  1. Today
  2. Rovers can bring back all the past successful players, managers to hype up the atmosphere. but the truth is the players dont really care and fall short of the quality and standard we should be showing. 4-0 to Birmingham. I hope im very wrong of course.
  3. Thanks Parson. @chaddyrovers You don’t need to like posts replying to me, and then copy and paste it as your own quote too. It’s part of why you have a reputation of being unable to form or properly defend your own opinions.
  4. Never felt such animosity towards the board and the owners before the first home game of a new season. It used to always be an exciting day but due to their continuous negligence the squad is all over the place. Gestede out Pasha out Venky's out!
  5. Wow. Adding Broadhead to that. It's genuinely upsetting that we're falling behind a team like Wrexham. I never thought I'd see it.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Maybe they will change formation. I dont know. Either way, he is a very good player at this level. You say they could sign 3 Championship players. They have already signed Lewis O'Brien, Ryan Hardie, Keiffer Moore, Conor Coady, Josh Windass etc. My point was merely that I wish our worry was whether in signing a proven Championship quality player, on top of loads more. That we may have overpaid. As opposed to seeing us get rid of most of our players and replace with cheap randomers on small wages.
  8. Just looked at some of the low value transfers in the division... Imagine a world where a club builds on progress and keeps their better players: Toth, Pears Brittain, NEW Batth, Hyam, Carter, Wharton Pickering, Ribeiro Travis, Tronstad, NEW, NEW Dolan, NEW Cantwell, Wiemann Kargbo, NEW Ohashi, Gueye, NEW, NEW Ryan Hardie comes in for Β£750k and any other striker from Emil Riis, Carlton Morris or Oli McBurnie on a free. Djeidi Gassama for one of the wing spots - Β£2m, Kwame Poku on a free for the other. Jeffrey Schlupp & John Swift on frees to cover midfield. I'd be confident of a top 4 finish with JE in charge. Instead we've spent around Β£4m (plus when the accounts are released no doubt we'll have one of the highest agent expenditures in the division) on mostly untested foreign imports. (Whilst bringing in roughly the same in sales let's not forget) For anyone saying 'but the wages'... Adam Wharton, Sammie Szmodics, David Raya, Sam Gallagher, Leo Wahlstedt, Niall Ennis, Thomas Kaminski, Ashley Phillips, etc, etc. Β£40m+ income over the past 2 years. Fuck knows where we'll be and what the squad will look like in another 12 months.
  9. The bean counters were happy to get him off the books but JDT did say that him and Travis had spoken and Travis wasn't happy that he wasn't playing . He hadn't started a game In central midfield in something like 3 months as far as I can recall Utterly stupid to send him out and then sell Wharton like , but they had told JDT that Wharton wasn't being sold
  10. He says it because that's what the Club said.
  11. Are our saying it was JDT's decision to loan Travis out to Ipswich? Surely the motive was financial, to get him off the books? That's hardly Head Coach territory is it?
  12. I didn't hear you complaining and saying we should have signed 3 players for the money we spent on Brereton. Wrexham have signed other players and will most likely add more before the deadline
  13. I really don't know why I bothered and taking time to your questions cos you just come back that first sentence. So all getting abit tedious and monotonous with yourself now. I leave it there tonight and until after the Birmingham game. Let's hope we get our first win and we can go all home happy
  14. They'll finish above us this season after being in League One last year and were in non-league a few years ago. They're doing it right, we're doing it wrong. They won't get busted with FFP either which proves that clubs getting relatively small gates and no parachute money can spend big at this level without issues.
  15. I would be amazed if Gestede gets any sort of senior job in football when he leaves Rovers - I think it will be common knowledge in football that Rovers are seemingly a dysfunctional mess and Gestede as Head Of Football Operations must take a huge slice of responsibility for that. It's not experience Montgomery needs, it's a footballing ability!!! IMO, the lad hasn't got it and never will - over hyped beyond belief.
  16. Who hired RG and why can we not fire him if he is so disruptive, does he have someones ear?
  17. Why did Venkys bought Rovers. It has cost them a lot of money .. paying of debts... Paying for the club... Paying for losses... Getting negative publicity, being fooked by agents...they are losing money...what do they gain or are they stupid or being messed with sitting in India being told everythi ng is alright?
  18. You are just parroting whatever the club says. We only need a right winger and replacements. The issues have all come pre Ismael. Season of transition. The issues are not just historical. Yes, contracts should have been offered before and I was certainly stronger on that than you who told me to stop going on about it. But if those problems had been resolved, those deals could still be done in some cases. Take Hyam, even with a willingness to sign, we still are incapable of putting an improved deal in front of him. And you believe that its just all problems in the past? And things are different? Montgomery was playing in the 9th tier last season. Because of cut backs, hes just assumed as a ready made first teamer. Its not healthy. Theres a difference between bringing in players that are ready and just shoving loads within the first team squad at once regardless of readiness to hit arbitary targets and cut costs.
  19. Or a whole new squad from the Belgian second tier.
  20. Yes he has Mike, He was asked a question and he answered it. Should he lie to the Supporters who paid their hard earned money supporting their team Chaddy, you are naive jesus Christ
  21. As others have pointed out presumably you wouldn't want him saying in response to a question about how he thought the young keeper and Montgomery did the other night: "I know they're young lads and all that but fucking hell that was an eye opener tonight. Im not sure either will make it after seeing that" or " X was late for training the other day, I fined him a week's wages and tore a right strip off him. He didn't like it I'll tell you!" More extreme examples obviously but do you think Vi's "transparency" will make the players feel more or less inclined to play for him? Or will they think "Im not playing for this fella, he might hang me to dry out in Public next like he did Trav".
  22. Where is TommyRovers when you need him?
  23. Why is no-one offering a simpler model to them?---SELL!
  24. Both i think and in that window we brought in one player, who just happened to be his wife's client. The ownership situation is just so easy to exploit inside Ewood if you have the ear of the right people.
  25. You loved asking questions do you? answer to the first question, we see in May but given Ismael's recent comments and with Brittain and Travis leaving its feel more of a season of transition and mid table finish. answer to your second question, We need a new right winger signing for deffo, should have been done by now. Secondly as Ismael has said we can replace players who leaves but you can't keep signing players after players without letting players leave. Stockpiling players isn't an option No my opinion haven't waivered on Michalski, Montgomery or Tyjon. You got to understand that these young players will have up and down, but you need support them at the right time and give them kick up in the arse sometimes but that all point of developing young players. They will have up and down but we are right to want to develop our own players given we have Category 1 academy How it shite when its all happened before he joined the club. Hyam, Tronstad, Brittain and Travis situation should have been sorted before Ismael joined the club 2 very different situation and I don't think either were shit. Michalski made a huge mistake and he knew it. He was gutted about it. Montgomery isn't a right back naturally but he wasn't anywhere as bad as shit. Also you need to put your arm around young players when bringing them through and know when to use a stick or also put an arm around them Also he wants asked about the Travis situation and told the supporters the situation. Why you rather lied about it?
  26. After that another will take his place. Same will happen with the vacant CEO role, same with Suhail. It's Venky's that need to f..k off.
