  2. From supporters consultation meeting 2017 Andy Bayes: Quick question form the floor. Paul Keogh: I think most people in this room or most supporters at home will be pleased to hear that we’re no longer linked to SEM and Kentaro. Does that also mean that Suhail Pasha no longer works for Kentaro? Because he did previously. Paul Senior: Well I can’t comment on what he previously did but I do know that at this moment in time he’s not employed by those organisations; he’s employed by the owners. He looks after a number of the, or has a relationship with a number of the owners’ portfolios, including this Football Club - working in other countries as well. I have not been aware of any link or relationships between a professional at that level. He’s employed by the owners, by the club. James: What’s his real name, Mike? Obviously on Linked in, he’s called Suhail Sheikh. Every news article I read – Lancashire Evening Telegraph, even yourself referred to him as Suhail Pasha. So what’s his name: Suhail Sheikh or Pasha? Mike Cheston: I only know him as just Suhail. Paul Keogh: My question is to Mike. It’s regarding Suhail: you’ve just confirmed that he is employed by the club. Does he have a title for the club at all? Mike Cheston: Yes he does have a title. Paul Keogh: Which is…? Mike Cheston: Errrrrr errrrrrm Something like ‘Management Consultant’. I can’t remember the exact title. Paul Keogh: And do you not find it a little bit concerning from your point of view, Mike, that Paul has come along tonight and confirmed that he can openly pick up the phone and speak to Belaji or Venkatesh over in India? You’ve been here for how long now? Mike Cheston: Three years. Paul Keogh: Three years and you still have to go through Suhail? Mike Cheston: I don’t have to… Paul Keogh: Well why is he here, then? If you can open dialogue with the owners freely, why are we wasting money, under the current financial position that we’re in, and paying a Director or ‘Management Consultant’ to jet between India and England? Is that not a drain on our resources? Mike Cheston: I’ll confirm his exact title. I just can’t remember at the moment.
  3. I really hope they at least do a one-off special programme for the match in November. And maybe put a bit of effort in, make it an A4 size one and bumper-length so that it feels a bit special and worthy of adding to our collections 🤞 Hopefully no foreward from Pasha or the owners either, unless it's to say they're leaving.
  4. Well that surely is the end of that then whatever thr confusion
  5. I'll go off what you say and assume it's not up to date. Cheers for clarifying
  6. Yep and the attached too, is no doubt pure coincidence,
  7. And there is Adam Owen who joined Rovers from Hibs and now works closely with Gestede.
  8. Miyoshi came on at half time in his game.
  9. Don't think it's as much any one agent in particular now but given the chance as a collective they'll suck the life blood out of you.
  10. And as if by magic, here it is. Did the agents ever leave? https://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/news/2022/september/06/Report-Hibs-Dev-Squad-2-2-Dundee-United/
  11. Plenty of connections with just one element of it. Gestede hooking up with Keane and then arriving back at Ewood as a trainee executive. Kean goes to Hibs and we have connections there and do not be too surprised if he is connected to our recent signing, Miller.
  12. I must have been watching a different game. Other than the penalty which the referee got wrong ( and I dont suppose we'll be complaining when we get a soft one) I didn't think he did much wrong at all. Nor did I think it was an overly physical game. It's not a non contact sport yet, at least not in the Championship. Have we turned into a team of whingers like Arsenal under Wenger?
  13. I think the case with Hamer, Souza & Ahmedhodzic is that they are all much better than Championship level, so whilst they may be prepared to give igt 1 year to get promoted, they were always likely to be off if that didn't happen. Personally see O'Hare as being a little below their level, still very good for the Championship, bugt not quite as glaringly playing below his level as the 3 I mentioned above The others they have lost were either loans (Gilchrist, Brereton, Souttar, Rak-Sakyi, Clarke, Holding) or players not from their first 11 (Moore, Brewster) if I recall rightly. Still a huge turnover of players though
  14. Agreed - although in this case it’s the main GBE criteria which has the following issue. The category ‘League Quality of Player’s current club’ doesn’t set out at what date/point this changes in the case of promotion/ relegation. I’m as certain as I can be that whether he plays today or not is irrelevant - I’ve no clue as to whether the game ‘happening’ (ie his club’s season starting) is the trigger for his points reduction.
  15. Nuisance factor being he bullies the CBs, holds the ball up, wins headers and brings others into play? He's clearly not a natural finisher, but if he was he wouldn't be here. Giles would get 15 assists playing with Gueye up top.
  16. I am not saying to never use the throw in. But to specifically play tactics endlessly launching it to Gueye would not lead to any more goals.
  17. But I am specifically saying that you said he was a terrible signing. How do you think he did yesterday? As you seem reluctant to comment.
  18. We said similar yesterday. O'Hare could be another to leave. Sheffield United still have parachute payments coming in which makes selling so many players whilst not spending much seems odd.
  19. The season's a day old and Im already sick to death of highlighting the chronic lack of firepower in the squad. I was starting to think I was living in a parallel universe with many others saying "Nah, we'll be ok., we only play with one striker, so we've got enough, we just need another midfielder who can double up on the RHS and more centre back cover!" Feel somewhat vindicated after yesterday, we were even more toothless than I expected. Actually thought West Brom were pretty poor, a really good side would have put us well and truly to the sword. At least two half decent strikers needed to supplement the likely output from Ohashi and Gueye imo plus a decent RW to replace Dolan. Not even sure if LW is satisfactory either tbh, De Neve looks miles off the required standard (very strange signing) and I still have the same view on Kargbo that I had within the first 30 mins of watching him play that he has pace but negligible end product. The manager worries me greatly. Has assembled a very unbalanced squad and when are we going to see this high intensity pressing football he allegedly favours? Yesterday couldn't have been more slow and pedestrian if you'd tried and whenever we picked up the ball in the opposition half yesterday the ball invariably went sideways and backwards a couple of times. Great in press conferences but on the basis of the 13 competitive games we've seen from him I think we're being sold a pup.
  20. Very underwhelming performance yesterday. Toth...two very dodgy moments but a couple of good saves too. Few thoughts on the new arrivals: Alebiosu...energetic and did okay but his second touch always looks like it might be a tackle. Miller... similar. Looks a bit of a beast but also looks clumsy. De Neve...innocuous. Henriksson...hoped for more. Needs to get up to speed but he's only been with us for a couple of days. McLoughlin...steady debut. Tavares...not enough time to form an opinion. We definitely need more than one in...
  21. I think that’s wrong as his club is no longer Bundesliga - of course it could be me who’s wrong.
  22. I'm not sure he can be considered that much of a threat yet at 17, I'm more surprised because we are trying to persuade him his future lies here. I may not be in favour of starting him just to do that, but he should be making the bench unless he's injured.
  23. He was literally on the shortlist before Gestede came?
  24. It does seem that the esc rules/laws have been badly written, almost fuzzy around the edges rather than being cut & dry
  25. If that “ tackle “ is at the home end of any ground 100% of the time it’s a given penalty. Who’d take it and whether we’d score from it is another story. My money would be on Ohashi.
