  1. Past hour
  2. In a lot of ways, posters suggesting that we should not get upset about this situation, with the ladies team, is similar to the cry to just get behind the lads. Ignore what the owners and management at Ewood do and just turn up for the games and sing your heart out. Unless we carry on letting these leaches know, they don’t get away with treating the club in general, they way we do, they will find a way of making this fatal.
  3. It's striped to it's ass by billionaire owners and their clueless, over paid, incompetent, self serving rent boys running the circus 🤮
  4. The club is for everybody, not just the bits I'm interested in.
  5. Sorry but who are you to assert that anyone's outrage is faux? I haven't seen a Rovers mens game this year. Am I not entitled to be angry about the men's team?
  6. A football club is supposed to be more than just a first team. It is supposed to represent its community and offer a service to its supporters. Most of it not remotely profitable. Be it a programme, be it Radio Rovers, be it Rovervision, be it the club shop in town, be it attempting to knock down the academy to put houses on it, be it not having the club locked down on a working day every week, be it fans in the Darwen End, be it fans in the Blackburn End upper tier, be it a Blues Bar now stripped of Rovers memorabilia (so they can put on Liverpool nights)… or be it a women’s team. All gone, all further reducing this club to a sad shell.
  7. It's not Faux outrage. It's genuine anger because it reinforces the nonsense of this myth the owners care about the club but are hamstrung by various things out of their control PSR/Court Orders/Covid etc. It's another example of their ways of running the club being unsuitable. People care about Blackburn Rovers FC, first team, women's team, under 16s, walking football etc. All same Umbrella. FWIW I've been watching the women's team for over 17 years on and off and have family and and friends whove worked for the club and it's night and day from pre takeover to now, just in terms of them being dealt with in a manner befitting a properly run football club.
  8. Me too. I would rather have him than Mose him, Thats for sure and will be sorry to see him leave
  9. TBF that's nothing new. We didn't get much tangible social change until the suffrage movement started gaining momentum. Whether or not many people watched the women's team, they are Rovers all the same and any true Rovers fan should be disgusted by this.
  10. He'll be missed by me that's for sure. He can certainly be inconsistent, but of he wasn't then he'd likely be playing in the division above. Always a solid worker and on his day could pull off some great stuff. I seriously doubt he'll be replaced by someone even half as good.
  11. By this brain dead logic, a life long Blackburn Ender shouldn't give a toss about them closing the Riverside down, which they inevitably will. Whether you watch the women's team or not is irrelevant, it's the disgusting behaviour and treatment of this club by its current custodians. If you don't understand that that is the point here then just stay out of the discussion less you make even more of a fool of yourself.
  12. Today
  13. I appreciate that you, along with Proudtobeblueandwhite and only2garners are a poster who genuinely has taken an interest in the Ladies team so I don't have any quibble with you being upset. The faux outrage about this from other posters who have never shown any interest is another matter. As pointed out above the Under21s and youth teams provide players for the first team and funding for the club so nobody wants them to go.
  14. I think if he goes North of the border that means less compo ? Which would be typical, not that it effects the budget anyway.
  15. From what bits I’ve seen I can’t think of any of the “ kids “ that are ready for a serious run of games at Championship level.
  16. Rangers are interested in him, according to some link on BBC Sport.
  17. If he could improve his decision making he’d be a much better player. Souey did that with Matt Jansen so somebody should be able to do the same with Dolan.
  18. It’s on the back page of today’s “ Guardian “ with more of the story on an inside page. It’s featured as an exclusive by Tom Garry - “ Blackburn tell angry players WSL 2 place is in jeopardy. “ It doesn’t really tell us anything thst we on here don’t already know. It just refers to “ Blackburn “, it doesn’t mention the Chicken Chokers at all. It come to something when the women players have more balls than the men when it comes to speaking out !
  19. Delighted to see Coventry and especially their keeper fall
  20. Exactly. Why would it? Any normal club it would be suicide but here it just doesn't matter, the budget is the budget remember. There is no point in this club selling a player ever again.
  21. Again, not what I am referring too. I am talking about the complete silence to employees of the club about there future's. Keeping them hanging on while they "decide" when they know damn well what the decision will be. If they had to disband it, they haven't woke up yesterday morning and decided not to fund it, this will have been months in the pipeline. You need to wake up a bit to this regime. Hopefully the terrible PR will make them backtrack and decide to fund it, but we'll see.
  22. You're probably right, I need to be less cycnical in my old age. The PL is 'THE BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD!!!' 🤣
  23. And whatever the owners do, you support.
  24. Surely you are not implying that those people inside the magic picture box are being anything less than 100% truthful and honest? My worldview is collapsing 😉
  25. To describe the PL as the 'best league in the world' is subjective guff. It's just a meaningless marketing statement used to sell Sky subscriptions.
  26. Completely irrelevant. How many watch the under 21's and youth teams? Shall the club stop funding them too? This will affect other Rovers girls teams too.
