Why the hell isn’t Stokes bringing the field in on ball 4/5 to keep the number 9 on strike? Amateur hour.

He was a pressing forward in his first loan spell at Motherwell, no lack of work there (less so in his second spell, mainly because he was constantly injured). I actually wonder if his ability to press the opposition defence was hampered by multiple injuries, leading to him having to preserve his energy/body. As it happens, he lasted less than a month at his new club before another lengthy injury (on his first start, after 3 appearances off the bench) -
The Aynsley Pears depreciation thread.

Has Pears kept a clean sheet since he’s been back in the side? I saw his interview in LT begging to keep his spot in the team Whilst he may not have been at fault for any goals we have conceded recently as in he hasn’t fumbled or made a direct mistake I do wonder if he is not as clear or direct at communicating with his defence as we had kept a few clean sheets prior to him returning -

I’d have Leonard over Gueye any day, bit of a strange departure considering they weren’t going to bother with strikers outside Gudjohnsen. -
I can still remember Motty’s commentary from that day, ‘the new grandstand has opened, the Walkersteel’… and it looked shit just two and a bit years later when the new Darwen End opened.

The potential route to the final is horrendous as group winners as is runner up. Spain, Argentina Brazil all sit in our path. Providing they top their groups

5.30am no rain, bit windy -
No revisionism here - go and search my posts on Vale if you like. I actually thought he had a bit of ability, but he didn't look like he was even trying. He jogged after everything. Leonard would be first man off the bench in this 3-5-2 / 3-4-3 (I think we alternate) as at least he puts the graft in.

Went to Hull season before last, Vale came on to help close the game out and really did do a job closing down, did really well. I thought it may be him trying to stake a claim but that was as good as it got. -

Weather was horrendous around 4pm today - I drove past Ewood and up LBR, there was more surface water on the road than I can remember seeing. But it's since died down a bit. If it picks up again overnight, I think it might be at risk. -
Rovers's January transfer needs
Torgeir replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Got good workrate and mobility, and will grow into a decent Championship player. Lacks a lot, can't pass for one, but we're pretty desperate so I'd sign him as well if it's cheap enough and his wages aren't too daft. -

The usual BRFCS revisionism and before it breaks into a typical twisted narrative nobody is saying he was good he wasn't up to it. But the odd good cameo he had he proved useful a time or two as a sub helping see a game out and the point here being that Gueye although being a totally different style of player has proven equally as useless overall since hes been here. He was signed for Eustaceball though whilst were we find ourselves now with Ismael's style ironically the Vales and Leonard's on the bench would suit it better.
