  1. Past hour
  2. We are in a place were making a substitution is like asking if you want to be kicked in the balls or the head, we look clueless when changes are made (see 2nd goal). We get plenty of balls into the box, but they don't have a purpose. Crosser has a mentality of if I get it into the box I've done my job and the striker doesn’t make any decent movement, all this can be coached and drilled but game after game, no change. The long throws only bring one positive in my mind, less time for the opponents to have possession of the ball to score against us. Another evening were the away end is all cheers and having fun. I am sick to the back teeth of it, it is embarrassing. I can stand losing, but I cannot stand being set up from the start of the season to lose due to incompetent, arrogant people running the club with a clueless approach to player recruitment and sales.
  3. He will have doubled his wage from what he was on at a 2nd tier Belgium team (he was on loan in Scotland), and will have put himself in the shop window for a move to a well run club paying proper wages by the summer (or possibly even January)
  4. I suspect that all isn’t well between Scott and the stooges. Just a hunch that, but it feels that way.
  5. I'd make an exception for Scott Wharton, but you're right and he's suffering the same malaise as the rest.
  6. Still waiting on that new manager bounce.
  7. I know it's probably unwise to say so in public, as he did with Tavares as well, but once you're given a chance as a substitute then at least put some effort in and play the was you've been instructed. Gueye hasn't played with any intensity at all and Tavares who is more worried about looking dandy-ish than making it as a footballer. Sure it's difficult to come into a team that's disjointed and not looking like it's going to come back into the games, but at least show the fans and the manager that you're trying.
  8. Another one playing way above his skill set.
  9. Well... Always want to give a fair shake to a manager, and hes basically had an entire team sold from under him. That said, seen enough for him to go now. Pros - does seem to be able to setup a team to play well for the first hour or so Cons - cant bring on subs or change the system mid game without everything falling apart, poor defending free kick and set pieces, doesnt seem to care
  10. Woke up in a proper shit mood.
  11. I actually don't think that's our biggest issue, but it's certainly starting to become a factor now as well. I can see that McLoughlin is barking at his teammates, and Tronstad has looked quite unhappy in a few of our earlier matches as well. Kargo got a telling off after he went 10 yards offside on Hedges' flick-on, so this is a real test for the team spirit and Ismael looks more and more deflated for each day. We should've scored more in the first but also almost conceded two from set-pieces right before Ohashi scored, a goal that was more a fluke with de Neve trying to score and not crossing. Then in the second half we looked winded, Henriksson I thought ran out of steam after the first half and should've been replaced a lot earlier after going back to back matches in the Championship. Gardner-Hickman also went AWOL for the second half and everyone panicked as soon as the ball entered their feet - and that's when we have to rely on a bench that isn't up to standards... something that's glaringly obvious that it isn't, and the reason why Ismael is so reluctant to make the substitutions. This squad needs serious investment in January and just wonder if we will try and loan players despite Ismael being against it as a stop-gap solution, or if we'll actually spend some dough.
  12. Today
  13. Awful comments on Gueye and whilst I don't completely disagree as he's not amazing, it's a dickhead trick voicing his opinion like that in public. Gueye probably more than anyone at the club is a confidence player, treating him like that makes an average/poor player even less useful! VI is clearly a stubborn wanker and came up with the ridiculous concept of Hedges and Kargo up top as a result. I can't see many, if any of the players liking VI and I strongly suspect we'd see improvement in certain individuals performances if he went. Of course there's the argument they're well paid and owe it to the fans but ultimately its a job to them and nobody at all performs their best if they think their manager is a twat in any form of employment.
  14. And no wonder Pape is disinterested with that public assessment. Way to motivate your players Val
  15. Good to hear Duncan. I look forward to reading the minutes, if it’s not, what I heard. Any idea when they are being released and will I be a fair reflection of the meeting? I did hear what I posted, from some who attended last time and refused to attend this due to the farce with the minutes.
  16. He isnt wrong on Gueye. He is a shocking player and not only that, when he comes on he displays a terrible attitude and demeanour suggesting that he feels hard done by not to play more despite him being so useless. But again, saying it in public is not the right move. And its not the first time. I dont see any character or resilience in this sorry set of players, but it will only further decrease that when the manager is so public.
  17. Gudjohnsen hasnt shown that he is reasonable outside the box. We have conceded 2 goals in his 4 starts and there have been other wasted opposition counter attacks as a direct result of his inability to hold the ball up.
  18. Yesterday
  19. That’s a pretty shocking comment to out in the public domain, whilst backing other players who have looked pretty awful.
  20. Is it too early to start next seasons relegation thread? (From L1) Asking for a friend 🫣
  21. Shade over 3/1 now, we'll probably be evens if we lose Saturday. Some of those teams I expected to be down here with us like Hull, Charlton, Pompey etc all have a large points lead over us already. Wrexham and Oxford play each other tomorrow. A result for either of them extends their lead over us to either 5 or 6 points after just 11 matches. We have that game in hand, but we know what will happen there....
  22. I have him down as a reasonable player outside the box but not a goal scorer. Problem I saw (again) today is that players really don’t know where to put the crosses/final ball. That is a major coaching flaw - either pen spot or area between keeper and backline should be drilled into them all. Sure the odd miscue/overhit will still happen but right now it looks like they have never trained together
  23. Probably code locks on doors and the batteries are flat. Nobody knows whose job it is to go and buy new ones (if India approves the outlay)
  24. Pasha the fat rat has been the one orchestrating this bonkers strategy and setting Gestede/Owens up to be the scapegoats when it goes wrong. He is the one who drove out JDT and Eustace. He is the one who pushed the crackpot summer window replacing proven players with nobodies from abroad. He is the one who has driven out any dissenting voices be it academy prospects like Leonard, coaches and other staff. If the turd Pasha hangs around whilst the others get sacked then we are no further forward in removing any of the poison from the club.
  25. Where is he hiding these days?
  26. There will always be desperados or wannabes willing to give it a go.
