  1. Past hour
  2. Funny how Leicester get charged yet Chelsea are Man City don't. Almost as though the system is run totally in favour of the biggest and wealthiest clubs...
  3. Joe Garner scored past York City in tonight's play off game and Corry Evans was just subbed off. Who knew? 🤷‍♂️
  4. Why do they always have to handle stuff really badly as well? We must be the least professional outfit in the country. Another embarrassing day for us fans, caused by the ownership.
  5. Which is your team? I was born in Accy, but my parents moved here from St Helens before I was born. All my relations are over there, I've been brought up watching Saints. When my dad died, I found a letter in the loft from 1951,it was from Saints offering him a 3 match trial. I knew about the trial but I'd never seen the letter, it brought a tear.
  6. The two are mutually exclusive. Any investment in the women’s team has no affect on the men’s team or ffp. Its just another prime example of how our owners don’t give a shit about the club, town, or the sport itself. It shouldn’t matter if 1 man and a dog attends or if we have 30k there - we have billionaire owners who should be supporting the women’s game. It probably costs less to run that team a year than Waggotts £600k+ salary and pension I think I’m done with the club this offseason until we see change. Not because of this, but I’m just tired of how long it’s going on. Summed up with this Indian court case (where it seems Waggot has lied to us about - shock)
  7. Are we getting Andy Murray instead?
  8. Maybe we should take a look at his other title?
  9. Today
  10. Don't worry Val, by the time pre season comes around we will have signed all the first team improving players we intend on signing Rub the lamp for your next 2 wishes
  11. “You cannot shrink your way to greatness…” Venkys: “Let’s give it a try anyhow…”
  12. The late season run out of nowhere also helped. Their luck will run out at some point… though not sure there will be any particular consequences of that. Shrugs of shoulders all round! 🤷‍♂️
  13. The easiest thing for any business is to save money, the trickiest is to make money. Executives at this club are complicit in the long term damage of this football club because you cannot cut costs forever without doing reversible damage. We are very close to becoming a toxic brand. With sympathy even for associated fans disappearing.
  14. There isn’t an impediment, they choose not to fund us because they don’t want to pay the bond. It’s a simple choice that Billionaires have made to save a few million.
  15. "Cannot be sustained under current financial framework" aka our billionaire owners can't afford to increase the budget for the women's squad from £100-150k to £400-600k by their own estimates. Utterly pathetic by the club, especially when they bigged up the Lionesses who came through our ranks.
  16. After the JDT farce season they managed to counter a mass drop off with a £30 discount. This time they've stopped it from being out right disaster with earlier sales and a cheaper change of stand option. Lets not mess about they are doing these things out of desperation nothing else, the pair of clowns are just covering their backsides but at some point it will catch up with them. How many others would lose a thousand ST's after finishing 7th ? The lack of trust in those running Ewood is killing the club slowly but surely.
  17. I wouldn't trust ANY govt to hold bonds or guarantees of tens of millions regardless of what it's for.
  18. Is that quote from May 2012 or May 2017?
  19. apparently the bond that venkys have to pay to send money here has been halved, waggots claim that there was no restriction was clearly a lie and he should be sacked
  20. We're the laughing stock of UK football
  21. "The growing financial and operational constraints tied to tier two status, including the requirement to move to a fully professional model, have reached a point where they can no longer be sustained under the club's current financial framework. The optics on this are very bad. In total contrast to the rest of Women and Girls football. A multi million pound operation, but can't find a way to fund this.
  22. Good. The headline on a couple of sites about this being about the owners refusing to fund is refreshing and encouraging. These are billionaires, with nothing stopping them from covering relatively small costs. If they can't or won't do that, they have no chance at all of keeping this business going eventually. I'm glad they are being shamed in this way and suspect it is our best chance of being rid of them. Obviously awful for all those caught in the crossfire though and make no mistake - this is all on the Raos.
  23. I just made the mistake of reading some of the comments on the Facebook post. Is it just me, failing to see that this is an inevitable and sound business decision with only positive implications for the men's team? Im really sorry that I'm not quite getting it.
  24. I can only conclude this was always a calculated misdirection based on the literal meaning. Of course they don't refuse to sign a cheque, because they realistically would never be asked to.
