club out of fear of not being able to hack it a level up, otherwise what is the point of it all? Gave his all throughout his time here so no reason to hold a grudge.
  17. Great move for Dolan, hope it works out for him there and if nothing else he’ll get great content for his socials! The kit suits him as well
  18. Maybe someone could ask him why he thinks compensation is due. Then we’d know whether it’s him or me who is wrong.
  19. What an experience for Dolan. I hope he makes a success of it and he goes with my best wishes. Opportunity to play in La Liga, against opposition like Real Madrid and Barcelona. From where he started that is a phenomenal achievement, one he's earned through hard work. Venkys Rovers or Barcelona.....not hard is it.
  20. Yes, I’ve seen it quoted as the end of the season too. That’s why I double checked the actual FIFA document (as per my link).
  21. Hence the comment about coming from a different level.
  22. Looks like there is conflicting information out there! https://www.easportslaw.com/news/training-compensation-and-solidarity-mechanism Training Compensation RSTP art. 20 and annexe 4 regulates training compensation. In short, training compensation is paid by the new club to the clubs that trained the player between the ages 12 and 21. The obligation to pay training compensation occurs if one of the following two conditions are met: 1) When a player signs his first contract as a professional, and 2) Each time a professional is transferred internationally until the end of the season of his 23rd birthday The basic principle is that the new club must pay training compensation whenever a player signs his first professional contract and each time the player transfers between clubs of two different national associations. Compensation is payable until the end of the season of the player’s 23rd birthday. There is an obligation to pay training compensation regardless of whether the player’s contract has already expired or not.
  23. Didn't realise Batty had pace, always good to have in any position. He's not getting much of a look in during the pre-season games though, is he injured?
  24. Cos Batty was Accrington Stanley's YPOTY last season and he has pace - something that's difficult to get your hands on. He deserves a look, he's only 20 (I think). Beck was a fantastic defensive LB (tenacious, quick) but he didn't have the close control to play further forward .
