The £100m valuation appears to be without merit and has no logical backing." During Chansiri's time in charge of the club, Wednesday have lost almost £200m. He originally spent heavily as he targeted a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2000, and has regularly turned down significant bids from rival clubs for sought-after players. But in recent years his spending has receded significantly, and the Owls are far more likely to be playing in League One than the Premier League in the next few years.

He might be great at the role, and I’m concerned over absolutely nothing. BUT Carlton Cole had 4 years as a coach under his belt before being appointed to loan manager. Edit - my mistake, 6 years as a coach. Jonny Evans has been given the role just this summer with no coaching experience, like Rhodes has, and at a club almost as dysfunctional as ours. The one thing Evans does at least have is leadership experience, a captain for Leicester City, West Brom, and Northern Ireland. From a non-emotional perspective, Rhodes has as much qualification for the role as I do. I would argue I have at least been in multiple roles where I am responsible for others and their development.

100%.. And there is so much known about the negative impact of a bullying culture on morale, performance, staff retention-in particular, the impact on the motivation of an organisation's best staff.. I always felt that our positive culture/camaraderie etc was a key reason that the team managed to punch so far above its weight-particularly under Eustace. Now, not only has that been eroded, it seems to have been replaced by the polar opposite. So, do we think this more or less likely to help the team survive a very challenging season?

Full agree about both of these people, especially about the last line about cowardice. No doubting that people like him, are happy to threaten people who they consider to be inferior to them and go off crying, once they receive the proverbial punch on the nose. I despise bullies.

Forshaw didn't "technically" leave did he? His contract was up on June 30th and he resigned on the 19th June, so no doubt they will try and count that one. No, just that we are apparently "interested". Transfer window is done and he needs some clicks on his patron, easy story to do with us losing out CB without a replacement on deadline day. This won't happen.

As people keep pointing out to me - it's more to do with the fact that Hyam is noticeably worse at LCB. I'm not sure why that is.

Signed it within a day of his 17th birthday to be fair, Tyjon turned 17 back in March and still hasn't signed up, will be amazed if he does.

Anyone know what Nixon said about Dawson exactly? Is it looking likely? Big hopes for this one. Potential season defining signing, really important they get this done. Especially in the international break to start getting him up to speed and integrated.

I'm not really excited about this one i'm sure there are others out there if anyone is bothering to look. Doesn't need to be a high profile guy look at Batth and Mcfadz, just need someone fit enough, still has legs and good experience/leader qualities at this level.

Rudy has put his money where his mouth is at least, if we (expectedly) drop like a stone, this is his manager and it’s his team. He will be responsible, same in the unlikely event it goes the other way. I must admit, for a website that’s common theme is rightfully “we can’t go anywhere with Venkys”, we do love to shoot the messengers, and please don’t bring up this he said she said stuff, I’ve had it up to the brim.

But as pointed out - many of these roles, even in the prem, are taken up by “graduate” coaches / scouts. Carlton Cole and Johnny Evans for example.

Whilst it probably is a lower cost job for his mate, is not unusual to appoint a former player with not much experience of anything else. So many ways is three in total. It is a poor appointment in terms of: Experience coaching. Experience scouting. Experience in football administration. Experience as a leader. Experience in literally any role outside of playing football.

I doubt that will be impacting him in any way otherwise he'd take the first offer wouldn't he. Considering the likes of Birmingham are interested means if it's about money that's where he goes, if it isn't we've a chance.
