I agree , we have to get something out of this game or we will be stuck in the bottom 3 all season , unfortunately that starting eleven , gives me very little confidence ! Like I have said for the last 2 games , I will be pleasantly surprised if we avoid defeat .

The rules make that nearly impossible in the Championship. Without fielding English players we would lose our ability to sign enough players who don't automatically qualify for permits, and it's much harder to find players who auto qualify for permits at this level, and certainly with our finances. It can be done (no English players) but you'd have to almost go out of your way to make it happen.

I agree that we have not actually played that badly so far and have been pretty unlucky not to have any points. In terms of whether the team is any good... Too early to tell really. Signs are good defensively but lacking ideas going forward. Really need Abeliousu, Ohashi, Kargbo and Cantwell to find some effective link and patterns between them as all our attacking play will come through them. Hope they've been really focusing on that all week in training.

I think after watching last night that its going to be a long season for Rovers fans how low can Venkys take us at least the u21 cant be relegated until venkys decide to de fund them.

We've done okay in this season's two league fixtures, and could have easily picked up four points. That said, it's not a great team that we've got out and I'd be happy with a point today.

Big blow for Hull with Charlie Hughes out ill and 2 other senior centre backs also out. Really need to be getting a win. Dont want to start to be cut adrift of direct potential relegation rivals so soon.

Didnt score a single goal for Hull in 6 years. Although did score an own goal for us last year.

Last time Rovers lost the first 3 league games was 2016/17, it was the infamous Cardiff away defeat when Shane Duffy scored 2 own goals and got sent off. We all know how that season ended. Obviously a long way to go but Rovers really need to get something on the board. The starting XI is probably the best they can do in the current circumstances, but I just don't see enough creativity in that team. First goal is crucial. If Hull score it then I can't see Rovers finding a way back.

Just speculative but I wonder if Adam has a minimum release fee in his contract which has not yet come to light.

I think the main driver is still cost cutting and replacing with cheaper wages but you do wonder if there is also another agenda at play. All this talk of a 'new chapter' etc....
