  1. Past hour
  2. That all sounds very encouraging. In general, do you feel it's more useful having Suhail there than Waggott, not as useful or no difference whatsoever?
  3. That Rover End Dude is either the most obvious Club plant of all time or clinically insane. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Always amongst the first to comment on anything that happens and always toes the party line. Prior to the January transfer window he didn't want us spending any money and in his eyes putting the Club's financial future at risk. He wanted to build slowly. However that works.
  4. We have also lost a lot better and recovered.
  5. The Real Thing - You To Me Are Everything
  6. Whatever you think my intention was I will deny it 😁😁
  7. You've already highlighted why there'll be moans either way, he SHOULD have been tied down nearly every one of the ones walked for free would've committed earlier IF the club had shown them something. If you invest in players to grow and sell then it's an absolute priority to always make sure you have something in place to protect that asset the excuse of a bit of poor form doesn't wash. At the very least you'll get your modest invest back if they are protected with a contract but don't actually fulfil the potential you had in mind. Otherwise it's pointless we might as well just exist entirely on loans and freebies on low wages.
  8. I agree, he also seems to want the club to be cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face. If the future is a fan owned or least local investment shared with that, then Rovers need to be in the realm of being fiscally safe, not adding more debt to the owners, who seemingly have a ridiculous expectation to get back their investments.
  9. #6 Dire Straits were in the midst of a residency at Wembley Arena & moved down the road to play Live Aid on the Saturday.
  10. It's a lose-lose scenario so it doesn't really matter. We sell him now and he's replaced by an inferior player. Money won't get reinvested. We wait a year and he goes on a free, same situation just one year later. We also have a player in the team not fully committed because he's already mentally detached. Just the usual where we get shafted either way.
  11. Normally I would complain about losing important players on free transfers. Of course in normal circumstances a few million in now rather than nothing in a year would be an important factor, because it could affect our budgets and FFP compliance. But we are well past normal here. As above, we aren't interested in getting better, reinvesting, protecting our assets. We have made no effort to keep him - we want rid. Normal footballing considerations that just about every other club and fanbase focuses on are not in play here. We are in a crisis situation and different rules apply. The reason we want rid isn't because they want to improve the team or spend his money on new players. They want rid because the owners want to save themselves money and are liquidating our assets to do so. The sooner they can't do that the nearer we get to breaking point. The less money they are able to collect from player trading the more they have to cough up in Pune and the more has to go into the Indian bond. I don't want us to sell another player for as long as this Regime owns and runs us. I want this club to drain them of funds to the point they can't do it any more and have to give it up. I want the whole rotten setup to collapse as soon as possible. I am living in daily fear of Adam Wharton leaving Palace, because it probably means a windfall of Β£6-10 million for this lot which will be like winning the lottery. Unfortunately a lot of people still think this sort of cash is going to make a difference to us and our squad. It clearly isn't.

  13. As would I. Both scenarios suck, but I'd rather we raised Β£0 from the sale in the hope it expedites the removal of Venkys and/or Suhail.
  14. Considering how chaotic they are at the top, Watford are making some impressive signings...Fans backlash re managerial positions and rightly so, but the owners are reacting and spending. Ours have been asleep for over a decade.
  15. If we don’t sell, you’re the same person who will be complaining about us letting him go on a free next season.
  16. Why sell? We ain't spending the money. It isn't increasing our transfer kitty. We've already brought in his replacement and the jury is very much out on whether he's any good. Almost certainly he's inferior to Brittain. If we don't sell him then we get another year of a good Championship player in our ranks. If we do sell we are going to be weaker. More importantly than that Β£2-3 million for him just makes it cheaper and easier for Venkys and probably helps chief stooge with his annual bonus. You're trying to normalise this as just part and parcel of everyday life and that Rovers just need to move on and reinvest and try to get better. None of those things are the priority here. We aren't trying to get better or responding to events beyond our control. We have created this mess through a deliberate strategy of running down contracts and that is because the priority is to cut costs and help the owners. I'd rather not help them.
  17. On Brittain. Sign a deal or sell at this point. impressive end to last season, seems to suit Ismael as a manager, perhaps we should’ve tied him down last summer. But I for one was quite critical of him at that point, seemed to be a passenger when us as team where under the pump. Sad to lose him, particularly to a rival, but as many others have stated, we have lost a lot worse and recovered.
  18. I have just sat down at my screen to start writing the minutes up. I would hope to have them done inside 24 hours and they will then be passed to the club. How long that takes can be very variable depending on when everyone is oil and can get chance to review them. Then I like to give Forum members 24 hours to review them before they go up on the club website in case I have misrepresented anything. Ishmael was not there. in fact in all the years I have been on the Forum there has only ever been one manager who has attended - Gary Bowyer. In fact, in John Williams' day, any discussion of team matters was banned. The minutes are not sent to the EFL. They are of course published on the club website so are freely available for anyone to read.
  19. From what little I know, I suspect that Pasha is very rattled that some things are getting back to the owners, that he has been trying his best to hide. He is aware that Glen does have access to them and that will bug him no end. Be loud be proud, we want Pasha out, either verbally or visually, as he will be trying his best to give an image that all is well, but he is slowly being found out.
  20. Today
  21. Suhail gone from the invisible man to fully in the limelight. Nowhere to hide now no wonder he's rattled. Good job πŸ‘
  22. Could anyone really complain if Travis buggers off at the first opportunity? Isn't he supposed to have said to a fan at Accrington on Saturday he hadn't received a contract offer? At his age, his next contract is so important as his earning potential will never be higher.
  23. Oh yeah, it was only a throw away comment. He thinks I'm wrong about something, I think I'm right and it was his response, that I felt was telling and how he phrased it.
  24. The present regime inside that club want rid of everyone and they want cheaper. Actions speak louder than words and they are clear.
  25. You tease! You can't say that and not tell us what it was?! Unless it is in the minutes then fair enough.
