  1. Past hour
  2. I didn't actually expect it to be honest, been burned too many times in recent seasons (when are we getting a bottle of Mercers favourite red wine?), so I'm actually happy. Hope hes as good as his Dad because he'd be worth a fortune in today's market.
  3. It could happen well before then. To me, the whole place is set up like a pack of cards.
  4. Being the better team and losing is the sign of a side that will struggle. We got exactly what we deserved against Birmingham because we have took out over 1000 games experience at this level to be replaced with just over 100. We did not deserve a point yesterday, they sat off us in second half and let us have the ball as they were comfortable that we wouldn't hurt them. They should have been going into half time 3-0 up.
  5. Actually thought Cantwell was poor yesterday. The number of times he tried tackling on the wrong side of the Norwich players was alarming although he was far from the worst Rovers player. Kargbo is just poor, full stop. The new Japanese player looks more light weight than Ohashi. Tavares needs to get to the pace of the championship. Wharton and McLoughlin both too slow. Gueye isn't the only player who does not understand the offside rule as Ohashi also likes to stray. The attacking ball from midfield is usually released that split second too slow, I could go on. It is a sad review that finishes with the words 'IMO Ryan Hedges was our best player'
  6. I’m content that we’ve rolled the dice this summer considering the contract situations. When replacing Dolan, Travis, Brittain etc, presumably we faced either going for cheap, experienced championship players with very limited potential for improvement (Forshaw, Sanderson etc) or get creative and tap into foreign markets for unproven gems. No issue with going for the latter approach but the overhaul has been extreme. If we come good this season, it’s likely to be later in the year and how quickly these players settle will dictate if we survive (or better).
  7. Has Leonard's departure been confirmed yet?
  8. I'd stake my last quid that another 2 or 3 years of penny wise pound foolish Suhail in charge things on and off the pitch will be worse than they ever have.
  9. No its doesn't alarm me at all. We were better team against Birmingham and yesterday we deserved a point
  10. Joking aren't you?' Had months if not years to sort out a b new contract for Travis. Wanted him off the list to save money and for him to get the blame. I was quoting goozeburger. My view is the same as yours (and have been saying so over the last few weeks.)
  11. This new striker had better know where the onion bag is, cos by heck we need someone who does.
  12. I expect he has very little say in anything other than taking training and taking charge of the matchday team. Nor that he particularly cares.
  13. Narrator’s voice: ‘They do not have an incredible team’.
  14. Yep I called it not long ago 🤣
  15. It’s quite evident to see two conflicting opinions forming across the fanbase, totally normal I would say after a defeat. Ripping up an experienced squad and replacing it almost entirely with a huge lack of Championship experience is a major risk. Of the players that have been brought in, probably Alebiosu has been the most consistent. Tavares worries me, because not only does he look off the pace, he’s also never consistently played a full season. Even 24/25 he featured in 29 league games, but averaged 44 mins a game, so presumably lots of sub appearances there. Baradji, no one has a clue on his injury or when he’ll be available. De Neve looks to have been sidelined for now and I don’t really see where he fits. Ryoyo looks like he’s got a bit, lovely touch and cross yesterday, so fingers crossed he comes in and makes an impression. I think it’s either insanity or wilful ignorance to not be at least slightly concerned at this stage. Bemoaning bad luck, new players needing more time, feeling sorry for ourselves, blaming refs. 3 points from 12, and 1 win in 5 that’s what matters, and the league table is all that will matter in 9 months time. With apologies to anyone eating their breakfast, I would expect we’ll start to see the following soundbites in the next week or so. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/14856899
  16. People were moving out of their seats in the JW Upper as the roof was leaking on them. Row about 19 or 20. Fortunately there was plenty of space around them.
  17. 3 years contract with 12 months option https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/31/andri-arrives-/
  18. The only thing that matters come May is points on the board … not missed opportunities
  19. Yeah..first out the door if suitors come knocking in January.
  20. Yes , we could have a Kean situation by Xmas .
  21. 36 ish hours left of the window, and so far out of the signings in, Morishita looks a positive buy & his hotel friend Baradji (if and when available) might be the only ones who would have got into last years team. McLaughlin would have maybe been close. Time or not to settle in, there are clear and obvious comparisons to the players they have replaced. Tavares does not look like anything close to matching Travis, let alone an upgrade for example. How can any professional football club sign a player and not understand or know the extent of the injury of that player? Something feels fishy on this one…. Wonder if the agent has any link to Kentaro? Gudjohnsen will wait and see until we’ve seen him in a game (if we get it over the line) - but based on signing players from their stats theyre hardly inspiring and feel like there’s a touch of the Sam Gallaghers about what’s coming
  22. If Donny raise £750,000 in January , we will no doubt sell him !
  23. It does appear they finally have their man.
