Indeed - (to oblivion and beyond....) All working to slash budgets but remain in the league. (7th last year with rugs pulled but anywhere in the league this year will do.) Gestede has already stated going up is not the target. How do G and VIβs pay compare to that of SWAG and JE? -

Agree with you: not unusual that a club would agree a fee only for a player to move elsewhere (usually for more money for both). More curious as to whether there has actually been any agreement reached with Derby or if our local newspaper (and possibly our manager) have been sold a fairy story... -
Sounds like it could just be a cracking result then!

I dont think he needs to sell them a dream. He is essentially an extension of the owners, he is not someone that has to justify his employment to them. The academy is more cost effective to keep, its heavily subsidised, might throw up the odd big sale or two and fills squad roles that otherwise would cost more than our contribition to academy costs in filling those squad players externally. We scout the lower Belgian leagues because they are cheap. Im sure all below him are striving to do as well as possible. But Suhail's objective is to keep costs low as per the owners, and his job is clearly safe regardless of performance. I think your issue with both of these is based on underestimating the contributions of the 2 players leaving. It doesnt have to be seen as a slight on Kargbo and Henriksson. You have been IMO unfair on Dolan, suggesting that he will soon be in League 1, instagramable Hedges, like a youtube player etc. He was a productive Championship winger. It is too early to say I appreciate, so is basically all of this thread, but we are essentially just predicting. But if Kargbo had a season as effective as Dolan last season, it wouldnt be outstanding, but it would be a very productive season. Weimann and seemingly Henriksson were/will be squad players. The former offered valuable goals in doing so. Again, it will be a very healthy first season if the latter matches that. -

Means nothing until the player signs on the dotted line. You'd have a very unhappy player on your hands though. -
On my part, its purely that I find him detestable, not aware he ever did or said anything against Rovers (at least not that I can recall) Edit - I suppose I am also annoyed by the media love in for his "playing the right way" and his unbelievable achievement of finishing 4th with Southampton and going up via the playoffs when they should have probably been in the top 2 given their squad and budget, as well as mid table finishes with MK Dons & Swansea, when he should have probably done better with both

Must have forgotten how he "accidentally" scored two own goals in one game. -

Looks like he's up before the firing squad or the hostage in a video making a ransom demand or something. We've done well if we've got Β£1m for him Id say and financially it's probably a very lucrative move for Buckley. -

https://eflanalysis.com/opinion/blackburn-rovers-should-explore-the-return-of-former-star-who-departed-the-club-nine-years-ago-for-4m-in-loan-move/ Some people are unbelievable. Has this person no idea of how Duffy left! -

Depends how you define "spending money". To me selling Β£7m worth of players and spending Β£7m on players coming in is spending nothing not "spending Β£7m on transfer fees". Im very easily irritated by anything the Club does these days but it also irritates me when the official site parades someone as "the 8th" signing of the summer etc making it sound as though it's the 8th outright addition when in reality including departing loanees there's probably at least that many if not more gone out so if anything Id guess we're slightly down on numbers. -

He definitely unfollowed them, I checked a few days ago. So must have followed them again. -

Hedges fired it wide - so you don't need to give him any credit. A player making an excellent run and not being passed to isn't his fault. -

Based on the evidence Iβve seen (not much) Iβd rather Dolan and Weimann over Kargbo and Henriksson. But itβs way too early (as I said!) to start making accurate assessments. Dolan for work rate and Weimann for G/A returns. Iβm hopeful both turn out to be significant improvements, but right now, Iβd take knows. -

Have we actually accepted a bid from Derby or was that the local rag jumping the gun? (it would be an interesting tribunals case if the fee was agreed, the player wanted the move but then Rovers tried to back out... Wonder if Venkys would take Suhail to court for exceeding his authority...) -

If it does work, I will be surprised. But either way you look at it, with Waggott and JE gone, replaced by RG and VI - we now have a fully βalignedβ team. Pasha is at the wheel! Weirdly, I think we will end up spending more money than we have done recently because this system plays to Pasha and Rudys ego. Lets see. -

Nice ball to Hedges, good awareness but nothing that earth shattering. Hedges still had a lot to do. (And I hate giving Hedges any credit. π) Did he do anything else in the game apart from that? Im not sure how Cantwell not passing to him goes down as a positive on his balance sheet. -
Itβs got plenty of space even when full. They also do VIP on the balcony which is great too, worth the few extra pounds in my experience.

Such a petty thing to do, whenever a player unfollows a club they are leaving -

Well you said after 30mins of watching him you had him down as a rudderless speedboat with no end product and has done nothing since to convince you otherwise whilst he is going to be frustrating (I donβt use the match day thread) sat perfectly showed how his pace opens up space for others and that assist was lovely heβs raw but thereβs something in him and he will frustrate and will likely take time but to say you have seen nothing in him is pretty strange especially after sat -
