  2. There has always been a scummy underclass in attendance at association football games. The ones who sing the most cringe-worthy 'songs' (and I use the term loosely of course) are generally those with the least actual life experience and perspective, whose capacity for self-reflection is negligible and whose values are shaped by the shallow horseshit digital diet they depend upon for confirmation of their backward views. It was always so, although back in the 70s the rhetoric was fuelled more by anecdote and actual interaction, than the drivel that emanates from the gobby rat-holes that today's yoof yell from. Best to put the noise on 'ignore' and try to filter out any unpleasantness that ensues by focusing on the actual reason you are there - to show your valuable and valued support for the Rovers. I do hope your evening gets much much better 🙂 Thank you for standing up for your values and those of many others who can't make it to Deepdale this evening. COYB!
  3. The answer my friend is blowing in the wind, or to quote Ismael: "They are never really ready, you never know,"
  4. Well I can’t imagine many predicted the line up!
  5. Pratt & Montgomery start Baradji is not an apparition
  6. I'm down at the ground by the turnstiles and is a lot of younger Rovers fans (can't be older than 18/19) singing absolutely disgusting songs about Tom Finney. Tried to call them out on it and basically got told to F/O. Hope others will call it out when they hear it as well. Cannot believe anyone would sing about anyone dying at football matches, let alone someone like Finney. Disgraceful.
  7. Dreading this one. A bit drunk already so that will soften the eventual blow. Been wrong every game lately so probably a good sogn. Cheers my fellow Roverites!
  8. Stokes: Starts the day electing to bat Ends the day with a five for.
  9. U21 team to play Watford in the Premier League Cup tonight
  10. Nah, there is a clause in his contract that kicks in after 59 minutes!
  11. Today
  12. Doctor Feelgood And The Interns - Mister Moonlight
  13. on at 60 minutes, injured at 70,out for the season
  14. Seeing the Aussie smugness turn to panic was nice.
  15. Precisely. For that reason I certainly wouldn't consider Liverpool FC to be worthy applicants and probably not Rovers. It's a bit like Bill Gates asking for a charitable hand out. Whether or not we SHOULD have received funding though isnt really relevant. If we were turned down, what else have we done about it? I think we can guess the answer.
  16. Even if he does I expect we are on a hiding to nothing with him. He’s been built up in the minds of the supporters, and the words of the Ewood brain trust, to be the answer to all our problems. Unless he’s extremely good he will no doubt divide opinions in the extreme. Half of us will see him as a pointless signing and waste of money, half of us will cling onto any positive shoots he shows and advocate for patience. Pretty desperate for a player who didn’t even have a Wikipedia page til well after we signed him!
  17. Hedges gave the ball away high up the pitch and then was completely out of position leading to one of the goals though.
  18. If Preston are a sleeping giant then We are world cup champions 🤣🤣
  19. For me I think it was more a criticism of Mr Aloof's logic. Hedges isn't very good in the air and is our best left sided wing back. It was a double whammy for me and whilst it didn't cost us the game it contributed to it in my opinion.
  20. That's harsh on Hedges. In fairness Hedges was not in the mix for the 2 goal header challenges in the Derby match. Miller and McLoughlin were outmanouvered by Morris for the first and Alebiosu was wrong side and not strong enough for the second.
