  1. Past hour
  2. Senior moment from me there. πŸ˜‰ I got Grimsby and Gillingham mixed up, Gilsenan is at Grimsby, Cirino at Gillingham with Ainsworth
  3. Agreed- I thought Cirino looked a great prospect from the limited coverage I saw of him. Gareth Ainsworth is the Gills boss now. He could have two far above L2 gems if he they can keep injury free.
  4. Former U21 Lenni Cirino signed for Gillingham yesterday. Cirino had been at Clitheroe last year, which seemed a very low level for him based on what I had seen of him in the past
  5. Today
  6. I still think Baradji covers both RW and CM in typical budget Rovers fashion.
  7. John Martyn - I’d Rather Be the Devil
  8. Doesn't really help the here and now but could always park Baradji till the winter transfer window if we want him still. The Swiss league will be on winter break for a month from December, see how many games he's managed with this mystery injury. I'm not convinced it's just a dicky foot though....
  9. His last act on this earth was to manage a 2-0 win over the unwashed. He can be club President at the very least.
  10. Perhaps we could compromise on Crompton and make him the manager?
  11. Not really managed it since Hughesy. We had something like 12 international captains and vice captains in that side 🀣
  12. Yesterday
  13. I have. I’ve also been to Fans Forum meetings. They are completely different formats.
  14. It isnt, but we usually fall well short. Players who obviously arent as good as your first 11, but the gap isnt too big. Your subs need to be at least capable of coming in and not significantly weakening you. Baker was a good case. He wasnt as good as Tronstad or Travis but he was still a good Championship player. Forshaw was a bad case. When he came in to start he was such a significant downgrade. Buckley is the same. Hopefully Tavares is more of a Baker than a Forshaw/Buckley. Similar with Alebiosu at right back. Weve not got it in many positions at the moment. Pickering and Ribeiro feels pretty interchangable so if one is out, I would be fine with the other in.
  15. Morecambe on the brink of expulsion from the national League. First three games postponed next meeting 20th August could see the club thrown out.
  16. Ex rover Lennie Cirino joins Gillingham from Clitheroe
  17. If he is healed up and in match fitness when the injuries around January approaches, I guess that is most important...?
  18. That is the most Scott thing ever πŸ˜„
  19. Handicap Odds on bet365 (You have to win the league with all the other teams handicaps added as well. )
  20. I would be tempted the get the lad with the dodgy foot signed. Sign him up if he's good. This way we can manage his return to fitness and hopefully avoid further injury while playing 70 mins in meaningless games. He can also use the time to get accustomed to doing things the Rovers way get up to speed with Val's style of play and football philosophy.
  21. Two deputies of "starting standard" who are willing to sit on the bench virtually every week? That's the balance required, not easy to achieve.
  22. Not 4 of the same quality, but 2 deputies that you can at least start who are of a reasonable standard. Like Baker and hopefully Tavares.
  23. Horses for courses n all that, there aren't many teams that can carry 4 or 5 "starters"
  24. and you quoted that you don`t drinkπŸ˜†
  25. They were offered support from an external company to fund the women's team and they turned it down and then disbanded it. It's just another glaring example of what pathetic, petulant pieces of shit they are.
  26. Hopefuly he doesnt start any games as hes not good enough to do so.
  27. Sorry but if Tugay is not in your best all time Rovers 11 then you've got it wrong. There's a few players that should always be in there regardless: Shearer - No explanation necessary Tugay - World class. Made mugs out of so many highly rated players with absolutely zero effort. Doesn't get anywhere near the amount of credit and respect he deserves. Friedel - The best Keeper in the world at one point, and that was whilst he was playing for us. Duff - Again, absolutely world class. Would get into any team around when he was at his peak, which again was whilst he was at Rovers. Another that gets talked about and is mentioned by many folk: Douglas - Much harder for those of us who didn't see him to comment as there's not the video evidence available as there is with the others, but he's always so highly rated by those who did see him that's hard to ignore. Also played in a totally different era so that's hard to compare. Bob Crompton could also be in this category, even harder as there's nobody alive who saw him play. Again, a completely different era.
