  1. Past hour
  2. This is a very valid point. The lack of chances created is horrendous. Gudjohnsen we know can put chances away, but he is a poacher, a Jordan Rhodes type forward. If you're not creating chances then it doesn't matter who is playing up front. Equally, Gudjohnsen has had his good goalscoring run when playing alongside another forward, so having him as a lone striker is not ideal. The players brought in have created more problems than solutions in that there is no clearly correct system to play.
  3. Mowbray isn't a fixer or in my opinion a motivator. Having said that, our record over the last 15 games would be markedly better had he been in charge. It would be too little, far too late. If someone is going to come in and work with this bunch of losers they're going to need to shove a rocket so far up their arses they'll be belching smoke.
  4. No transfer window, a crap injury prone squad. I'd sit this one out TM don't let it hurt your rep.
  5. I completely agree on that last line. The problem is that any manager or head coach who has that ability will simply get fed up of the lack of ambition, as we have found out in recent years.
  6. Still think we have to get a game delayed or abandoned somehow.. not sure how and long odds but the club managed to do it themselves ,,🤔... enough people and blocked roads etc ?
  7. Hell no to Mowbray. Selve serving man when he was here. Just filling up his coffers. People say till the end of the season but he'll wangle his way into a 3 year deal then play down any positives. We'll be back to mid table bottom half survival. We need a manager who can get the best out of an average bunch whilst punching above our weight. This league proves if u have a good manager and decent players, anything is possible
  8. Although not a Foward .. what about the young lad at Sunderland Rigg on loan - not getting any airtime in the Prem?
  9. The same guy who couldn't keep us up last time we were in this position..... and with a better squad. Makes sense!
  10. That's another massive potential loss of income in league 1 as not many will be pitching up with thousands of fans and dozens of coaches to fleece.
  11. I personally really admire TM and even though it went stale towards the end and he should have gone sooner, I'll always be grateful for how he got us straight out of L1, that feat should never be underestimated. For those saying he took us down in the first place, I honestly believe if he had come in a fortnight earlier he would have kept us up. When he came in, we only lost 3 of our last 15 matches and we went down with a very high points total. He did a very good job, he didn't 'take us down' Having said all that, I'm not sure it's the answer this time. The squad is worse, the atmosphere is even more toxic and the boardroom is even weaker and more naive than it was back then. I would 100% get behind him and sing his name but I think it might be too much for him after the few years he has had.
  12. Too much has been made of this travelling thing. Its been taken out of context as if he was managing here against his will. Also, every manager is managing for financial reasons. They all get paid. He actually does seem particularly obsessed with football. We shouldnt get him back, he has had his day and has had a serious illness. He would be a big upgrade on Ismael but he shouldnt be who we turned to. I think I would like it a bit just to see those with a really irrational and weird long lasting hatred of him reacting to it. But its not happening anyway. Ismael is safe.
  13. Well, like it or not, the statement is one of fact, not speculation, which makes your petulance somewhat questionable. Methinks you might be deliberately seeking to undermine the point I was seeking to make, about wider awareness and scrutiny of the goings on at Ewood under the Venkashati yoke. Each to their own, I guess.
  14. Not a chance Duff puts up with it. More chance Dunn does. Mowbray hated travelling here when he was well, even for 6 months I can't see it. The only punt we can make for me is a random foreign manager. Val is a league one manager, and I can't see any of them risking a move. Ainsworth at Gillingham I believe. Before we start scratching that scab
  15. If this happens I will be fucking fuming
  16. Duff wouldn’t stand for any of the shit. No manager with aspirations will come here because the club has no aspirations.
  17. Mowbray would not be my first choice but he's an improvement. For me, I'd give it to Duff. No shortage of passion and I'm dam sure he'd put a bit of the feel good factor back.
  18. "After finishing seventh last season thanks to a late season surge under Ismaël" With all due respect, get fucked with this narrative. Shows a total lack of understanding of basic recent history, so didn't read any further.

  20. Firmly in the NO to Mowbray camp: Couldn't save us last time and he should have (arguably in an even bigger mess now with worse players) 9 to 10 years on, recent serious illness and abilities in decline (failed miserably at WBA second time around) Him and Venus too old school - desire and hunger or a chance to further top-up their pension pots!? Neither trust nor like the guy - at the helm when Waggott's plan to carve up Brockhall came to light and always moaned about his distance away from home and family life only to later rock-up at Brum then WBA! Could be Bailey doing his pal a favour and getting his name out there. We need a change of manager/head coach but for me, Mowbray is not the man; IMO, mainly in it for himself and you need to look beneath that 'Uncle Tony' persona he likes to portray.
  21. From their perspective then, this makes sense. They will hope it will build bridges of sorts. It won't, or at least it shouldn't, but some fans will lap it up. I'm not one.
  22. I'd happily have TM back because, at the very least, he can't be worse than VI. However, I'm doubtful he'd keep us up, the make up of the squad is very different to anything he had with us where we may have had relatively decent seasons. Also he's spoken highly of Pasha and the Venkys, so it does little towards the removal of either.
  23. Oh for god sake why do teams re-hash former managers? No to Mowbray! Use some imagination, other teams manage to find great managers from nowhere but we are looking in the old folks home 🙄🙄
