There is enough out in the open to surmise: SS is making total fools of Pune SS covered his backside financially with the forced sale of Wharton SS doubling down saying he didn't know Wharton was that good means SS is doubling the mess he is in Even Pune will be looking at this Summer's football transfer business and know they could have covered the cash shortfall by lending under 10 million with a corresponding bond and sold Wharton for at least 40m in this window if there were anyone left at Ewood with the skill and gumption to set up a proper auction. Oh and we would have comfortably made the play offs and JE might not have sacked the club like JDT did before him. ie it is now so obvious that SS decision making is abysmal, even Venky's might notice.

I doubt it. Look at how some posters are suddenly choosing to 'ignore' this thread now it shows the club are refusing to publish honest minutes. -
If minutes are being substantially altered and not a mere correction of error of fact (and noted as such) it means: 1) There is something in there which is so consequential the person making the alterations thinks it is less damaging to make the changes than to have everybody who attended know that there is something fishy going on/ there is an attempt to manipulate/somebody is in a desperate blind panic 2) It calls the integrity of the whole meeting and meeting records into question This was a large semi-public gathering and the storm which has resulted is entirely predictable. What I am reading into this is SS went into the meeting under prepared and over confident and was answering on the fly without considering consequences and certainly without any strategy. Rovers are any extremely public and public-facing organisation and what transpired was a commercial and public relations disaster for the Rovers management and ownership.

When you strip this down to the bare bones, Wharton was sold, when he was, to ensure the bills could be paid. Even Mashed Potato is in agreement that it was a distressed sale. Should Venky’s have wanted, perhaps they could have sent the required funds to pay the bills and stumped up the required bond, in order to do so. That in turn, would have meant, we retained the wonderful talent that Adam is and then allow the summer bidding war to commence and probably a higher fee. Presumably we will find ourselves in the same position at some point in the future, so what then? -

Controversial I know, but what are your thoughts on why version 1 was written this way and who is responsible for omitting, the contentious points? -

So its not the case then that the main factor in the low sale price was lack of interest? The main factor is that it was was a "distressed sale." and that's always going to be the problem. I agree with you! I personally was most distressed at the thought we had billionaire owners who didn't have the wit to make millions by selling at the right time. Didn't have to be a distressed sale, they chose that path. -
This plus the idiots spend the allocated amount. If it doesn’t increase year on year then it is considered a saving/success. My suspicion is the lower wages to players means more to someone else but even then a static wage bill över 10 years means a real world cut (football not actual reality) of about 30-40%

Sad to say it picking up similar bad vibes to what Glen is writing about. Going into the new season as a very unhappy set up. Ismael presser seemed very downbeat for the first game of the new season. I fear the down turn inTrav and Tronstad form is because their heart isn't in it any more. -
Saw bits. Brum a big side can knock it about well. Will be a serious challenge at Ewood. Ipswich don't look to have resolved issues that cost them in the Premier and got lucky. Championship refereeing hasn't improved based on that showing. Brum hard done by in what might have been aeeting of the top two next May. Deserved better officiating for such a show case first game of the season.

I don’t think that’s entirely true. Yes there are people at the very top who have no idea how to preserve our heritage and little interest in doing so but most of the people working at the club are from the area and many love the club as we do and are trying to keep the heart of the club alive. We just have to hope there are enough of them left when Venkys and Suhail leave. Ignoring the 150th would be more in keeping with Venkys dereliction of duty. The club is not rotten to the core it’s rotten at the top, there are good people there and when they manage something that elevates us above the shitshow even temporarily I’m going to applaud it. -

Starting XI last campaign. I’d say we’re weaker at right back, better at left back. Middle 2 the same. Much better in goal. Then the 4 attackers, 2 the same. And it’s JRC and Dolan out De Neve and Ohashi in. All in all the side is very similar to a year ago. -

I think kargbo has the chance to be the highest scorer of the entire group. Also think De Neve will get more than 2 if he gets the minutes in that advanced roll. Hedges is who he is, a squad filler. anyhow I’d Expect our front 4 to be De Neve, hedges, Ohashi and Gueye. Not much different than 12 months ago when it was JRC, Dolan, Hedge, Gueye. -

Are you going to pay the legal fees? People speaking out is sensitive, its their livelihoods. It takes very brave people to come forwards and requires a significant amount of trust. Papers won't run with stuff when they do have the evidence in black and white due to legals. I've personally in the past provided documents to local and national press, whose editors won't risk running the story's, which has frustrated the journalist, who has wrote the story Leaked emails etc, always needs consideration to be handled delicately. Line the ducks up and ensure you get good legal advice. This is about shifting the rot, not being a source of gossip in the pub to convince people, who if they cant see with their own eyes what's going on after all these years, then its a waste of time and effort to change their views. -

These things need airing through a more credible public source. Ideally national press if the locals won't publish. It always comes out as hearsay via the forum or Twitter and half the fans who attend don't realise what is really going on. All it does is cause divide... and surprise when one fan wants a board member gone and the other has no idea why.
