I didn’t even know that group existed tbf. Had a quick nose this morning and obviously the first thing I did was search my name. I actually come out of it ok lol. I did have some decent debates with Drog and hoped I’d never over stepped the line as a mod as I always tried to be fair. He seems to feel the same. I’m not saying I always got it right as no mod ever will. You have to make judgement calls that will in no doubt upset someone. I’m not a huge poster on here anymore but I’ve been around for a long time. Pretty sure Grooby was the first person to make me a mod back in the late 90s. I’m sure it was when I was still at uni but could be wrong. I have no bad feelings towards anyone over there. I’ll have a nose through the posts as I enjoy reading rovers related content even if I don’t post a lot. -

I’ve seen the team already. We’re done. De neve starting, henriksson ohashi up top again, miller is the one who is injured so I think Atcheson is playing wing back. That’s all I know. Going to be a battering today unfortunately. -

Cant imagine that we will, with the reasoning given that he will have not had time to learn pressing triggers etc Expecting him to have a 20-30 minute cameo off the bench in a desperate attempt to claw ourselves back into the game -

I would start Jørgensen, he was preparing for the CL match against City and match fit. A good outlet to have on the counter too. - Today

I see. I don't want to devolve the conversation to left vs. right but I did find it interesting how he used lefty as a pejorative when political/societal views had nothing to do with the point being made. -

Pears is out injured. So probably Michalski will take his place on the bench. -

Yes, merging with the Dingles is the answer, not getting rid of these owners, who are now seemingly benevolent ones we should doff our caps to. ‘Eeees better, eeees cheaper’, indeed. -

For me… Toth O’riordan. McLoughlin Cashin Miller Henriksson . Sonny. Pickering Baradji. Cantwell Ohashi Subs - Pears, Atcheson, Pratt, DeNeve, TGH, Forshaw, Tyjon, Jorgensen i want to see O’riordan get an extended run in the team and I want to see Henriksson next to Sonny. We do need a LWB in this window. On loan at least. Plus the stated striker. -
Todays games for our loanees TBA - 12:30 kick off Barrett - score/update TBA - 3pm kick offs Edmondson - score/update Wood - score/update TBA - 4pm kick off - not a loanee, but interesting to see if he is fit enough to play before he returns to Rovers next week Alebiosu - score/update - 3rd place game - live on E4 Duru is the only other player currently away on loan, but San Diego's season is over now until early February. Reminder that San Diego also have an option to buy which is expected to be triggered some time prior to June

I've been away all week so only just catching up on goings on. Thenodrog 😀 Surprised that forum isn't called lancashireunitedfans In fact, I've just searched the term and he's still on about it now like he was on here back in 2025. The only way this football club can survive long term is if we merge with Burnley and Preston. 🙄 -

I was trying to be civil and a shade light hearted with you. Shame you couldn't return the courtesy. I've replied on the other site and also sent a lengthy reply to your esteemed leader who I consider a friend but with whom I frequently disagree on Rovers related matters. It seems my posts are subject to moderator approval and I don't know if this is the same for every post but in case it's like North Korea on there and censorship wins the day, Ill reply on here as well. I fear you're being a tad pedantic, but go on I'll bite and rephrase the question: If you're NOT happy as you claim above, why do you oppose calls for a boycott of ONE GAME which won't unduly affect finances as season ticket revenue is already banked? -
There certainly seems to be a negative view of diversity over there. I could not believe that Thenodrog is a mod. Totally agree that if you don't want to be challenged then do not post on a forum. Yes, question and offer alternative views, but childish name calling and posturing is not a great look.

That’s because it is Thenodrog set it up as a rival football message board to this place but in reality he wanted a site where he could put forward his right wing anti-immigrant views without getting shot down like he did here -

I don't think I've called anybody a fuck-wit or words to that effect. I generally don't get personal. Except with you on that one occasion. 😄 But you deserved it, so there. You see, regarding the bit in bold, what on possesses you to pose that question to me in the first place? I'm happy? Because...? Can you explain? This is what is bizarre. Now you're going to have to dig through posts to find what I'm happy with and clutch at a straw to back it up. I've got an opinion. And it ain't that bloody extreme one way or the other. -

Agreed. I've had some good old debates back and forth with people on here which have sometimes made me rethink my position. My view is that - short of obvious, low-effort, deliberate trolling - all opinions should be welcomed. Certainly as far as football is concerned. It's far more interesting to see solid points being put across from various ends of the spectrum as opposed to echo chamber agreement. It only really goes wrong if people start taking things personally, or make things personal. At that point we, as mods, would then typically step in - but I'd much rather see good-natured, robust debate than shut down discussion. -

Ahhhh come on lads, enough of this. Forum wars isn’t a good look I would disagree with almost everything that Goozburger has said on roversfans. This isn’t a mob mentality. Given the volume of posters on here it is only natural that if you post an opinion then it is highly likely a few question it. This is social media, after all. This can be evidenced on Goozburgers own forum, where a dissenting opinion was met with some decent discussion and some derision. It was hardly a friendly natured discussion all round. It was no different to had you posted an opinion on here that the majority of frequent posters disagreed with Generally I found goozburger to be a good contributor here. I liked his posts where each player got rated on their contribution. If roversfans harnesses a different opinion than brfcs- fine. But let’s not make that turn these topics in to a sniping contest. If people don’t like being questioned or dissenting opinions then a forum isn’t the place for them -
