  1. Past hour
  2. In all fairness, the question was do players the Scottish league ever do well in England Fair to say that Tugay might have been the best of those The fact that 95% of players from the Scottish league are not particularly good doesn't change that
  3. I would give the number 9 shirt to Kargbo after his goal last weekend. We still haven't strengthened our strike force. Let's face it not the most prolific in the Championship.
  4. Guessing he won't be involved for a while seeing as he hasn't trained since getting injured on the 9th July.
  5. Championships looking quite strong as a whole, Derby Birmingham Wrexham strengthened well so far, hull seem to be doing a good few bits considering their under an embargo, looks like it’s going to be a rough ride, unless these unknowns turn out to be good signings, but looking at it as a whole as it stands we’re one of not many teams to go into the new season weaker than last.
  6. Gone for lunch, last case heard was either number 14 or 15. I’m not sure I’ll be able to hang around for the afternoon session.
  7. Whichever way it works out on the day VI has got himself a completely new team. I hope he knows how to glue them together pdq or we're in for a pasting.
  8. Was OK. Probably a decent championship left back but ultimately one of Brain Kidd's rubber dinghy men in the relegation season. I suppose he was on a bit of a hiding to nothing being brought in to replace Le Saux.
  9. Bob & Earl - Don’t Ever Leave Me
  10. I think you just won the internet today
  11. He will be playing right back Watch his interview, specifically mentions getting forward at every opportunity up and down the line What is maybe in question is his delivery once he is forwards
  12. Hopefully not replacing Britain is one of the best RBs in the league Miller seems to be a right footed CB and done better there but can operate at rwb or rb agree let’s see how it unfolds, I note he is already injured
  13. Yeh good shout he was good tbf yeh agreed I’m not talking specifically Scottish league players to championship because there are a number but i was thinking more us buying players from there hasn’t traditionally good for us but Eyal was quality
  14. Up there with the best post ever made on here Matty. The fans forum now need to accept that despite their good intentions, they are doing more harm than good and I call on them to disband and stop the club from taking the easy option in terms of their obligations to have dialogue with fans groups.
  15. Pretty sure It's mostly based on form, weighted by recency and division "Supercomputer" is just another word for "Excel spreadsheet"
  16. Did we do the World a disservice in not continuing the expansion of the British Empire? This wouldn't have happened in my day 😉
  17. What a centre midfielder? Hedges doesn’t play there he’s competing for spots with Roberts / Thomas / brooks / Davies / matondo / Williams / James any of those on the wing back/forward roles left or right - not centre mid
  18. I probably see Miller as the most sensible signing of the summer, along with probably McLoughlin which seems a bit of a no brainer given his Champ experience. Okay, SPL isn’t the pinnacle of global football, but Hibs have progressed well in recent years. He’s a good age and it seems a good price given his contract situation. He obviously offers versatility given his ability to play two positions, BUT I do sometimes wonder whether that can become a bit of a Jack of all trades situation. Other than Berg, how many players have we had over the years that have really excelled at CB and FB? Maybe Mulgrew, but I didn’t have him down as a good LB really. He came in to his own when he moved to CB. On paper, I think this is a decent signing. But like always, that opinion could change dramatically in the next 10 months. He’s also replacing one of our standout players from last season, which is another matter entirely.
  19. Today
  20. Brittain was right up there with the best in the league in that position so it is unlikely that any replacement would be as good.
  21. As I said on the transfers thread, very athletic, powerful, good in the air and good going forward. Good crosser and fabulous long throw. BUT, tends to lose his man and make bad choices in defence (which is his main job). Probably safer as a RCB but will hopefully learn discipline in the Championship. He won't play a lot if he doesn't. I doubt Rovers paid more than a mill for him so a pretty good deal for all involved (except maybe Hibs - he would have been important for them this year).
  22. How did he win player of the season in his first season here then?
  23. Batth is a good player and decent for us but people seem to have quite short memories, some of his passing into midfield was a bomb scare. I forget who it was but feel it was QPR at home when he repeatedly played slow, flat passes into midfield that kept getting picked off, it wasn't the only game he did it either. We have a tendency as fans on here to go overboard with negativity or praise when a player leaves, they were either the second coming of christ or the worst player since Kaba Diawara. Batth was a solid championship centre half at the end of his career, who provided a good foil for Hyams skills set. Beckenbaur he is not.
