Trying for a balanced, non-emotive view on this window, and God it's hard when players who have given so much effort leave en masse. I think it's fair to say fans were sick of players leaving for nothing. It's also responsible to have an affordable pay structure. However the club clearly has something wrong when it can't retain any senior players. The only scenarios I can think of where you'd usually sign so many players is either a) promotion and needing to improve your squad or b) following relegation and an exodus. A) has players you'll have awareness of, we're much closer to which is alarming for a club who nearly made the top 6. The board have gone all in on the approach. If it's a bad season it's all on them.

So to recap in numbers, based off last season. 19,863 minutes of experience have left this summer 232 Championship starts between them 3 of our top 5 appearance-makers have departed permanently 2 stooges 1 inexperienced pariah playing “real-life Football Manager” 0 contract renewals

And Tronstad must wonder where all his mates are...

How come Whartons still here then? And even Carter, Pickering, Hedges and Pears...senior members...

When the fixture list came out, my reaction was the sequences were such that they could relegate us if we messed up. After this window I am now alarmed. Quietly all through yesterday the clubs that could be fellow travellers in distress were strengthening while we were selling the centre back who had spent every minute of the last 50 games on the park.

If what Glen tells us is true, and I've no reason to disbelieve a guy who's put so much effort into finding out the truth about what's going on behind the scenes at Ewood, then I'm on the brink of turning my back on knowing anymore shit about our club. So we have a guy, who in his previous stint at Ewood, refused to play, to force a move away. He then teams up, with the most hated manager the club has ever had, in Australia, where no doubt they shared stories, about how disgusting Rovers fans are. He then somehow returns to our club, under the guise of gaining some work experience and to shadow the CEO. Not long after, the CEO is removed and seems to have been all but replaced, by the work experience trainee. He then sets about upsetting people who have been at the club, for many years, in many cases, local people, who have lived in the area, most of their lives. This results in many leaving and due the some of them, having close relationships with some of the players, this rattles certain players, who in turn, give Gestede a piece of their minds. This then leads to said players having their cards marked and being frozen out, or moved on. Meanwhile the manager carries on unfazed by it all and accepts his lot, in the hope that he can somehow make a silk purse, out of a sows ear, but his record suggests, we will end up with two sows ears. Whilst all this is going on, our absent owners, try to persuade a judge thousands of miles away to allow them to have the requirement for a bond to be lifted, to allow them to protect their investment. Rumours then surface, that they are about to be heavily fined and further restrictions, placed on their businesses. Despite this, they still insist the club is not for sale, at any price, so don’t dare even asking if they will consider an offer. Despite all of this, we are only true fans of the club, if we get behind the lads FFS.

It all sounds plausible, Glen, but you're expecting us to take your word for it given you're the one airing the accusations. I'm just a supporter with zero inside knowledge. People post stories, like this one, online, and I've no idea how true it is. I don't know how you get this information or what puts you in this sort of position to do so, if what you get told is hearsay with added VAT, or if it's wholly accurate. While it certainly fits the narrative of nasty owners and people within the club, I can't just take your word for it. The only thing I can judge the club on is what happens on the pitch. The rest is hearsay.

There are many villains responsible for Rovers' demise over the past 15 years but to say Gestede is the worst of the lot is a truly damning statement of the current shambles at Ewood. The question is, what is he trying to achieve and why? If it's a pure ego trip on his part then he needs to be exposed and forced out. Don't ask me how

VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

It cannot be underestimated how ridiculous it is to go into another long and tough season with only 3 centre backs, including one who is made out of glass and has spent much of the last 2 or 3 years injured, and another who is just back from spending 16 months out injured in what is the second long term injury of his career. Even if the rest of the squad was well rounded, which it isnt, that would undermine us. The contract situation was always going to rule this transfer window and not being able to get one single one sorted in our favour has totally ripped the side apart, stripping it of experience and quality. The one positive is that we have signed players in the main for a few years. The question is, it will be a downgrade on last seasons squad, and on last years manager, but how much? Relegation is a massive possibility. A weak, imbalanced squad full of question marks and totally lacking in know how and experience may fold as the season develops. The defence was really strong last season. Our best back 4 has been taken away as has the man who had us so well drilled. Our attack was poor, we have lost 2 of our better performers there and im unconvinced in the main that weve suitably added goals or speed, we still look slow. And our captain in between that has now gone.

This was never about contracts This is ALL on Rudy gestede, his treatment of staff and players and total arrogance. This started in the last summer when JE invited Weimann to train at Rovers to earn a contract. Gestede hit the roof and wanted him off the training ground. JE convinced Waggott Weimann could do a job, against Gestedes wishes. That was the beginning of the end of JE and Gestedes relationship. The day JE left Weimann was summoned by Gestede and informed his days at Rovers were over. Weimann opted to then have a little op to ensure he could get new club in summer. This was pure spite by Gestede as he didn't forgive JE for bringing Weimann in. Gestede then pushed a number of employees out the door for none performance related issues . One employee due to not covering her arms at the training ground. Ive spoken to a number of employees who have departed and some there, but to protect their identities and in some cases NDAs I wont name them The senior players and sadly Leonard challenged Gestede for dressing down employees and being nasty and in some cases making them cry. Leonard for his part was banished to train with the kids. The rest for none footballing reasons and certainly not for contractual reasons (you actually need to be offered a contract to sign one) have all been dismissed this window (all members of the players council). How anyone can defend the ciub is beyond me. The best thing about x now is no one can see who likes your tweets. My own tweets its rather damning given the amount of players,,relatives and staff are liking what im posting. (As people know I wil never post a thing i can't prove). No Gestede , JE would not have exited thats a fact. These lads not being offered contracts which was RG job, is not an error. It was deliberate to drive them out the club. I believe (my opinion) the damage hes created in one summer is more than any single person has at any time in the last 15 years. This aint a plan of success, this is malicious and been made personal due to people refusing to accept bullying at our training ground Many current staff are walking on egg shells in fear . One significant departed member of staff i spoke to for 2 hours on the phone a couple of weeks ago and it was extremely alarming whats gone down at the training ground. Strangely Suhail is barely mentioned in any if these conversations. Its always Gestede. This aint gonna end well unless that man is removed
