  1. Past hour
  2. I'd declare right now, get them in for the last 30/45mins.
  3. Seven down, Jacks chasing another wide one. Brainless batting. The bowler didn't have to do anything. I'd take anything above 270. Root 100. Well played Joe. Hope it sticks in the convicts' craw
  4. Doubt tronstad will even be in the squad. I think he’ll be available next week.
  5. 248 for 6 so it won't be that bad Jim! They should get 300 at least from here and the pitch is already showing cracks so its not a complete disaster. No team has got to that score at the Gabba batting first and lost I believe.
  6. When you spend the summer trying to dismantle a popular and competitive Championship side that nearly made the play-offs last season and focus all your efforts and energies on cutting and reducing as opposed to growing and improving then even with serious efforts it's going to be hard to flog season tickets. But when you simply come out with the same old tired efforts as every other year a decline in numbers was nailed on inevitable. Strange that the only people who appear surprised by this are those responsible for the mayhem and decline we've witnessed here.
  7. No, it’s not generative AI, it’s just an LLM, it only predicts what the most likely response to a question would be. also, Rover are rubbish playing against 10 men, and always have been. We rarely press home any advantage from it
  8. I’ve done a spot of stock taking - we have ONE SHIRT left - the ideal Christmas present for someone…👀⚪️🔵 It’s a MEDIUM - 38” chest (please note that the material has some give so probably 38”-40”). Just £63 inc P&P PM me on here for a payment link & make sure it’s in someone’s Christmas stocking 🎄
  9. Celtic have appointed Wilfried Nancy as their new manager. Didn't really know anything about him but read a couple of articles on him yesterday, sounds like this would be another Ange type appointment, where attacking is the main focus of his set up. Plays a back 3 and the 2 "wider" centre backs often find themselves higher up the pitch than you'd expect. Wingbacks are basically attacking wingers and its all about overloading the opposition in attacking areas. It'll probably work out really well for Celtic (domestically), as they are a cut above the rest of the league but like Ange, if he gets a move elsewhere in the UK, I'd expect it fail spectacularly. Certainly one to keep an eye on. BBC article, for anyone who's bored for 5mins: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cdegj67p1z2o
  10. Season tickets, season tickets, season tickets. If you only sell c9k of them, your 31,000 ground will always be empty for midweeks, in bad form etc as the walk ons just won’t be there. Now, you sell c12k STs and straight away their is a decent base to build on.
  11. Id fancy him over De Neve, & he would be a better fit at wing back (pace, energy, intensity & attack minded) than Ribeiro or Pickering Would be another feather in the cap of the Chorley loan pipeline too, he spent some time there last season
  12. Is he ready to push Hedges and De Neve do you think Been pleasantly surprised with how Pratt has stepped up. Doesn't do anything he can't do, keeps it simple.
  13. Today
  14. I love Wharton, and the eye test is more important, but I'm not sure why they're presenting those stats as if they're something amazing. Statistically, the defensive work aside perhaps, they represent a pretty standard performance for most midfielders.
  15. Not seen anything of these 135/15 signs that were meant to be displayed 😥
  16. Gudjohnsen won't be nearly half as productive in his goals return without Yuki doing all the running he does.
  17. This lot have a death wish it seems. Brook and Stokes both nicely settled and then doing something silly. The useless Smyth gone too. 250 all out?
  18. Which is why transfer window are just as important not only from a game perspective but for a fan perspective too. We want our moneys worth. ENTERTAIN US
  19. Awful by Stokes, never a run and Root saw that.
  20. It is true. Ewood park was the jewel in the towns crown. The beating heart. Though Ewood isn't the most aesthetically pleasing area in town it still radiated a presence of business and buzz. People wearing Rovers shirts in town on a Saturday with next game on everyone's lips.
  21. Instant disaster! Stokes run out. Pair seemed really settled too.
  22. I'm surprised they are willing to write that statement, or even someone is willing to approve/accept it. It would would probably take north of circa £200m investment into the first team, to get promoted and then stay up.
  23. £17 in the riverside for an adult the other week, £10 for adult bought by an ST holder the other night. People still don't turn up so that doesn't help the call for cheaper tickets i'm afraid. There's no dressing it up when we are shit people don't want to know and trying to combine cheaper deals when interest is at a modern era low is never going to increase support to a noticeable level. As pointed out many times they simply must do something radical with season tickets in order to increase core support nothing else works odd game aside.
  24. As I said, Baradji is currently an unknown but at first glance, he doesn't look anything special. Considering he was "the one" that they were desperately keen to sign, I was expecting a lot. Perhaps my expectations are too high. I'll give him his chance for sure though. McLoughlin is ok, championship experienced which is good but he's no great shakes. Poor in a 1 v 1 situation as well. Basically, we'd be better off had we kept Hyam. Mori is a good footballer as I said but he gets pushed off the ball very easily. I think he'll get better as the season goes on but he'll always struggle with the physicality of the league. Gudjohnson was completely anonymous vs Ipswich, only popping up to miss place a pass or screw up a counter attack. He works well, to a degree, with Yuki as Yuki does all the running and closing down, which leaves him free to nip into that space or peel off the back post etc. He clearly has a very good strikers instinct which is something we've not had for a while. All of his goals have come from having that instinct and knowing where to be at the right time, something you can see that none of our other strikers have but yeah, his all round game is pretty poor.
