  1. Past hour
  2. The Pears thing is really odd. Even if he is "Hair transplant guy" how bad can it be? Surely he could at worst play with a protective cap or dressing on. Can't understand him being frozen out to the extent he isn't even being considered as back up. Did he stick up for Lesley as well?
  3. He wont be going anywhere regardless. He has 3 years left. They arent paying that off.
  4. It's just a guess You just ignored all the facts in front of you again. I will leave it there
  5. 2 years and 230 pages later and still no better informed as to what the feck is going on!
  6. No centre midfielder he will be gone come October internationals looking forward to hearing the absolute nonsense that will come from Rudy about how this window has been exciting - will cite gudjohnsen and Morishita signings which will then in turn fall into they are going to need time to get up to speed etc so predictable
  7. We are a tronstad and Toth injury away from being the 2nd worst team in the league. But I guess the pathway’s are more important!
  8. Would feel more comfortable with adding someone a bit more experienced in centre midfield. Particularly if injury concerns / doubts over Baradji.
  9. I'm really concerned about centre half. The ease at which a decent centre forward can beat our centre halves whilst also giving them a 1 yard head start is worryingly to say the least.
  10. If we end today without adding to midfield then we're going to run Tronstad into the ground. Foreshaw, Tavares, Kristi and sick note as midfield options should Tronstad be out is negligence in all honesty.
  11. Jackson wrongly claiming we are at the 25 man squad limit, Goddard & Montgomery do not need to be registered as they will still be 21 come 1st Jan 2026, & it looks like Pears won't be registered. I would personally keep Pears as back up, but if he is not registered we have 3 slots left. If he is registered, we have 2 https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25430100.transfer-deadline-day-live-latest-blackburn-rovers-news/ As things stand, this is what we're looking like as squad depth. Rovers can name a 25-man squad with Tyjon and Michalski two that don't need to be registered. So they're at the limit. GK: Toth, Goddard, Michalski, Pears RB: Alebiosu, Miller CB: Hyam, Carter CB: McLoughlin, Wharton LB: Ribeiro, Pickering CM: Tronstad, Forshaw, Montgomery CM: Tavares, Baradji RW: Morishita, Hedges CAM: Cantwell, Henriksson, Tyjon LW: Kargbo, De Neve ST: Ohashi, Gudjohnsen, Gueye
  12. The injuries will be the only thing to stop the big move.
  13. It would be a disaster, but a shoe in for relegation is a bit much. There's some absolute dross in this league. You don't need much talent to finish above the three worst teams. Having said that, I'd obviously be much happier if we had another proven midfielder coming in before the deadline.
  14. Lindisfarne - Meet Me On the Corner
  15. So, at most 1, heres a bit ot a glimmer to also cover my own back but almost certainly wont happen. Central midfield is a real concern. Im glad we shipped off the old model that is proven midfielder Travis for our new premium athletes. (One is currently having a tyre change)
  16. From Jackson: "Right, bit of an update on what we might expect today. Not expecting it to be overly busy but there's still the possibility of an incoming. That would most likely be a forward of some description. Outgoings, Harry Leonard deal is done as previous reported, will be confirmed at some stage today. Could see a couple of younger loans too. Nothing on the table for Aynsley Pears at the time of writing which means he could stay."- --------- An injury to Tronstad and we are a shoe in for relegation, IMO.
  17. Pears is a below average championship keeper, capable of great saves but dodgy like most are. From what I’ve seen I prefer Toth but he’s clearly a better back up option than the alternatives, if we can’t get a decent fee for him I’d keep him around.
  18. I named 5 CMs; Forshaw who I don't think can do more than 20mins and I personally wouldn't have re-signed. He's 33, injured and seemingly hasn't had a pre-season at all. Probably useless until at least October. Montgomery who I don't think is anywhere near ready for first team football Tronstad who is first name on the team sheet. Tavares who has flattered to deceive and hasn't really played a huge amount of senior football. Certainly he's never done 35+ games at let's say 60 mins or more per game. Most productive season 29 games and an average of 45mins across those, Baradji - have no idea when he is going to be fit, whether he needs surgery, whether he's actually any good. One injury to Tronstad and one of the most crucial areas of the pitch looks incredibly threadbare. Wingers, you're probably right, we could do with another, particularly given Hedges injury record. Jesus, I'm far from convinced by Kargbo and De Neve, but I don't see Rovers thinking like that. I honestly think they'll look at Alebiosu as another wide option, especially with Miller to come in as right back cover.
  19. Here's a gem from August 1977. Name them
  20. We should do a countdown 7pm deadline 1 hour 25 mins flight time from Belgium 3 hours flight time from Portugal 2 hours 40 flight time from Poland If we've not heard by 4pm then we've no Portugal coup, 4,20pm then no Polish starlet and 5,30 means no Flemish wonder boy
  21. Given our snail paced completion methods - no links this morning would indicate we aren't getting anyone permanently.
  22. Wrexham's keeper is injured, and even when fit he isn't up to much, they could have Pears at a knockdown price of Β£2M or so πŸ˜‰
  23. Shit signal in the sticks does what it wants 😏
  24. I'd imagine Pears' dodgy transplant has meant clubs won't be looking at him, unsure when he will be able to play etc.. besides who in the championship needs a starting GK with 4 games already played
  25. Whoever he goes to he needs to ensure the pathway to the first 11 is there. At Liverpool he’ll do well to knock out Mac Allister or Gravenberch. Really hope the injury isn’t as bad as feared - such bad timing for the lad, he would have no doubt got his first competitive outing for England this time out.
  26. Liverpool won't pay big money for an injury prone player. No one would. Wharton has alot to prove - not least his fitness and the weaknesses in his game before he gets the "big" move he apparently wants.
