I think the captain had a good tournament. I also thought Lucy Bronze was a bit off the pace, then she tells the interviewer she was playing with a fractured Tibia !

given that there is 5 weeks of the window and we want another 2/3 signings from Ismael has said to Jackson before they left Spain. I think we will bring one more signing in before the WBA game. we need to sort this Moussa Baradji deal and whether we are going to sign him or not Bring in a centre back attacking right sided midfielder -
My tournament favourite (for England) is Kiera Walsh. She flies under the radar. She seems to have an extra spark from time to time which leads to an unexpected danger for the opposition.

We don’t seem to develop wrist spinners these days Chaddy. To be honest we didn’t develop many in the past. Off the top of my head I can only think of a few. One who played for Lancashire and England learnt his early cricket on the common I live facing - Tommy Greenhough. The old guys on here will remember him. It’s a difficult art to master. I tried as I kid and managed to get the leg break going sort of ok. Just for fun, I’d stick to what I knew in real games. Funny thing - when I leant to bowl the googly I lost the ability to bowl the leg break. Shane Warne was a freak. Probably the best spin bowler of all time. His level of accuracy was amazing for a wrist spinner.

Which are the ex-Rovers girls? Is it Stanway, Toone and Walsh?

Gilliver had a disc problem. He ended up seeing Frank Plumb, the chiropractor that I saw about my back years later. He advised him to have a disc fusion, which I think he did. He couldn’t bend his back very well after that but he could play. It’s no fun turning out with a disc problem. Martin Britt had been a star striker at West Ham, he scored 4 goals in the FA youth Cup final whilst being marked by no other than Liverpools Tommy Smith. However he’d got a bad knee injury before we signed him. Allegedly we’d tried to sign Colin Bell from Bury but he decided to go to City. So we went for Britt. He retired from the game after his time with us. He must have been about 21. Very sad. I saw an old photo of him looking really lonely on his own walking with a stick in Blackburn town centre. -
Hemp POTT for me - ran her blood to water. Always willing to carry the ball and give England an outlet.

well done the Lioness, didn't watch it the final or any of the tournament but back to back winners is a great achievement by them so the deserved huge credit for that how is Malta these days? beautiful place to holiday Women sport just isn't for some people. I have no interested in Women football but can recognised that for some people are really invested in it and attend games.

We made a good profit on him and he hardly played for Palace and drifted out of the game. -

If the club went to those lengths, it also makes no sense to then claim they don't care what the fans think. -

Gestede said more than once that incoming fees will not be added to the budget that was set. We are fine with ffp...we spend penny's on incoming transfers and the playing squad wages have been cut way down from what they were previously. So going off your logic we should sell Hyam, Brittain, Tronstad and Travis this summer as they all have one year left. Do you think we would still be a championship club going into 26/27 if we do this? -

The famous £20m figure is not relevant for FFP as a chunk of the expenses we incur are ineligible for those purposes. One of those was the womens team I believe. Was. - Today

Superb stuff and several of these players with Rovers links too. I’m not going to state the obvious, our owners don’t deserve to share the same page with these European Champions.

They specialise in making bad decisions.

Venkys missed a trick cutting our girls from the league. There's going to be a lot more interested young women and girls wanting to see Rovers Women after that. Sadly not playing from home.

While the outgoing fees may not be made available by the owners the sales do affect the clubs financials and FFP, no? So regardless of if the money is made available the sale allows for the ability to fund the club further. I took Gestedes comments to mean the player sales affect FFP but don’t directly lead to those funds being available. We know the funds won’t be reinvested but we’re run at a £20 million loss per annum and need those sales to even maintain “normal” operations. Point is the strategy of letting players run down their contracts and walk is crazy (also on par for our owners). No real club with ambition would operate this way. -
