  1. Past hour
  2. 100% a combination of that along with not having done too much over the summer etc itโ€™s just unfortunateโ€ฆnot great for us mind you but donโ€™t think thereโ€™s a big conspiracy behind it
  3. Aerobic testing normally happens in the early days so they have something to compare to mid pre season and then again Iโ€™d assume right at the start of the season its just unlucky
  4. Especially if you're pushing yourself to impress your new boss and teammates.
  5. No it isn't. You're thinking of the last week of the window.
  6. Leicester st home on the last day. Remember two seasons ago when we avoided the drop with a totally unexpected away win at Leicester. Rolls reversed this season then, they win at Ewood and avoid the drop but we go on and get promotion. Well you have to dream positively!
  7. Today
  8. My sympathies. As a lay person I still maintain that if he didn't have any underlying problem when he came, everyone was screened for potential issues before the start of pre season and they're warming up properly, no-one should be breaking down as early as day 2 or 3. I assume they're not being flogged to death at that point or shouldn't be.
  9. I think that this fact tends to get lost on a lot of people. We lose that amount of money because of the model/running of the club. A semi-competent ownership and/or UK SLT and it's a different story altogether.
  10. Nah. He's in the right place where he is -as he's proving.
  11. In fairness injuries can just be bad luck. I lift a lot of weight, 5 or 6 times a week, heavy weights. I pulled a muscle wiping my arse last year ๐Ÿคฃ
  12. When we sign a player it's always a 'undisclosed fee', yet for a failed bid it's mentioned as 1.7m ๐Ÿคฃ Even if we had put a bid in it would be for 200k with 1.5m in add ons for promotion etc. The worst thing is, some people actually fall for it, just seen a twitter post saying we're and I quote "throwing money about this summer". Blows my mind that after all these years there's still people that lap it up....
  13. Hindsight mate, easy to say now
  14. Odds on Leicester being a deal breaker for either avoiding the drop or scraping a top 6 finish?
  15. WE HAVE A WINNER
  16. BRADFORD CITY Did anyone have Bradford?
  17. I think there is a formula to be followed in targeting either European or lower league players with great physical attributes and hoping that they can make the step up or thrive at a higher level. It's not dissimilar to what Wenger did at Arsenal for years. There are few known quanitities in the Championship who would excite me at 5 million or above.
  18. In what world Is Josh Coburn worth 5million? That must include some ridiculous clause if they get in the premier league. I might be in the minority here but I'd rather gamble on cheaper European players than spunk that amount on one average championship player.
  19. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/25266464.parkers-arms-lancashire-named-best-county-awards/ Parkers Arms again..
  20. Millwall breaking their transfer record (ยฃ5m) for Joshua Coburn from Boro. I doubt weโ€™ll spend that much on a striker again.
  21. It all feels a bit 'meh' with no Dingles, Bolton, even Wigan and Blackpool. PNE away in the middle of the most depressing month of the year. Two midlands clubs at Easter, Yorkshire and Humber over Christmas. They could be worse trips, but it's still just a bit shit.
  22. I've found the bit where we're on the edge of the playoffs and then implode in February / March across a load of winnable fixtures after not spending anything in January.
  23. Rinsed and repeated during the season too.
  24. Yep, bit like us she made a bit of a spurt for the line, (won a number of games on the bounce) when it was far too late!
  25. BIg Club's first away game - will have large following. Wait for club announcement we're giving them the Riverside as well ๐Ÿ˜‰
  26. Though I hate to say it the two most-disliked teams in the Div were largely responsible for that reduction in the league as a whole. They conceded a total of 46 goals between them!
  27. I don't think it's the number of gaols in absolute terms that mattered. Eustace had the team playing in a way that would have inevitably (in my view) meant fewer goals but was ultimately getting better results (on the whole) What I think we missed though was Szmodics's ability to nick a goal out of nothing - and then we quite probably would have got something in those failures against the bottom teams.
