Obviously, I just go into every game now with zero confidence. Not out of the realms of possibility that Charlton (vs Derby) and Oxford (vs QPR) get homes wins tonight and Norwich are away to WBA. Could be a very dark day indeed for Rovers. -
Guilty, Your Honour!

In bet their arses went 🙂 On a serious note just like the outside world in general this United Nations approach is fraught with all sorts of issues on and off the pitch. Relocating a few at a time and integrating them into the club/country/area and getting them used to the football etc fair enough, especially when you have that British philosophy to ease them into. Throwing together half a dozen or more at once and trying to blend them in with raw kids and your British core has gone, asking for trouble and here we are.

The January 2026 Transfer Window

You're being pedantic now. He said he didnt have a name but "a forward" was coming in and he did. Whilst Jackson and other sources were talking about that other lad from Toulouse which turned out to be complete nonsense. -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Tomphil2 replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Technical Director suggest he's the one who implements the football style throughout the club and focuses maybe on working with the DJ and the coaching staff on improving individual players via their data. Might be wrong of course but what else would he be doing and Gestede saying AO 'assesses everybody including VI doesn't mean a great deal at Rovers because he'll report to Gestede and Suhail. So Rudy is slyly passing the buck there the Tech director won't be able to hire or fire or sign or sell anybody he just gives his reports and opinions to those above him. -

Its not sniping, I literally asked for some detail as to who he was referring to. He didnt get Jorgensen before anyone else. He never once specfied his name. -

Trouble is football is now an industry worth billions so everyone is looking to get that extra few % out of the teams. Maybe hiring a specialist defensive coach seems like a pointless non-job waste of time but it could be one of those fine margins that make a real difference. The cost relative to the potential reward is decent. There are clubs were these modern structures work and work well. Then you get clubs trying to copy it...badly. Like us. People employed in roles with fancy titles but all the power is concentrated in one person. -

Yet despite that we have only spent 3 match days in the bottom 3 all season, and haven't been in there for the past 3 months. We have also only lost 4 of our last 12. Lets see what happens. Apart from Sheffield Wednesday, absolutely nothing is cut and dry in this league, and it would be pretty foolish to suggest otherwise. 2 years ago this whole board was convinced we would go down as the season went on, yet we ever entered the bottom 3 once. Should we end up in the bottom 3 by tomorrow night, then I'm ready to concede that that might be that. -

Another 25 year old Dane -
McCarthy (SA) Duff (IRE) Bentley (ENG) Pedersen (NOR) Tugay (TUR) Nzonzi (FRA) Emerton (AUS) Samba (COG) Hendry (SCO) Nelsen (NZ) Friedel (USA) Not sure it would have worked out in reality, but more a team of my favourite players. Could quite easily have thrown Savage in there instead of Nzonzi because of his shithousery!!

I completely disagree. I'd say when the chips are down we can't get any sort of result under VI whatsoever. Right from the moment he very first walked into the Club. We saw it last season with the failure to make the playoffs and we're seeing it now that things are getting tighter and tighter. One win in twelve and two goals in seven hundred and odd minutes. That's not really indicative of a team that can pull out the odd result when needed. -

As Shakespeare said when I asked him: The teansfer window thread is but a walking shadow, a poor player, That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing. -

I refuse to believe we're going to be bought by anyone. Hope is a bad thing at Ewood Park. However, right now I'd accept a consortium of James Corden, P. Diddy and the Chinese Communist Party taking over if it meant the end of the Raos. -
Said it before, but really think Garrett should be given a go at LB, as he was sometimes in his youth career. Another thing, Khan has been criticised but there's a few U21 players that could be questioned. For example, how many goals have the forwards scored... Someone like Stritch plays pretty much every game but rarely gets an assist, let alone a goal. It is harsh to pick on him alone but the overall standard seems poor, which is especially worrying as more youth players get promoted to try to save the sinking ship. The biggest criticism, of course, for the management and ownership who have left the squad weak and threadbare.

If there was a break clause in Vi's contract allowing him to be sacked after 6 months it should have been activated after he blew us almost instantly out of the play off reckoning. The fact it wasn't activated then doesnt inspire any confidence that they'll act now either.
