If De Neve is considered part of our best eleven then I despair. He's fast and got good positioning, but his technique is non-league level. Hedges appears to have lost favour as a first-teamer, for now at least. Kargbo has vanished - is he injured? Morashita starting for this one. Tavares back on the bench. Ismael really does have no clue what his best team is. Truth is there's probably very little difference in any combination of players he puts out there. The only one who could make a significant difference is Cantwell, and he's obviously not available.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

So Ismael now thinks the fans are stupid suggesting the quality of the squad has been diluted The man is behaving like an arrogant prat -

Yeah not technically brilliant but seems up to it physically. Morishita brings more quality but I think he gets a bit bullied. That said first time Morishita gets a proper number 10 role with 2 strikers ahead of him, so if there is any setup that will give him space this is it. -

It's been run through a few times but that bench is shocking. If you looked at careers Morashita looks the better pick to Henriksson, but Henriksson feels like he's starting to get up to speed so feels a shame -

I dont think Rudy would be able to sack him. Would be Pashas / Venkys call. -

Kargbo not on bench?? -
We were talking to Matty Warhursts dad and it definitely wasn't Paul.

Great performance from the under 21's and the manager deserves credit as he got his tactics perfect. We played counter attack in the first half and created more chances than City. Taking a 2-0 lead was perfect as we broke with pace when the opportunity arose. I thought the penalty awarded for a foul on Tyjon was harsh but he despatched it expertly. The second goal from Powell finished off a smart, incisive move. We new City would come out in the second half and go for it but we defended terrifically well and really limited them to long distance shots. We reverted to a solid back five to quell their attack and let them have the ball in non threatening areas. It worked to a tee. A really enjoyable game with lots of good individual performances but the collective was indeed better. And as I alluded to the manager deserves great credit for his game plan and tactics.

Think it's about the strongest team we can play at the moment, sad to say. Maybe Henrikson for Gudjohnson but that's close. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
scotchrover replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That’s in Glenn and Duncan’s court, imo. They look like they’re spearheading something sound behind the scenes. Whatever it is, we all need to get behind and be one unified protest movement. -

Wouldn't have dropped Hendriksson, thought he's looked quite good the past 2 games. -

Last chance for Val for me. Win would be nice but a loss and the manager should instantly be sacked...Let's see if RG has any bottle shall we. -

Thank you…many who know me well would chuckle at the reason for your praise 😆 On the radio my belief is more people will be engaged with our plight if I’m upbeat (stoic?) but I have zero evidence to back that claim 🤷♂️ -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

Hope the 'great meeting with MP Glen conveyed the passion GAV refers to Fair point Jimmy but the social element still includes the day at the ground, where the whole experience has been for a long time and probably currently still is a non existent atmosphere and just a drag - the idea of a social element is about it being an enjoyable and fulfilling despite the result - don't tell me anybody actually feels good about this at present and actually enjoys it... -
Thanks for all your messages of support gents. Very much appreciated, I'll keep you informed of the journey, almost as bad as the one Rovers are on 🙄👍

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Hasta replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Listened to the full 7 minute interview this morning. What a nobhead. His body language showed his discomfort, almost anger, at Bayes questioning which , whilst not being harsh, was just direct. His ‘can we just talk about football or end this now’ was telling. He could have said he just wanted to talk about the game, but he had to put the threat in there. Ismael and Rudy come across as two peas in the same pod. All the talk with Travis was he was just being honest when he threw him under the bus. He’s done it with Big Mak now and publically says Tyjon isnt good enough. All very well people saying at least he’s honest, but not when he clearly lies about the squad not having lost any quality. -
I think the season he saved us did some real damage to him. He played many games with injections towards the end of that season.

Confidence and momentum everything in this league. Coventry will take some stopping. Lampard has done a terrific job.

Eleven 18-30 year old men on two sides for a game in the Championship. All are professional footballers, all are fit and healthy, all are (relatively) well paid (compared to the local average wage) and all dream of playing at the highest level possible. Sounds pretty even when put like that. Then we wake up to: Experience vs out of their depth Confidence vs demoralised flapping Competent coaching vs incoherent vs incomprehensible game planning Strength in depth vs weakness wherever you look Leadership on the field vs disarray and misunderstanding A team playing for a respected and successful manager vs a bunch of raggedy muffin misfits clearly not engaged with their coach.. And that was just Tuesday night against an easily blunted Blades.. Coming to this afternoon's mismatch, what can we realistically expect? Rovers repeating regression vs Southampton gleeful long haul home? 0-2 Rovers Revival vs Southampton Slide? 1-0 Rovers on Routed vs Southampton sadly on song? 0-6 Remember, the 'Exciting Plan' is to pitch inexperienced & demoralised journeymen and make weights against battle-hardened professionals, then kick and hope. Football ISNT a funny old game when played like Russian Roulette with the safety catch off and a full magazine. BASTARDS! VENKYS PASHA AND THE BOY OUT!! -
Chris Samba also has 2 of his kids in the Man City academy and you are right that Matty Warhurst definitely not related to Paul

On X this morning. If we’re going to get Venky’s to leave, we need to educate people. Too many people still feel no one would buy us. Nice to see Glenn and Duncan taking the steps too to get them to leave- well done chaps! -
Under 21s won 2-0, penalty from Tyson and Powell. Interesting to see that Emile Heskey's two sons Jayden and Reigan both played for City. Matty Warhurst doesn't seem to be any relative of Paul though!
