  1. Past hour
  2. Hiring Selles was a baffling decision.
  3. Brittain money wasnโ€™t spent either. I wonder if (despite the inclination to the contrary) that they have decided that some of the money bought in can be spent. I know it was previously said that this wasnโ€™t the case but it doesnโ€™t really make sense.
  4. We were always supposed to be getting a right winger anyway. Anything beyond that is just speculation at this stage. But sales of Brittain, Travis and Buckley will cover the purchases. As much as they claim it makes no difference.
  5. Nothing. The transfer window is still open and the playing squad won't be finalised until it's closed.
  6. To be fair, I dont think anyone expected him to do well in La Liga. Its more that some were trying to suggest that he had ideas beyond his station and should have accepted our poor offer, especially as he didnt accept something straight away.
  7. I've seen enough of Dolan to know that in the long run it won't work out for him in La Liga. I don't even need to monitor it. He got a free transfer move to a nearly relegated La Liga side. They look absolutely desperate and have put together a side of almost entirely free transfers and loans again this year. After spending nothing the year before. I'm thankful we don't have to watch him running down blind alleys, hitting tame "shots", weak crosses and taking on no one in the Championship anymore..... Amar'i Bell and Cauley Woodrow made Premier League appearances. Move on. We needed better. Him leaving should absolutely benefit our attack if we spend a bit of money.
  8. He will play well on his first start, his problem will be doing it on a regular basis, same as it was here.
  9. I get that he is a bit of a cock. But did Martin do something or say something about/ahead of a game against us? Seems to have a very specific dislike on here!
  10. Travis fee, Buckley fee, Leonard maybe 200k or something? Plus wages. Their replacements will be on wages sub 10k a week...
  11. I thought he was just ok at Rovers so no confirmation bias. I always thought heโ€™d get a better move than being here by letting his contract run out, but surprised he ended up at somewhere like Espanyol. But in two appearances he has looked good for them. Just look on twitter. These are just a handful of examples.
  12. More of our players are linked away too, @ruggles1995 so it's a double-edged sword. Hope we can get an announcement tomorrow for the Japanese lad.
  13. What's changed in Rovers transfer dealings? Suddenly have a bit of budget? I don't understand
  14. Good win Saturday with a good performance. I like the fact we are now linked with more than 1 player. Weโ€™re about 2/3 players of quality short to have a potential playoff sniffing squad I think. Canโ€™t say I know anything about the players we are lined with. But the good sign is hopefully they want more than 1 more signing. Need the depth
  15. I think most of the frustration from Rovers fans were down to us believing that there was a player in there - he just never seemed to grow out of the unnecessary stepovers and pivots. Had he stuck to the basics and worked harder on things like crossing and finishing, he'd be much higher rated. However, hopefully a fresh start for him will help him kick on.
  16. Agree wholeheartedly on this. We will sign a couple of loans you would imagine, could see one being a keeper.
  17. Buckley has coasted through his time here and will continue coasting wherever he ends up once he's got the ink dry on a new contract. Looks like another of those just happy to play football for money and not bothered about anything else.
  18. Today
  19. The fact he's even at a club like that starting games in La Lige kind of suggests he was never as crap as his constant knockers on here like to make out. Frustrating yes, crap ..no.
  20. Led to believe Leonard has been told to not even bother showing for training as he has no future at the club, same for Buckley. I feel for Leonard, we all really wanted him to progress but his body just says nope far more than it should at his age. Buckley as I've said many times before, simply doesn't appear to have the desire to succeed here or anywhere, odd player, odd attitude.
  21. That makes him sound like Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets rolled into one! Looking at Forest's equaliser, I believe it is Wharton who is one of two Palace players that get somewhat done in the middle of the park before the Forest player plays an exceptional through pass for their goal. I might be being harsh, but to my mind those scenarios show that he is a little weak defensively. It wasn't the fact he got beat but how far off he was. Maybe I am being harsh, but either way, I think at this stage he needs a Will Hughes alongside him to do a lot of the physical work.
  22. Not being funny, but there's all high praise on here, but google has him lowest ranked of the 6 attacking players. He's actually joint second lowest from the entire Espanyol team at 3.7. Haven't watched a minute since he's been gone. But there's either some misty eyed confirmation bias going on from his longstanding supporters. Or google is way off the mark. To quantify, google is pretty close to the mark on Rovers games etc I do watch. Certainly ballpark. So something doesn't add up here. I'll make an effort to view with my own eyes though, just to head off the cheerleader backlash. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  23. 18-24 months is a long time as manager in the Championship ๐Ÿ˜‰
  24. Can only assume that some members of the Ewood Park jury were wrong. When is he disappearing without trace Nyambe style then ?
  25. I think Toth is the far likelier of the two to be eligible for conversion in January. edited to add: Having โ€˜crunched the numbersโ€™ I think Kargbo being eligible is more realistic than my instinct thought.
