  1. Past hour
  2. Too close for comfort in the end but it's nice to beat that lot, especially on their home soil
  3. Sorry not played poor, looked like a poor side rather.
  4. Hello, Charlton fan here. I have read this thread and surprised to see a few comments saying we played poor? Without being biased I felt we played very solid and created enough with our press in the final third to warrant a win. I don't think yous had the best day at the office, but I feel we are a better side than Champ sides may realise atm, being the 'worst' of the league 1 sides to come up. I wish you the best for the season, have a soft spot for Blackburn, traditional ground, lots of history, some classic games between us, and of course you've essentially denied Millwall play-offs twice so you're quite popular here. I made a vlog for this game where you can get a Charlton perspective from behind our goal and you can see how well we pressed if you're curious, hope you don't mind me sharing. I look forward to the return tie and capturing the day, and hope to speak to many of you, good luck until then ladies and gents https://youtu.be/u6YtafttiG0?si=_UocvDL_QEcV9XzW
  5. Its my dog’s birthday on Tuesday and he’s got more ball control than half of our team. Woof woof
  6. New owners always bring in their own head coach within a few months of being in charge. Might be one or 2 exceptions to that but deffo most cases. Ratcliffe and co had their chance and didnt do it. That's on them. Would I sack Amorim tomorrow if I was the owner there? Damn right but I hope they stick him long term now.
  7. Brilliant last day. In fact Brilliant 3 days of terrific golf. Tommy Fleetwood star man with Rory McIIroy. What a captain Luke Donald is. Fancy doing the captain job in 2 years time? 🤔😉
  8. Today
  9. Could’ve lost it after JT started hot but we didn’t! Glad Lowry got the retaining putt. Honestly feel sorry for JT and Young, their amazing performances have been overshadowed by their countrymen being cunts.
  10. Why do new owners/senior management change whether it makes sense to keep or change a manager? Might make it more likely to trigger a change, but it doesnt change whether they SHOULD make a change.
  11. Half Man Half Biscuit - Mod. Diff. Vdiff. Hard Severe
  12. The shirt has finally arrived in Yorkshire……Yodel are absolute bobbins….. I’ll get it on the plane this week pal 👍
  13. I will be in Spain, taking an interest from afar thankfully. 1st of October on Wednesday, so this is a game we have to win, no ifs no buts! If not, no home wins and October is upon us , the alledged recruitment imo has been dreadful at best, akin to find a player who will play for ex £s, doesn't matter where is position is just sign him up. As long as we can fulfill our fixtures! If he isn't fit, he will be by Easter and we can sell him on next year! Venkys Out is all that matters!
  14. He was supposed to leave in the summer, move didn't materialise and he's since scored 6 in 7 matches. Ronald is another one to look out for. Been a major player in attack for them this season.
  15. you can't sack the decision maker suhail...... just because venkys name on the door ,don't be fooled they are decision makers
  16. if he had any form of ambition and self respect he would’ve walked in August.
  17. Unfortunately we have been for 15 years! Venkys Out is all that matters!
  18. Who? Haven't I posted the different reasons in the Ten Hag like new co owners coming in, new senior management coming in, etc. Would I sack Amorim? I wouldn't appointed him in the first place
  19. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Weeping Song
  20. Would have to think that if you are getting thrashed every week it becomes a real test of character to be turning out each week. There is an inevitable fall off in numbers and there will come a stage where it will be difficult to put a team out.
  21. Didnt you say at the time that they should have backed him in the summer and kept him? And why would a cup win in spite of a poor league campaign not keep one man in a job, but a cup in spite of a truly disastrous and embarassing league campaign keep Ange in one?
  22. They're doing the same thing to the men's team as they did to the women's only more slowly, and it will end with relegation to a lower level more in keeping with their capabilities and investment 'strategy'. An absolute total disgrace, yet not a sniff of anyone at ownership or board level giving a single solitary stuff.
  23. Chas & Dave - The Sideboard Song
  24. I think they need to give Amorim more time and more money to continue the excellent job he's doing. Hopefully he'll be there longer than Ferguson.
  25. Another "mystery transfer"...There have been a lot of them. Hard not to wonder who gains!!
