There is clearly no money. Season ticket sales are pathetic, the sponsorship money is miniscule and we aren't allowed to player trade (all the cash goes into running the club rather than being used to acquire new assets to perpetuate the cycle - y'know, short-term, short-sighted thinking). We're in massive, massive financial trouble, with the few remaining assets sold to keep the lights on - because our benevolent owners refuse to loosen the death grip they have on the club.

Their actions have never tallied with saving face. They’ve taken an enormous amount of flak after pulling the rug under JDT, letting Eustace leave for relegation threatened Derby and refusing to fund the women’s team. That’s all in a short time period in recent history as well. If they were trying to save face JDT would have been backed with a decent budget and the ladies would have got the required funding. If anything they’re becoming even more of a laughing stock as time goes by.

Can we not use the cancellation of the womens football as a stick to beat those nasty sexist Venkies with, create some form of outcry? Or does no one outside of our fans care?

Charming. Since when have I had a problem with Scottish football? It’s a cracking, passionate football country. Upside Down has had a bit of a go, but I certainly haven’t, so a poor post. And witnessing that passionate football country, but then seeing the utter domination of the Old Firm in the top flight is why I see it as such a shame, the potential of so many potential football towns and cities unfulfilled as the coaches depart for Glasgow every weekend. You enjoy your days out in front of huge crowds at Parkhead as another trophy is being paraded, fair enough, but it’s a sham of a competition.

I actually don't mind the training wear. It's probably sensible to have some "modern designs" if they decide to produce a "classic" aesthetic for the playing kit to try and cater to as many tastes as possible. Why on earth don't the items come with Macron logos though ?!?

He just has taken them forward. He’s won their fourth European trophy, the last one being 41 years ago. They last won the league 64 years ago and they’re not going to win it any time soon, irrespective of who their manager is. Slow and steady progress is the key with Spurs but, like most clubs, they just will not wait and want more success now. I’ve got news for them. They ain’t gonna get it. He told them he’d win a trophy in his second season and he delivered. A good trophy it was too.
