  1. Past hour
  2. I'm sorry but what a load of mardy Arse Bollox the above is...You'll soon be forgotten about Travis luv!
  3. So the player liaison officer is ‘so glad to be out’? She really should go to the police if we held her hostage or against her will, maybe she was hard done by, maybe she’s bitter or maybe it’s in the shades of grey. The club is a mess behind the scenes we know that but it’s easy to take shots once you have stopped being paid.
  4. I hate these it was me not you goodbye videos. Imagine Shearer and co doing this kind of thing.
  5. The same manager who called out his own staff to take blame for that loss at Birmingham?
  6. Bit miffed Wrexham didn't steal in. So we are looking for two more signings apparently. Obviously won't talk about a striker because RG won't want it thrown back it him when we fail. The lack of loan players at Ewood could paradoxically make us look very attractive for a Prem club with a young striker they desperately want to see getting game time.
  7. The dressing room will miss him but on the pitch I think we will not miss him too much. He did ok but on an attacking sense we neec more. However with a good extra forward we could find it hard to score
  8. Exactly and this is why I described this as vague.
  9. He said what he wanted to say, agreed, but do we really know what went on from his statement alone? I think I know what went on, but not from what the manager said.
  10. Bloody hell ......but it's ok for the manager to come out in Public and say "Trav let us down" but not specify a reason? Talk about double standards!
  11. At the risk of repeating myself my view is that having two very similar central midfield players was doing us no favours in the long term. Neither of them had much in their locker regarding either scoring or making goals. We were a pretty defensive outfit without ever becoming a team similar to the Howard Kendall team that seemed to win 1-0 every week. We had 7 at the back at times but still conceded goals. Something had to change if we were going to become a more attacking team. I think now we’ll have one defensive midfield player and an attacking central midfield player. Neither of Travis or Tronstad had the required ball playing skills to play the attacking central midfield role. I don’t think either player has the necessary athleticism to do the amount of explosive running required in the role. I was surprised to see how short of real pace both of them were in the WBA game. OK it was early days in the season but they were both really pedestrian. You can get away with that in the defensive role but not in the attacking role. In summing up players come and go, it’s part of football. Am I heartbroken about Travis leaving ? In a word -no. When Wharton left I was inconsolable.
  12. He wasn’t vague at all. He said exactly what he wanted to say. He doesn’t need to divulge EXACTLY what went on. It’s been toxic for years at Rovers. Years and years in fact. I don’t doubt that lots of people are disgruntled, but I’m also careful to reflect on the context of those who are complaining. Those bleating loudest are the ones who don’t fit the mold. I wonder how ‘toxic’ Yuki, Mori, Miller and Baradji are finding it? Truth is, no one likes change. We’re definitely changing. God knows if it will work or not.
  13. Cantwell strikes me as a better footballer than Travis.
  14. I’m hoping we end up getting BBD back. He is available and would fit in well with what we need.
  15. That’s why I personally have no issue with what Lesley Fielding posted. The manager has been somewhat vague and he still works at the club.
  16. I think we are weak in the spine , could do with an experienced GK maybe if/when Pears goes we will end up with a John Ruddy Tim Krul like back up , centre midfield looks week to me pinning a lot of expectation on the 2 new boys to be up to it and stay fit enough because I get dizzy thinking about Montgomery and Forshaw in my first team and only 2 strikers both of whose you could not bet your life savings getting into double figures
  17. Nah, not when it comes from the manager. The club, yes! But IF that’s made up, VI has committed suicide in front of the lads and it’s already over for him. They will do whatever they can to get him out….and I just don’t see that. Managers rarely step over that line unless they have to. Eddie Howe hasn’t publicly shamed Isak or even blamed him in that whole saga. For VI to publicly say that Trav has “Let down his team mates”. Also, honestly….based on the conversation I had with a Venkys employee (same level as Pasha) last year in Dubai. A) Venkys don’t really care (we’re just a line in the group P&L) and b) Pasha certainly doesn’t care what we, the fans think. Venkys are the WORST thing to ever happen to Rovers but I believe you and many others are barking up the wrong tree here. My understanding is that the problem is, they just don’t really care either way.
  18. Mowbray suggested that being honest and principled was the reason he spent most of his time managing in the second tier. I would say it was more a lack of a winning mentality.
  19. I don’t mind your lady calling it out what I do mind is her being vague if your going to say your glad then tell us why as I said earlier without something from yeah Buckley or Leonard then it’s a case of ‘he said/she said’ if it’s me I’m doing what Isak done and I’m coming out fighting my corner
  20. The more of this she's doing, the more she's justifying the fact that the club asked her to move on. Childish and unprofessional. I'm sure she was mistreated at some point, but she's proving all of her critics right. Certainly ruining her chances of being employed by another club or any serious organisation.
  21. But we are now, er, all singing from the hymn sheet 😉
  22. Does Cantwell really strike you as more of a leader than Travis?
  23. I personally find that kind of post unprofessional. Many people have an axe to grind with a former employer but I don't think posting that kind of line on a public forum is the thing to do. Keep it in the DMs and private group chats.
  24. I think Ipswich signed Travis as insurance policy in case Sam Morsy self destructed. He didn’t, so Travis was hardly used. That tells me the management at Ipswich thought Morsy was a better player than Travis.
