I think this was particularly evident in his first season with us, where we failed a draw a single game in months. It was boom/bust, win/lose - but we were certainly at the right end of the table, as a result. All of that said, it led to many games that we completely dominated, but were caught on the counter and lost games that we had no right to lose. Sunderland at home is a prominent one; we absolutely peppered them and should have won by several. But they were good on the counter and grabbed a couple of breakaway goals on the rare instances they touched the ball.

I still have a bit of faith in the recruitment staff but no i wouldn't trust the rest of them it'd be no surprise if they blew 5/6 million on another Brereton type that will take 2 years to score a goal. I'm also interested to see the agents fees and wage bill from this summer as last time we were spending in the international markets it was low fee, low/modest wages and big agents fees ! Or it was Portugeezers with no fees but 10 grand a week each. There's more than a whiff of all that again recently so it remains to be seen what's really going on.

Maybe it's just me but I would have thought his rehabilitation and fitness levels would have been the priority. Having said that he is working for a manager who organised training the day before a game around his birthday celebrations. Edit: Mystery solved. What's good for the gaffer I suppose. 🤔

Sell and continue to pacify their bosses and friends with their ;hey look we can replace with cheaper and bring in running cost and commission money' policy. Then rubber stamp relegation. Not sure what point you're making? Bell played 61 games in two and a half seasons. Only scored 10 goals though. I remember he was underwhelming as we thought he'd be better than he was. Mind you we'd probably be delighted with a striker scoring 1 in 6 these days 😬
